Report by Jason Powell and ProWrestling.net

WWE Raw on the USA Network 5/11/09
Live from Columbus, Oh.

The opening montage played.

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler introduced themselves on commentary.

Lillian Garcia introduced Randy Orton, who walked onto the stage with Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. Orton said the people are cowards who pay money to watch people like him. He set up a clip from last week's show of Legacy taking out Shane McMahon with the ring steps.

After the video, the trio were in the ring. Orton said Vickie Guerrero had ruled that he and Batista couldn't touch before Judgment Day. Orton said they could still talk. He started to call out Batista, whose music quickly interrupted Randy. Batista came to the ring with a microphone and received a huge pop from the Columbus crowd.

Orton told Batista that he won't win the WWE Championship on Sunday "or ever." Randy offered his former Evolution mate a chance to join Legacy. The crowd groaned. DiBiase took the mic and said he knows that Batista is still upset over Randy kicking him in the head. "I can relate," DiBiase said. Ted said it was the best thing that ever happened to him because he was going nowhere and now he's a member of the most elite group in WWE.

Orton took the mic and brought up his past with Batista in Evolution. He said the problem with Evolution was Hunter. He said that if Batista agreed to join him, they would be bigger than the Four Horsemen, DX, and even Evolution. Orton brought up Arn Anderson and referred to him as a surefire future WWE Hall of Famer. He said Arn was Ric Flair's enforcer. Randy said he wants Batista to be his enforcer.

Batista took the mic and said that everything Orton said made sense and it's a great opportunity. He said the only problem is that he loathes Orton. "I have never been and I will never be your backup," Batista said. "Don't you get it? I'm not here to help you. I am here to hurt you. And there is nothing, I mean nothing, to stop me."

Orton got pissed and said Batista just made the biggest mistake of his life. Orton said Batista is lucky there is a no contact rule in place. He said if there wasn't he would drop Batista on the spot. Batista laughed. He said he's tired of listening to Randy and Vickie Guerrero. "I don't know about you and I don't know about all of you (fans), but I'm tired as hell of waiting," Batista said.

Batista said there's not a chance in hell that Vickie would call off the main event of Judgment Day. Therefore, he said there's nothing stopping him from destroying Orton on Raw. Batista dropped the microphone and squared off to battle Orton.

"Excuse me!" Vickie screeched. She walked onto the stage with Chavo Guerrero. She said she was waving the no contact rule. "I don't care if you guys tear each other up," she said. "I don't even care what condition either of you are in, but that title match will take place this Sunday.

Vickie announced Batista vs. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in a handicap match. She said that if Legacy wins, there will be a three-on-one handicap match. She said that if Batista wins the match, Judgment Day will come early and there will be a match between Orton and Batista on Raw. Vickie told Orton to leave the ring because the handicap match was coming up next.

1. Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes beat Batista by DQ in a handicap match in 4:00. The match was joined in progress after the break. Batista was roughing up DiBiase, who hit one move and tagged Cody into the match. Late in the match, Cody headed to ringside and pulled a chair out from underneath the ring. He slid it in the ring and Batista picked it up. Batista swung the chair at Cody and missed. The referee disqualified him anyway.

After the break, Maryse was standing in the ring speaking in French. She wrapped it up by saying, "If I wasn't Maryse, I would want to be".

2. Mickie James and Kelly Kelly beat Jillian Hall and Maryse in 3:40. Cole revealed that Maryse likes Guns-n-Roses. Mickie hit the DDT and scored the pin. The announcers made a big fuss over the fact that Mickie has pinned Maryse two weeks in a row.

Backstage, Josh Matthews started to interview Randy Orton when Ted DiBiase entered the picture. Ted told Randy that Cody Rhodes was gone. Orton pulled him aside and pushed the camera out of the way. He questioned where Batista was and then they headed out in search of Cody and/or Batista.

The announcers introduced footage of the Big Show and John Cena's big spotlight stunt from the Backlash pay-per-view.

Backstage, Chavo Guerrero told Vickie Guerrero that John Cena should be forced to compete in an exhibition match. Vickie liked the idea and said Cena vs. The Miz would face off in an exhibition match. Chavo also wished Vickie a happy Mother's Day before leaving the room.

The announcers stood in the ring and ran through the Judgment Day pay-per-view lineup.

Backstage, Orton found Cody. They lost Ted. They heard someone call out for a doctor and then found Ted lying on the floor with the Bella Twins and a trainer standing over him.

A video teased that Mr. Kennedy is returning to Raw "soon".

3. The Brian Kendrick pinned Carlito in 1:45. Primo walked onto the stage with Primo, but Carlito sent him backstage. The announcers said Kendrick requested a rematch after losing to Carlito last week. Kendrick threw Carlito into the corner and his shoulder hit the ring post. Kendrick rolled up Carlito for the win.

After the match, Kendrick took the mic at ringside and said that was just step one. He said step two is finding himself "the partner." He said he would eventually be half of the tag team champions.

Big Show came out and sat down on the announcers' desk to watch the exhibition match. Lillian Garcia stated that both wrestlers would continue to wrestle until Vickie stopped it.

John Cena made his entrance. The Miz came out with a mic and said that what Big Show has done to him lately is nothing compared to what he intends to do to him. Miz mocked Cena for being injured. Miz said that Cena should be happy it's not "12 Rounds" because people will actually see their match. He said he's been mocking Cena's movie, but his rap album sucked too.

4. John Cena fought The Miz in an exhibition match in 2:50. Cena took Miz down to the mat a couple times, but Miz came back and controlled the offense. Cena made a comeback and then Vickie appeared on the big screen and stopped the match. She said she had seen enough and that Cena had no chance against Big Show. Miz attacked Cena from behind and then bragged about being 3-0 against Cena. After Miz left the ring, Big Show smiled at the fallen Cena.

Backstage, Orton told Cody to find Batista and take him out.

Backstage, Santina interrupted Vickie and Chavo. Vickie asked if it was true that Santina referred to her as a swine last week. Santina played dumb and said she wasn't on the show last week. Vickie called in Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes and asked Rosa to give Santina a kiss to prove that it was Santino. She obliged. Santina grabbed her and kissed her passionately. Chavo said he knew it was really Santio. Santina said she's always preferred women. She made pig noises directed toward Vickie, slapped Rosa on the ass, and left the room.

In another part of the backstage area, Cody Rhodes was looking for Batista with a lead pipe. He opened a door and Hornswoggle ran out. Batista attacked Cody from behind, threw him inside the door, followed him, and slammed the door behind him.

A "Don't Try This At Home" video aired with various wrestlers discussed their injuries. Rey Mysterio said he's had five knee surgeries.

The announcers noted that it could be Orton vs. Batista in a singles match later in the show given the way Batista has taken out Rhodes and DiBiase.

5. Santina beat Beth Phoenix (w/Rosa Mendes) in 2:40. There was a "Santina" chant to start the match. Early in the match, Beth pressed Santina over her head at ringside. She applied an abdominal stretch and Santina let out a high pitched scream. In the end, Santina caught Beth in a small package and scored the pin.

Cole hyped the handicap match for later in the show.

Backstage, Josh Matthews interviewed John Cena, who said he has to "adapt and overcome." He said he's not going to Judgment Day to compete, he's going to win. Cena walked away and then Matthews started to talk. Cena reentered the scene and reiterated that he's going to win.

MVP hosted the VIP Lounge. He hyped that it was the first time the show has taken place on Raw. MVP recalled William Regal attacking him last week. MVP said that while he's a WWE superstar, he's still "hood to my heart." He called out Regal, who walked onto the stage with a big smirk on his face.

Regal came out with a mic and spoke as he walked to the ring and joined MVP. He recalled losing his general manager job. He said he waited patiently and took offense to the new draftees jumping ahead of him in the pecking order. MVP said he and all the people are balling, whereas Regal is just boring. Regal said MVP represents the United States perfectly with his arrogance, misguidance, and because he's despised by everyone else in the world.

Regal started to take off his robe, but Matt Hardy's entrance music interrupted him. Matt came out with a microphone and complained that he's been forced to wrestle even though his hand is broken in three places. He said they should take his loss to Kofi Kingston off the record books. Hardy said Regal should wait his turn because no one has defeated MVP more than he has. He said he should get the first shot at the U.S. Title once his hand heals.

Kofi Kingston came out and attacked Matt from behind. They fought to ringside with Kofi dominating. Chavo Guerrero came out and said Vickie ordered the ring to be cleared immediately. He said MVP and Kofi would face Regal and Hardy immediately.

6. MVP and Kofi Kingston beat Matt Hardy and William Regal in 6:15. The match was joined in progress. Hardy was wearing street clothes. Early in the match, Hardy bodyslammed Kofi and sold the hand injury both times. A "Hardy sucks" chant broke out after he tagged out of the match.

Lawler said he broke his hand once and didn't compete. Cole was obviously ignoring him because he asked if Lawler wrestled under protest. Hardy sold the hand injury throughout the match and then bailed on his partner late while holding his hand in pain. MVP ended up hitting his finisher on Regal and pinning him.

A shot aired of Randy Orton walking backstage.

The Peep Show returns tomorrow night on ECW with Christian interviewing Jack Swagger.

Highlights aired from last week of Legacy taking out Shane McMahon.

Randy Orton came out alone because his sidekicks were roughed up by Batista earlier in the show. Orton took the mic and said Batista made his point. He said they shouldn't fight six days before they meet at Judgment Day. He said Batista couldn't win the title anyway, so he was going to leave the ring. Before Orton could finish his thought, Batista's music interrupted him.

7. Randy Orton beat Batista by DQ in 1:00. Orton started alone because Rhodes and DiBiase were beaten up earlier in the show. Orton kicked Batista in the gut and went for the RKO to start the match, but Batista shoved him away and took control of the offense. Batista slammed Randy to the mat with a couple of spinebusters.

Batista headed to ringside and grabbed a chair. He entered the ring and attacked Orton with it for the DQ. Batista slammed the chair onto Orton's ankle a couple of times and then headed to ringside to grab the ring steps.

Back inside the ring, Batista slammed the chair over Orton's ankle and then chased away the referee. Orton picked up the ring steps. Cody Rhodes ran out. Batista grabbed Cody and gave him the Batista Bomb. Ted DiBiase attacked Batista from behind. Orton returned to the ring, but Batista fought back.

Batista went for his finisher on Randy, but DiBiase broke it up. Batista speared DiBiase and then threw the ring steps at Orton, who was at ringside selling an ankle injury. Cole unenthusiastically asked if the clock could be ticking on Orton's title reign. Batista posed for the crowd and taunted Orton to close the show.
