WWE keeps wondering "why can't anybody but John Cena get consistently over?" They wonder that even after completely rewriting the Survivor Series 2012 Pay Per View, just 2 weeks away.

Before this week, the Survivor Series card was initially booked as having Team Punk vs. Team Foley for a 5 on 5 Survivor Series classic match, with the focus of the match being the fact that CM Punk had to contend with Ryback being on the opposite team. This would thus continue the Hell in the Cell finish storyline that saw CM Punk escaping Ryback due to a crooked referee. Then, with Vickie Guerrero back in charge, tension exists with her accusations towards John Cena and that led to a match with Dolph Ziggler. Oh, and a rematch between Sheamus and Big Show which NOBODY wants to watch was also booked.

Funny thing is that only Sheamus vs. Big Show survived as an actual match for Survivor Series... The WWE Creative Staff at the RAW tapings tonight in England completely made over the Survivor Series 2012 card. The Main Event will now be a Triple Threat match with CM Punk (c) vs. John Cena vs. Ryback while Dolph Ziggler has been swapped with CM Punk for the 5 on 5 Survivor Series match with the opposite team still needing to replace Ryback. Wow... This reeks of a Vince McMahon tirade and quite possibly a panic button pushing after a recent decline in ratings.

If I were CM Punk, I would enjoy my reign as WWE Champion. It MAY be coming to an end and the Royal Rumble 2013 match with the Rock might actually be in jeopardy. Instead of CM Punk vs. Rock, we might get Rock vs. John Cena II at Royal Rumble 2013 and Rock vs. Cena III at Wrestlemania 29. I sense that this is happening, as the WWE wants to maximize on the Rock's appearances and continue to put him with the company's biggest star. It did great business at Wrestlemania 28, so why not?

It must be CM Punk's fault for the low ratings, right? (sarcasm) After all, he has BARELY main evented Pay Per Views as the WWE Champion and who can forget how bad he was neutered in 2011 after Money in the Bank 2011. YES, I'm still making that point about how his massive push was "buried". WWE continues to drop the ball on CM Punk booking by blowing his WWE Title reign and possibly ignoring a great business with the match-up against the Rock at Royal Rumble 2013. But two John Cena vs. Rock matches could be tempting to the WWE, especially in a ratings panic... I'm sure USA Network has been in contact with the WWE lately.

I feel far worse for Dolph Ziggler. This feud and Pay Per View showcase with John Cena could have been what officially put Ziggler on the map as a legitimate main eventer. Ziggler is possibly the best in-ring talent that the WWE has right now and all he might require is some favorable booking to be a deadly main event heel in the WWE. Now, thanks to ADD booking by the WWE, he's been demoted to the undercard while John Cena gets elevated to a new Main Event match of Survivor Series.

Makes you wonder if Dolph is in the WWE doghouse... Just seems too abrupt that Ziggler was yanked out of the John Cena match and the Survivor Series card was retooled. After all, John Cena vs. Ryback vs. CM Punk could have easily headlined the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (TLC) Pay Per View next month. For all we know, Ziggler could be complaining backstage that he hasn't been pushed adequately to the main event scene. The WWE walls have ears and previous complainers have been dealt a bad hand by WWE Creative. Just ask several of the Ohio Valley Wrestling "Class of 2002" who complained about their pushes throughout the 2000's and why the WWE isn't returning their calls to return.

WWE Creative and Vince McMahon need to add more consistency to booking and stop undercutting their wrestlers NOT named John Cena. As I read around the "Internet Wrestling Community", there was actual real excitement for Dolph Ziggler finally getting a Pay Per View shot at John Cena while the 5 on 5 Survivor Series match was well received with fans actually anticipating the classic Survivor Series format and how it push the Punk vs. Ryback feud further. WWE has repeatedly shred scripts and cards and it thus hurts fan confidence in the product. Why would I want to watch regularly if the storylines that I'm following can just disappear in one week?

Think of all of the wrestlers pushed hard and then quickly snapped back. Brodus Clay and Lord Tensai are perfect examples for 2012. Both were pushed as HOSSES hard with stupid gimmicks after Wrestlemania 28. Where are they now? Both are getting squashed and their pushes to the top are over. WWE has repeatedly tried to push Alberto Del Rio as a main event heel and then quickly changes their mind. WWE pushed the Miz hard through 2010 and through 2011 but quickly let John Cena smash him in the end. How was that Intercontinental Reign, Miz? WWE Creative's ADD on CM Punk has been ridiculous. Not sure what Jack Swagger's role has been and he's a former World Champion. WWE pulled back on Sheamus but are now shoving him down our throats HARD.

Ryback is now the guy getting pushed ahead of the line. Sure, he looks great because the other attempted pushes were undercut before they were able to mature. With due respect to Ryback, his push is just 6 months old and he's yet to prove that he's a draw. If you want to scapegoat CM Punk as WWE Champion for the low ratings, you've got to latch everybody else on the team as well. Ryback is becoming a regular feature of WWE programming and of RAW as of late, and he should thus own some of the ratings blame as well. Without any proven track record of having high merchandise sales or success at houseshows, how are we to know that Ryback deserves a main event push and NOT Dolph Ziggler?

In my opinion, the WWE just made Survivor Series 2012 WORSE... Ziggler vs. Cena would have been an in-ring clinic while the Punk vs. Ryback feud would have been advanced easily in the 5 on 5 match, and make no mistake, that 5 on 5 match was LOADED with good in-ring talent. What on earth is the WWE thinking?!?

Yet, Sheamus vs. Big Show is STILL ON! Smell the buyrate!
