WWE Superstars on WGN America 5/7/09
Taped in Buffalo, NY and Pittsburgh, PA.

The opening video aired and Edge’s music hit immediately. Todd Grisham and Jim Ross welcomed us to Superstars as Edge made his entrance. They hyped Jeff Hardy winning the Fatal Fourway from last week’s Smackdown as he is the guest on "The Cutting Edge." Edge’s music hit and he had some serious heel heat. Edge introduced Jeff Hardy who came out to a monster pop. Jeff made an Undertaker length entrance to shake hands and pose on the turnbuckles. Edge sat down and had Jeff do the same.

Edge mentioned the promo he cut on Cena a few weeks ago and how he predicted he would beat him. Edge pointed out his prediction came true. Edge said he had rid himself of one longtime rival and he was going to do it again to Jeff at Judgment Day. He said he was exorcising his demons. He had to stop because of a "Hardy, Hardy" chant from the crowd. Edge said it didn’t matter because it was going to end the same way it always does, with Edge victorious and Jeff crawling back to whatever hole he came from.

Jeff pointed out he beat Edge to win his first championship. Edge called it a lucky night. Jeff pointed out that lucky is when a brother turns on a brother and left him lying in the ring for a cheap win from Edge. Hardy said he had battled his brother but he was still missing something, championship gold. Edge went off about how they had come to WWE about the same time and he had made more of his time than Jeff. He said Jeff wanted everybody to believe he had turned over a new leaf, but he knew Jeff was still a screwup. Jeff thanked him for the trip down memory lane and said if Edge thought they had been through a lot before, he better hold on because they were going to go through more together.

He kicked Edge and went for the Twist of Fate but Edge pushed him into the corner. Edge tried for the spear but Jeff moved and Edge hit the middle buckle. Jeff hit the Twist of Fate followed by the Swanton. Jeff held up the belt and then celebrated with the fans up the ramp. Edge recovered into the commercial.

The announce team hyped Morrison vs. Jericho for later.

Back from commercial, Santina and the Divas made their entrances.

1. Santina and Kelly Kelly defeated Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes at 4:16. Santina and Rosa started. Rosa kicked Santina in the butt. Santina ran back and forth to "walk it off." Beth tagged in and chased Santina to the corner who tagged in Kelly. Kelly drug Rosa in and put her in the corner. She hit a couple of flips into a elbow. She ordered Santina to do the same and he/she did a sad version of it, though he/she did hit one cartwheel.

The distraction allowed Beth to take control and hit a back breaker. Beth and Rosa worked in and out on Kelly. She finally managed to kick away from Beth and get the hot tag. Santina hit a couple of roll ups on Rosa. In the end, he rolled Beth up, the ref started to count but Santina stood up and hit a drop toe hold on Rosa. Beth rolled from the ring, Kelly tagged in and hit a Fameasser on Rosa after using Rosa’s back to push off of.

Finlay and Zach Ryder were shown backstage getting ready for their match next.

2. Finlay defeated Zach Ryder at 3:42. Josh Matthews and Matt Stryker welcomed us to the ECW match. Ryder kept checking his hair. Finlay roughed his hair up and Ryder got pissed and pushed Finlay, so Finlay bitch slapped him and worked power. Ryder managed to kick Finaly who rolled to the floor. Ryder tried to hit a plancha over the top, but Finlay caught him in the apron and punched him.

Finlay rolled Ryder back in the ring. Ryder stomped him on the way in and locked in a reverse chin lock. Finlay countered with a chin buster for two. Ryder rolled out and Finlay clotheslined him on the floor. Finlay rolled him back in and again got leveled when he came back in. Ryder whipped Finlay to the corner and charged in. Back in the ring, Jericho locked in a head lock and dropped to a rest hold. Both men rolled through counters until Jericho locked in a rear chin lock. Morrison stood him up and pushed him to the ropes. Morrison lost the shoulder tackle challenge. Jericho ran the ropes, Morrison rolled under, then leap frogged over Jericho and hit a drop kick. Back at 5:54, Jericho had a rest hold locked in on Morrison’s head/shoulders. Morrison fought out, but Jericho hit a knee on a running Morrison and used the ropes to choke him. Morrison flipped out of a suplex attempt and Morrison worked quick offense with a kick to the face and a knee to a sitting Jericho for two. Morrison went for the Moonlight Drive and Jericho escaped. He went for a Liosault but Morrison moved and hit a reverse facebuster for two. Morrison hit a corkscrew splash of the top rope and Jericho got his foot on the rope. Jericho reversed a Morrison move and locked in the Walls of Jericho but Morrison made the ropes.

Morrison grabbed the ropes on a whip and hit a springboard kick to Jericho’s face. Shelton Benjamin’s music hit and Morrison looked towards the ramp. Benjamin appeared on the screen and said, "Hey Morrison, remember me, I’m Shelton Benjamin, the Gold Standard. And now that I have your attention, I got you." Morrison looked confused and turned around into a code breaker. Jericho covered for the win. Post match, Benjamin came out and stood at the top of the ramp and yelled, "I got you." Morrison looked pissed in the ring to end the show.
