Report by Richard Trionfo & PWinsider.com

Tonight, Dolph Ziggler returns to the ring after making his return to a WWE arena on television Monday night. We will have a tag match based on what happened on Raw. Randy Orton was giving an RKO to Daniel Bryan at the end of Smackdown. On Raw, they were kind of buddy buddy. On Sunday, they will be ‘strange bedfellows’ with a chance to win the Tag Titles. What will happen when we have a six man tag match featuring the participants in the United States and Tag Title matches?

We are in Greensboro, North Carolina and your announcers are Michael Cole and John Layfield.

Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring and he has something to say. Daniel says that if you asked him when he first debuted in the WWE, would you be the World Champion, he would have responded with ‘Yes’. If you would have asked him if you were going to lose the title in 18 seconds, he would responded with ‘No’. If you asked him if he could win the tag titles with anyone on the roster, he would say ‘Yes’. Would he have spent nine months with the Devil’s Favorite Demon, he would have said ‘No’. Him and Kane were one of the best tag teams in the WWE.

Daniel wants Kane to come out and Daniel covers his ears for the pyro.

Kane makes his way to the ring. He says that he knows why he was called out here, but it is neither the time nor the place. All he cares about is the six man tag match tonight.

Daniel tells Kane that they need to get everything out in the open. The last nine months have been an incredible ride. They have been an awesome team in the ring and he is proud of what they have done outside the ring to become better partners.

At Payback, Kane will not be his partner. When he wins, he will be the Tag Team Champions with someone else. Daniel says that he will no longer be teaming with Kane any more.

Kane asks Daniel if he is breaking up with him. Kane says that when he beats Dean Ambrose on Sunday, the same thing will happen.

Daniel says that they can still team if Kane is the United States Champion, but Daniel and Randy will be the champions. Daniel says that Vickie is wrong because him and Randy will not be “Team RK-Never”, they will be “Team RK-NO”.

Kane is jealous at the fact that Daniel has a team name already. Kane says that Daniel is acting like winning the match is a given. Kane says that since they couldn’t beat the Shield and there is the fact that Daniel despises Randy Orton.

Daniel asks Kane if he thinks he can do it.

Kane says that he does not.

Daniel says that Kane thinks he is the weak link. He says that they had the Shield beaten already and he will prove on Sunday that he is not the weak link. Kane will have to sit back and know that Randy and him did something that they could never do.

Kane wants to know if Daniel is calling him the weak link.

Daniel says maybe Kane is right, this may not be the team.

Daniel says that Kane is the weak link.

Kane grabs Daniel’s throat and Randy Orton’s music plays. Randy tells Kane he cannot let him do that. He knows and understands why Kane wants to choke slam Daniel, but he needs Daniel at 100% at Payback. Whatever Kane does to Daniel affects him . . . so if Kane choke slams him, it might start a chain reaction that leads to an RKO.

Kane says that he is ready to go.

Daniel tells Randy he did not tell him to come to the ring.

Randy says that he came out here to help Daniel because Kane was going to choke slam him through the mat.

Daniel says that he did not tell Randy to save him.

Randy reminds them about the fact that they are partners.

Kane says that he is done with this, but Daniel tells him that he is walking away from things like he always has.

While the Bickersons bicker in the ring, The Shield appear on the TitanTron. Seth says that it is funny watching them out there. Dean calls it a car wreck. He says that after being embarrassed for six months by the Shield, they would be mad, but they are mad at themselves. Every ‘super team’ that is put together, they are unable to stop the Shield.

Dean asks them if they believe in the Shield. He says that there is no need to argue because tonight will be like every other night.

Roman says that they will lose on Sunday and that is why the Hounds of Justice rule everyone.

Sheamus is walking in the back and we go to commercial.

Match Number One: Sheamus versus Antonio Cesaro

Before the match starts, Damien Sandow’s music plays and he makes his way to the stage. Damien tells Sheamus that the man standing across from him speaks five different languages. We are back and Renee Young is with Chris Jericho. She congratulates him on his victory tonight and then she asks him about his match on Sunday against CM Punk. Chris says that this is one of those rare matches. A match that has taken on a life of its own because of the people watching the match as much as the people in the match.

The people of Chicago will be cheering for their home town hero, but Chris says that he has had a few big nights in Chicago, including his WWE debut. He does not care how the crowd is split because it will exceed the expectations of the first two matches. Punk/Jericho III is why you will not want to miss Payback.

Paul Heyman appears and he wishes Jericho the best of luck on Sunday. Jericho refuses. Paul says that Punk says that luck is for losers. He says that Jericho will need the luck because the odds are against Jericho. Punk is in his home town and Paul will be at ringside.

Match Number Four (this time I mean it): Curtis Axel (with Paul Heyman) versus Wade Barrett

Before the match starts, Wade tells Curtis that he wants to chat businessman to businessman with Paul Heyman. He asks Paul why would they have this match. He could injure Curtis tonight and then he could not wrestle for the title on Sunday. There is a small chance Curtis could injure him. Would it make business sense to leave everything until Sunday.

Before Paul can say anything, Miz interrupts. He throws out a series of reallys. They don’t want to fight tonight? What would they rather do? Go to Starbucks? Go on Dancing with the Stars as a couple? People want to see them fight.
