WWE House Show Results - Glasgow, Scotland 5/14/14
May 17, 2014 - 11:30:25 PM

Thanks to LOP reader Naomi Anderson for the following WWE house show results from Glasgow on 5/14:

WWE's debut at our new arena; The Hydro. Being the Wrestlemania Revenge tour there were a lot of Mania promo's before the show. Even a video for Wrestlemania XXX on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Justin Roberts introduces us to the show and informs us that due to Daniel Bryan's injury and impending neck surgery he will not be in attendance. Of course, nobody liked this. Justin tells us that ticket refunds are available if we so wish it.

Randy Orton's music hits and he comes down. He cuts a promo claiming he is the rightful WWE World Heavyweight Champion. That he was supposed to invoke his rematch clause tonight but Bryan "ran away" from him and into Kane - who ultimately caused his injury. Orton taunted that Bryan was back in the States on a hospital bed waiting for surgery. He then went on to say that he was here tonight representing Evolution and called out "the leader" of The Shield, Roman Reigns.

Roman comes out through the crowd and into the ring. He and Orton go at it. After fleeing the ring, Orton yelled at a kid who ran up to the barrier. Ryback and Curtis Axel (Rybaxel) run down the ramp and beat down on Roman. Then Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose come out to even the odds. They all brawl until Brad Maddox comes out and announces that Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will face Rybaxel in a Tag Match next. Orton and Reigns are banned from ringside because they will participate in a Steel Cage Match in the Main Event.

1) Tag Team Match: Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs Rybaxel

Fair contest from both sides for the most part. Ryback got a lot of "Goldberg" chants (can't believe that's still going on) which garnered a lot of distaste himself and Curtis Axel. They both kept telling us to shut up and that Ryback isn't Goldberg. Ryback dominated Seth Rollins for the second half of the match. Tags were made to both sides. Curtis and Dean went at it for a bit until Seth and Ryback were tagged back in. They all brawled but Seth came back and finished the match pinning Ryback after executing 'Peace of Mind'.

Winner: The Shield

Justin then announced the next contest would be a Fatal Four Way for the Intercontinental Championship.

Jack Swagger enters accompanied by Zeb Coulter. Zeb cuts a promo; first of all mistaking us for Ireland. Paul Heyman made the same joke a few years ago. Jack Swagger cut in to correct Zeb that they were in Scotland. Zeb went on to mock our Football (your Soccer) calling American Football a real sport. Jack and Zeb presented an American Football, to wind us up, while making fun of our sports and teams in general.

RVD's music hit to end the promo. He came out and then Big E. The champion, Bad News Barrett, came out to a lot of heat. He cut a promo, while walking down the ramp, about our upcoming Independence Referendum vote. Asking "what does Scotland really bring to the table" in the UK. That he was looking forward to England being it's own country again.

2) Fatal Four Way for the Intercontinental Championship: Jack Swagger vs Rob Van Dam vs Big E vs Bad News Barrett (c)

Pro RVD and Big E crowd. Barrett stood outside the ring for the beginning of the match and let the others go at it. After Big E was tossed out, Barrett re-entered and formed an alliance with Swagger against RVD. Big E and RVD came back but Barrett stole the win after their finishers.

Winner: Bad News Barrett (still Intercontinental Champion)

Note: POSSIBLE INJURY - Rob Van Dam. He was pointing out to referee Charles Robinson that his left shoulder was bothering him. He also had a small cut on the lower left of his back. A little blood and a possible tweaked shoulder.

3) Fan choice match; Match or Dance-off: Fandango w/ Layla vs Mark Henry

Of course, a Dance-off initially. Fandango danced (ridiculously) but Mark Henry surprised us with a tribute to Michael Jackson. Wearing a silver glove and even pulling off a split! Fandango blindsided him.

4) Singles Match: Sin Cara vs Rusev w/ Lana

Squash match. Pure and simple.

Winner: Rusev

5) Last Man Standing Match: Big Show vs Kane

Battle of The Giants. Slow paced. Kane brought out a Singapore Cane and went to work on Show. Show came back, got the cane and snapped it over his knee. Kane got a hold of a chair, hit Show, then propped it up in between the ropes. A bit of back and forward. A "We want Tables!" chant starts. Kane obliges and brings out a table. Breaking it in the process. They ended up using it in the corner. Show went through it. Kane brought out another table and set it up below the opposite turnbuckle. Kane and Show fought on the ropes until Show executed the knockout punch. Kane flew off the second rope and through the table. He failed to answer the ten count.

Winner: Big Show

Show leaves. Kane sits up and goes to attack the referees. Brad Maddox runs down to make the save but he gets Chokeslammed instead.

6) Singles Match for the NXT Championship: Bo Dallas vs Adrian Neville (c)

Bo cuts a short promo. Preaching his "Bo-lieve" gospel and saying that dreams come true. Nobody here buys it. Nobody was really into the match.

Bo kept yelling "Bo-lieve". Neville was impressive. Ending the match with his corkscrew shooting star press - Red Arrow.

Winner: Adrian Neville (and still NXT Champion)

7) 6 Diva's Tag Team Match: Tamina Snuka, Rosa Mendes, and Layla vs Paige and The Funkadactyls

Winners: Paige and The Funkadactyls

Note: POSSIBLE INJURY - Rosa Mendes. During the intitial brawl at the start of the match, Rosa's nose was busted open. After I pointed it out, WWE's Security handed her a towel. Quite a bit of blood.

8) Steel Cage Match: Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns

Back and forward throughout the match.

As you know, Roman Reigns was busted open below his right eyebrow. He was very bloody. I think Randy was also cut a little. He also had blood running down his face.

For the finale, Rybaxel ran down to interfere and aid Orton. Then the rest of Shield came out. Seth Rollins dove off the top of the cage onto Rybaxel. Orton RKO'd Seth, then Roman speared Orton for the win.

Winner: Roman Reigns

Note: INJURIES - Roman Reigns and Randy Orton. A gashed left eyebrow for Roman Reigns. Randy Orton may also have cut his forehead. He was also pointing out to Charles Robinson and EMT's about his shoulders. I'm not sure how serious it was though.

The show ended with Shield interacting with fans while Orton watched from the top of the ramp.
