WWE Monday Night Raw 9/7/09
Announcers: Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole
Howard Finkel does the introduction of the guest host for The Price is Raw - Bob Barker. Bob thanks everyone for the greeting. He says that they are going to party tonight. Bob says that the people in Chicago are his kind of people. He says that they are the ones who have kept him working in television for more than half a century. Bob says that he would have had to get a real job if it weren’t for the fans. He will be playing a pricing game tonight. He says that he needs contestants and Finkel brings out his first four contestants and out first is Santino Marella. Next is Jillian Hall. The third contestant is Irwin R. Shyster. The final contestant is Chris Jericho.
Chris does not come out at first, but finally, he makes his way out and he does not look too happy. They will be bidding on the Best of Smackdown 10th Anniversary DVD. Santino asks to buy a vowel and Bob says that Santino has been body slammed too many times. Santino bids $1,465. Jillian says that she is a big fan and she has a song for Bob and Bob cuts her off. She bids $75. IRS asks if the bid includes taxes. IRS bids $50. Bob comments on Chris’ glare and then he comes up to Bob before bidding. Jericho tells Barker to watch his mouth. He says that nobody calls him Chris. Jericho wants Bob to show him some respect. He wants Bob to call him Mr. Jericho and pander to Jericho and show him respect because he is the best at what he does. Jericho says that he is one half . . . and Bob considers that his bid - "one" dollar.
Bob says that the price is $18.90 so Jericho wins and he now has a chance for a trip to Hawaii.
Bob says that if Jericho wins his match, he gets the trip to Hawaii.
Match Number One: Chris Jericho versus Montel Vontavious Porter
They lock up and Porter takes Jericho to the mat but Jericho with a waist lock. Porter and Jericho work on the mat and Jericho with a hammer lock but Porter with a side head lock. Jericho with a side head lock of his own and a shoulder tackle. Porter with a clothesline and forearm. Porter with forearms in the corner but Jericho with a head butt. Porter with a drop toe hold and a drop kick. Jericho sends Porter to the apron and Jericho with a forearm and then he tries for the springboard drop kick but Porter avoids it and Jericho goes to the floor as we go to commercial.
We are back and Jericho with a reverse chin lock but Porter with elbows and a punch. Porter tries for a running boot but Jericho moves and Porter goes to the floor. Jericho sends Porter into the ringside barrier before returning to the ring. Porter with punches but Jericho with a knee. Jericho with a hard Irish whip and an elbow drop to the back of the head. Jericho tries to use the ropes but the referee refuses to count because Porter’s shoulder was not down. Porter kicks Jericho in the head. Jericho with a kick. Porter blocks a slam attempt with an inside cradle. Jericho with a clothesline for a near fall. Porter with an elbow and then he gets a two count with a rollup. Porter with a few clotheslines and then he connects with a forearm in the corner. Porter with an elbow to a charging Jericho. Porter leaps over Jericho off the turnbuckles, but he hits a clothesline and gets a near fall. Jericho with a kick and bulldog and then he thinks about the Lionsault, but he raises his arm first. Jericho lands on his feet but Porter with a double thrust and a facebuster. It is time for the Ballin’ Elbow but Jericho stops him and Jericho puts Porter in the Walls of Jericho. Porter is going to tap but he is able to get a small package for a near fall. Porter with a big boot for a two count. Jericho avoids the Playmaker but Porter avoids the Codebreaker by holding the ropes. Porter with a jackknife cover for the three count. Winner: Montel Vontavous Porter
Michael Cole reminds us about last week’s vintage Raw and it is time for a recap of last week’s Raw with Dusty Rhodes giving his thun a match against Randy Orton, but it was only a way for Legacy to attack John Cena.

Kelly is with Bob Barker and she talks about the DJ&T Foundation where all of the proceeds from his book will go. DX come by and they say that they are huge fans. They talk about his role on Happy Gilmore. Shawn asks about getting Rhodes and DiBiase spayed and neutered. He gives them a chance to spin the big wheel to let off some steam. Kelly tells them that they get to spin twice to pick their opponents. Bob has two words for them...just spin. The first spin comes up and it is Chris Masters. The second spin comes up on Randy Orton.

Bob is ready to tell us what Chavo can win if he wins his match. Chavo can win a new Corvette.
Match Number Two: Chavo Guerrero versus Evan Bourne
They lock up and Bourne with a clean break but Chavo with a clothesline and kicks. Chavo sends Bourne into the turnbuckles and then he tells Bourne about his new car. Chavo with a Latino uppercut. Chavo puts Bourne on the turnbuckles and then he kicks Bourne in the abdomen and gets a near fall. Chavo with an abdominal stretch. Bourne with a lateral press for a near fall, but Chavo with kicks to the midsection. Bourne kicks Chavo in the leg. Chavo blocks the kick but Bourne with a rana. Bourne with a flying clothesline. Bourne with a spin kick for a near fall. Chavo with a kick to Bourne and then he goes up to the turnbuckles but Bourne with a kick to Chavo. Bourne tries for a rana but Chavo moves and Bourne crotches himself before landing on the mat. Chavo can only get a two count. Chavo with a kick and the Three Amigos but the third is a brainbuster. Chavo goes up top for a frog splash but Hornswoggle appears and he has a Super Soaker and he shoots Chavo with it. Chavo pushes Hornswoggle down but Bourne with a rollup for the three count. Winner: Evan Bourne
We see John Cena walking in the back as we go to commercial.
We have Chicago White Sox in the front row.
Cody Rhodes says that he is very much a member of Legacy. He might not agree with what Randy Orton did to his dad, but it is very clear to him that Dusty Rhodes did not make him a main eventer, Randy Orton did. Cody says that he could lie and says that Dusty was a neglectful and poor father, but Dusty was and is an excellent father. Cody says that when Shawn or Triple H submit on Sunday, it will prove that he made the right choice. Rhodes says that he will make John Cena tap out right now as a favor to Randy Orton. Cody says that he can hear Dusty saying that there is nothing that a father wouldn’t do for his THUN, and Cody says that there is nothing that this THUN wouldn’t do for his career.
Match Number Three: Cody Rhodes versus John Cena
Rhodes with a side head lock and a kick to Cena but Cena gets Rhodes on his shoulders and then he back body drops Rhodes. Rhodes goes to the floor and we go to commercial.
We are back and Cena with a fisherman’s suplex for a near fall. Rhodes backs into the corner. Cena with punches to Rhodes followed by a bulldog for a near fall. Rhodes retreats into the ropes for a breather. Cena with a back body drop and Rhodes goes to the floor. Rhodes sends Cena into the announce table. They return to the ring and Cody kicks Cena. Rhodes with kicks to the head but Cena with a belly-to-belly suplex. Rhodes with a clothesline for a near fall. Cena goes for the leg but Rhodes moves out of the way. Rhodes with punches to Cena but he charges into a boot after an Irish whip. Rhodes works on the leg and he tries for a figure four but Cena kicks him away. Cena with a drop toe hold but Rhodes kicks Cena away before the STF. Rhodes with a side Russian leg sweep and then he gets a near fall. Rhodes gets a near fall and then he puts Cena in a modified Camel Clutch. Cena escapes and punches Rhodes but Cena misses a charge into the corner. Rhodes with a Fujiwara Arm Bar and then he turns it into a key lock but Cena gets Rhodes on his shoulders. Rhodes with a forearm. Cena holds on to the ropes when Rhodes tries for a drop kick. Cena with the flying shoulder tackles followed by the leap frog neck breaker in a vintage series of moves. Cena goes up top for the leg drop to the back of the head but Rhodes sees it coming and moves out of the way. Rhodes tries for a figure four leg lock but Cena blocks it before Rhodes can apply it. Cena tries for the STF but he sees Orton coming into the ring. Cena with a drop toe hold and the referee calls for the bell. Winner: John Cena by disqualification
After the match, Rhodes tries to attack Cena, but Cena with Attitude Adjustment to Rhodes.

We are back and Batista will be back next week for a major announcement.
It is time for more Bob Barker. It is time for someone else to join the losers on Contestant Row. Out comes A.J. Pierzynski. The are bidding on the Wrestlemania 26 Gold Travel Package. A.J. bids $1,000. IRS bids $2,000. Jillian warbles $5,000 for her bid. Santino bids $1,200 in the form of a question. The prize is worth $1,247 so Santino is going to Wrestlemania.
Santino has a chance for another prize and it is a hot tub. Santino asks if the Bellas come with the hot tub.
Match Number Four: Santino Marella versus Big Show in a Body Slam Challenge
Santino tries to slam Show but he can’t get him up. Show slams Santino and wins, while Santino gets the tuba. Winner: Big Show
Bob says that they have an opponent for Big Show in a Body Slam Challenge and it is Mark Henry.
We go to commercial.
Match Number Five: Big Show versus Mark Henry in a Body Slam Challenge
Henry punches Show and Show goes to the floor. Show returns to the ring and Show with a kick and forearm and then Show tries for the slam but Henry blocks it. Henry tries to slam Show. Show with punches to the kidneys. Show tries to slam Henry again but Henry pushes him away. Show with an elbow to the back of the head. Show kicks Henry and tries to slam him but Henry with a forearm. Henry gets Show up for a second. Show collapses when he tries to get Henry up. Show slowly gets to his feet and Henry tries to slam Show. Show with an Irish whip but he charges into a boot. Henry with an Irish whip but he runs into an elbow from Show. Show tries to slam Henry one more time but he fails again. Henry gets Show up and he slams him. Winner: Mark Henry
After the match, Porter comes to the ring to celebrate with Mark.
Josh Mathews is in the interview area with Bob Barker. Josh talks about Bob’s career in television on game shows. He asks about the most unusual moment on The Price is Right. Bob talks about a woman who revealed her talents as she came to contestant’s row. Josh asks if Bob was ever hurt as a host. Bob says that the fans would go off their gourds when they won the big prizes. He mentions being hit in the solar plexus.

We are back and Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are in the ring and they talk about next week’s Raw host, Trish Stratus. We run through the card for Breaking Point.
Bob is in the back reading his book and Chavo says that Evan Bourne and Hornswoggle cheated him out of his match and his car. Bob says that you win some and you lose some. Chavo says that he is not leaving without his car. Chavo mentions that Bob was trained by Chuck Norris and he asks if that makes him a tough man. Bob with a few karate moves on Chavo and he reminds everyone to have their pets spayed and neutered.
Randy Orton and Chris Masters are talking in the back but we cannot hear their strategy session.

We are back and Shawn and Hunter are in the ring and Shawn does a few laps around Hunter before handing off the mic. Hunter wants to know if we are ready and if we can utter two words.
Match Number Six: Degeneration X versus Randy Orton and Chris Masters
Masters and Michaels start things off and they lock up. Masters with a knee and forearm followed by a punch. Masters with a side head lock and then he goes outside when Michaels was going to try for a super kick. We go to commercial.
We are back and Orton is punching Hunter in the corner. Orton with an Irish whip but you don’t Irish whip Hunter into the corner because he comes out with a clothesline. Michaels tags in and he connects with a double sledge to the arm. Orton punches Michaels but Michaels sends Orton into Hunter’s boot. Hunter tags back in and he tries for the Pedigree but Orton with a back body drop. Orton tries for the RKO but Hunter pushes him away. Hunter with a suplex for a near fall. Orton is sent into Michaels’ boots and Shawn tags back in. Michaels with an Irish whip but he charges into a boot. Masters tags in and he kicks Michaels. Michaels with chops to Masters and Michaels does the Michaels flip in the corner and Masters follows that with a back breaker. Masters with kicks to the back followed by an elbow drop. Orton tells Masters to slam Michaels and Masters complies. Orton tags in and he punches Michaels and follows it with a leaping knee drop. Masters tags back in and kicks Michaels. Masters with a hard Irish whip for a near fall. Masters with a knee to the back. Masters throws Michaels out of the ring and Masters talks to the referee and Orton attacks Michaels on the floor while Masters has the referee looking at the TitanTron. Masters gets a near fall when Michaels returns to the ring. Masters kicks Michaels in the corner and Orton attacks Michaels while Masters was with the referee. Orton tags back in and he stares at Hunter and then returns his viper-like focus on Michaels. Orton allows Michaels to get back to his feet and then Orton with a standing drop kick for a near fall. Orton with a side head lock. Michaels punches Orton but Orton punches back. Michaels with chops but Orton with a punch. Michaels with a flying forearm and both men are down until Shawn kips up. Masters tags in and so does Hunter. Hunter punches Masters and hits the vintage high knee followed by a clothesline in the corner. Hunter with a neck breaker for a near fall. Hunter with a face buster and a spinebuster. Hunter tags in Michaels and Shawn hits the elbow drop from the top turnbuckle. Shawn sets for Sweet Chin Music but Orton tries to stop him. Hunter attacks Orton and they go over the announce table. Masters moves out of the way and Masters applies the Master Lock and Shawn is fading fast. Hunter hits Masters from behind but Shawn hits Sweet Chin Music. Hunter with a clothesline to Orton and then Shawn puts Masters in the figure four and Masters taps while Hunter has Orton in a Sharpshooter. Winners: Degeneration X
After the match, Cody and Ted pull Randy out of the ring and Shawn and Hunter follow after them. They fight to the back. Meanwhile, Randy Orton waits around the ramp.
Hunter, Shawn, Ted, and Cody fight into the hallway. They fight onto a table and then the battle goes outside. Cody has a chair while Ted gets the car. Shawn avoids the chair. Ted carjacks someone as he leaves with Cody.
Meanwhile, back in the ring, Randy Orton talks about the look of disappointment on the faces of DX. He says that they better get used to it because on Sunday, Cody and Ted are going to make DX submit. Randy says that he will retain the WWE Title in the main event. He says that is what he lives for. It is all that he considers important in his life.
John Cena comes out and he comes to the ring and he attacks Orton. Orton goes to the floor and Cena follows after him. Cena sends Orton onto the announce table. Orton returns to the ring and he gets Cena as he re-enters the ring and hits a DDT. Orton gets a chair and he sets it up in the center of the ring. Orton picks up Cena’s limp body and he hits an RKO onto the chair.
