I apologize for having the report up so late today. I was extremely busy today, but still wanted to have it for you guys in detail to read.
Friday 8/7 ET
Mohegan Sun Casino
“You think you know me?” is heard around the arena and out comes the World Heavyweight Champion, the Rated R Superstar, Edge! As Edge, who still looks angered, makes his way down to the ring, JR and Tazz ponder upon the frustration that Edge must have stored up following the actions of GM Vickie Guerrero and Big Show from last Monday.
RAW’s Kofi Kingston then makes his way down to the ring. The announcers state that Kingston will finally be able gain retribution on Edge after Edge took him out at No Way Out just minutes prior to the Elimination Chamber.
Match 1: Edge v. Kofi Kingston
Match starts off with Edge cowering in the corner. Eventually, the two lock up and Kofi gets in a wristlock. Edge counters this, but Kofi is able to catch Edge with an elbow shot to the jaw and proceeds to clothesline him down. Seconds later, Kofi drills Edge with a high dropkick which forces Edge to leave the ring.

Back, Edge is in control of the match. He Irish Whips the Jamaican superstar into the corner which causes Kingston to collapse. Edge then applies a waist-lock. Kofi battles out of it, but is immediately brought to the mat with a flapjack. After a 2 count, the cunning Edge goes to the top rope, but Kofi trips him causing Edge to land on the turnbuckle stomach-first. Kingston then catches Edge with a jumping side kick and Edge falls out of the ring. Kingston continues the punishment as he splashes over the top rope onto the World Heavyweight Champion. Kofi tosses Edge back in the ring and knocks him down with a clothesline. With Edge down in the center of the ring, Kofi successfully connects with his signature running jumping high-angle double leg drop. Kofi goes for the pin, but the referee says it’s 2. Moments later, when Kofi attempts his leaping 10 punches combo in the corner, Edge reverses it in attempts to hit a powerbomb, but the Jamaican sensation turns it into a hurricanrana pin for a 2. As Kingston then slowly walks towards Edge, Edge grabs Kofi and hurls him to the outside. Here, Edge tries to ram Kofi into the steel steps, but Kingston winds up ramming Edge into it instead. After throwing Edge back in the ring, Kofi goes up top and he connects with a high flying cross body, but again Kofi gets a 2 count. Kofi then decides to Irish Whips Edge, but unfortunately he gets a big boot right in the face. Edge slowly makes it to his feet and gets in position for the Spear. As Edge nears Kofi, Kofi jumps and reverses Edge into a sunset flip. Following yet another 2 count, Kofi signals for the Trouble in Paradise, but Edge is able to cleverly block it into the sharpshooter. Left with no other choice, Kingston submits.
Post-Match: Edge, who looks distraught, walks back up the ramp holding the World Heavyweight Championship high above his head.

Match 2: John Morrison & Miz v. Carlito & Primo Colón
John Morrison and Carlito start things off. Immediately as the bell rings, Carlito gets 3 quick nears falls on the Shaman of Sexy. Morrison backs off and quickly charges at a distracted Carlito and corners him by striking at the Caribbean Bad Apple with numerous punches. Morrison then Irish Whips Carlito, but Carlito catches him with a knee lift followed by a power clothesline. Primo is then tagged in and the two brothers flip Morrison inside out, literally 360 degrees. As Primo lifts Morrison, the Tuesday Night Delight punches Primo in the abdomen and tags in Miz. Unfortunately, Miz is taken down with a side Russian leg sweep. Carlito is tagged back in and the brothers both connect with a springboard dropkick. Carlito continues to build momentum as he knocks Morrison off the apron, but as he turns around, Miz catches him with a full nelson facebuster. Over the course of the next 30 seconds, Miz and Morrison tag in and out so they could hit double team maneuvers, including a double gut-buster as well as guillotine choke on the ropes, on Carlito. Morrison then applies a sleeper hold. Not long after, Carlito hits Morrison with a reverse back elbow and literally rolls across the ring to tag in his younger brother. Primo hits a running back elbow strike and gets a 2 count. Primo then goes to the top rope and connects with a rather lazy headbutt. Miz then illegally enters the ring and charges at Primo, but Primo tosses the self-proclaimed Chick Magnet out of the ring. Primo proceeds to Irish Whip Morrison into the corner where he attempts a Judo Flip. As Primo flips Morrison over, Carlito tags himself in and Morrison lands on his feet! Great Athleticism! Morrison turns around only to be grounded with a clothesline. Carlito pins Morrison, but Miz breaks up the count. Primo comes charging at Miz, but Miz this time pulls down the top rope, sending Primo crashing to the outside floor. From behind however Carlito knocks Miz out of the ring. As Carlito turns around, Morrison kicks Carlito in the abdomen and connects with the Moonlight Drive for the win.
Post-Match: Miz and John Morrison celebrate with their titles and leave the ringside area with the Bella Twins.

Following this, MVP hits an uppercut on the Gold Standard and signals for his signature Ballin Elbow Drop. MVP connects with it, but gets a 2 count. Chavo then tries to cause a distraction, but MVP punches him in the face and brings him into the ring. Truth then comes in and tries to clothesline Chavo back out of the ring, but Chavo ducks, causing Truth to crash onto the outside floor. From behind, MVP shoves Chavo out of the ring and as MVP turns around, Benjamin hits PayDirt.

Matt Hardy is shown headed towards the ring.

SmackDown! 500 episode celebration will take place next week! It will be a tri-branded show.
Matt Hardy music hits and he comes out to his usual heel heat. Matt grabs a microphone.
He said the black cloud continues to hover over Jeff and will remain there until Jeff agrees to fight him. He said he came out to get some things off his chest. He said he tried to communicate these to Jeff but he wouldn’t listen. He said tonight he would make him listen. He said in the past year Jeff had been through a lot of highs and lows. He said last year at Mania, Jeff couldn’t compete because he was suspended. Matt said he couldn’t compete because he was injured. He whined about nobody caring about his injury, just caring about Jeff. He said Jeff just went on like nothing happened. He recorded music and painted pictures. But Matt had to suffer and fight back from his injury. He said he remembered one day in particular during Jeff’s suspension. He said he called Jeff and told him his house was on fire. He said he couldn’t watch, but sat there and imagined what it was like for Jeff to lose everything. He said Jeff asked about his dog. He said we all know now that Jack didn’t make it. He said sometimes accidents turn into tragedies. He pulled a burnt dog collar from his pocket. He said he found it in a pile of ashes after everything that Jeff had ever worked for went up in flames. He said he had held on to it since that day, and now wanted to give it to him as a sign of his love for his brother, Jeff Hardy.
The camera then shows Jeff Hardy making his way down the ramp in a hurry with no music. Once Jeff got in the ring, he yanked the microphone out of Matt’s hand.
Jeff said it was hard to believe that Matt was behind all the things that had happened. He said he didn’t know his own flesh and blood could do that to him. He asked Matt if he wants to hurt him, if he hated him. He said Matt hated him, but Matt hated himself more than he knew. He said Matt hated himself because he is sick and demented. He turned his back on Matt and said, “And so am I.” He whirled and attacked Matt.
Matt rolled out of the ring and held up his hand and said, “I’m sorry Jeff. Stop. I’m sorry. I love you.”
Jeff looked rather stunned following the attack and was looking down on himself as Matt crawled towards the back.
Once Matt reached the stage area, he stood up and smiled…

In the ring, we see Michelle McCool and Maryse.
Maria then made her way down to the ring followed by RAW’s Melina.
Match 4: Michelle McCool & Maryse v. Maria & Melina
Maria and Michelle McCool started things off. Maria hit a couple of moves before McCool started her new aggressive attack pattern. She whipped Maria into the corner, but Maria stopped herself. She ran back towards McCool and after three steps each, they butted heads. Double hot tag and Melina destroyed Maryse. However after quite some time, Maryse managed to lock in a headlock and reach for McCool, but McCool wouldn’t tag. Melina came up from behind and rolled up Maryse for the win.
Post-Match: The face divas celebrated and once they were out of the picture, Michelle McCool came in the ring and viciously attacked the Divas Champion, Maryse.
Backstage, Edge approaches Chavo. He tells the Mexican Warrior that on RAW, John Cena humiliated him and to make matters worse, he will now defend his World Title at WrestleMania 25 in a triple threat match. Edge asks Chavo what’s wrong with Vickie and wonders why she would cheat on him in the first place. Chavo responds by saying that he knows Vickie because he always talks to her. Edge asks Chavo if he “did it” with the GM. Chavo looks shocked and says no. Edge then grabs by the throat and pushes him to the wall and asks him if everyone is conspiring against him. Edge finally releases Chavo and states that no one will take the World Title away from him.

Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
Match 5: Finlay v. The Brian Kendrick
After the bell, Kendrick ran in and got body slammed. Kendrick then started running from Finlay who chased him outside the ring to Ezekiel. Zeke stepped in and grabbed the shillelagh and threw it away. As Finlay and Zeke stared each other down, Kendrick dove out for a splash. He rolled Finlay back in the ring. The pattern became Kendrick would hit a move and then lose control, only to have Zeke distract Finlay again so Kendrick could retake control. Finally, Kendrick tried for The Kendrick, but Finlay pushed off, speared him in the corner, and nailed the Celtic Cross for the win.
Post-Match: Finlay and Hornswoggle celebrate together.

Undertaker tried to punch out, but Kozlov took him down and locked in chin lock. Undertaker eventually fought out, but was hit with a clothesline and Kozlov locked in the chin lock again. The Dead Man once again fought to his feet and hit a belly to back suplex. Both men made it to their feet and traded blows. Undertaker got the best and whipped Kozlov into the corner. He followed and hit Snake Eyes. He tried for the boot, but Kozlov hit the battering ram for 2. After some time. The Phenom sat up and proceeded to hit Old School. Following this, the legendary Undertaker gave the Moscow Mauler a chokeslam before signaling for Tombstone. Undertaker connects and the match is over!

Smack of the Night: Undertaker vs. Vladimir Kozlov
Overall, tonight’s show was good. The World Heavyweight Title picture sure did get a lot interesting following RAW as did the heated rivalry between Matt and Jeff Hardy. I said it before and I’ll say it again…the two tag team champions of the WWE need to face off against each at WrestleMania in a winner take all match. Anyway, next week’s 500th episode celebration should be really interesting. Final Rating: 8/10.
