(Doc’s Note - Ladies and gentlemen, I appreciate the support, thus far, for my book. It has been an interesting ride. I put a lot of extracurricular hours into this project and I’m very proud of it. After the early reviews came back so positive, it confirmed for me that I had written a book that people would enjoy reading. As with my columns, the book was written with discussion in mind and an understanding that not everyone would agree with my observations and insights. I hoped, though, that it would become a resource for the ultimate wrestling debate of “who’s the greatest ever.” Thank you guys for giving me this outlet to converse about wrestling. It has been a thoroughly enjoyable part of my life for ten years, from the CMV1 reviewing days to Doctor’s Orders to The WrestleMania Era. I hope you enjoy the book!)

“I've read a lot of Professional Wrestling books such as The Squared Circle: Life, Death, and Professional Wrestling. Mankind's Have A Nice Day: A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks. Chris Jericho's Undisputed: How to Become the World Champion in 1,372 Easy Steps. Cheating Death, Stealing Life: The Eddie Guerrero Story. With that being said I got The Doc's book I put it down to go to sleep, woke up read some more, went to work, came home and finished it within 24 hours. After I finished it I put it on my bookshelf ahead of the previous stated books. That is how highly I rate it. The WrestleMania Era: The Book of Sports Entertainment is the best wrestling book I have ever read. And I for one would like to hope that The Doc writes more wrestling books in the future cause I will be one of the 1st in line.”

"‘The Doc’ has a smooth writing style that is easy to read and leaving you wanting more. The book is well written and after each chapter, he leaves you wanting to pull out a DVD or go to YouTube to want the wrestlers top matches. He also has researched the wrestlers well and draws attention to many forgotten NWA wrestlers that get there due recognition for their wrestling contributions. This book is highly recommended for anyone who loves wrestling, grew up watching wrestling or wants to learn more about the top wrestlers of the past 30 years.” – Dr. A.M.

“I have been writing online columns for roughly the same amount of time as The Doc has. I've seen this man grow from a reviewer into one of the best wrestling writers on the internet. Now, he's brought his amazing analysis and level-headed viewpoint to the world of print. This book is something than any fan of the wrestling business should have, as it accurately and entertainingly walks you through the greatest stars of the WrestleMania era. This is absolute great work here by Chad, and I can't wait to read what he has next.” - Rance Morris; Columnist, PWMania.com

“I just thought it would be a written history, page to page. But I was very pleased to find the countdown. Finest wrestling book since Bret Hart's autobiography” - Mark Hallam, long-time LOP reader

“Chad Matthews has written an amazing book. His knowledge of the industry over the previous three decades is second to none. The details of each grappler's career and milestone matches jump off the pages and will evoke vivid memories for the fans of sports entertainment. The chapters provide a wealth of information about the biggest stars of the last 30 years. It is my hope that "The Doc" continues writing about the stars of the ring for many years to come. If you are a wrestling fan, this book is a must read!” - Chris
