Report sent in by Chris B.

I just got back from the RAW House Show in Hartford, CT. It was a really good show top to bottom. The crowd was hot all night, the merch booths were packed and the arena was really full. The new stage setup takes up a lot of room but its so cool to have. The video wall was especially nice. I sat 5th row ringside along the rail so we got a great view of all the action.

Here are the results:

Howard Finkel did all of the ring introductions.

Miz came out to start the show and said he was going to ring in the New Year as WWE Champion tonight by beating CM Punk inside a steel cage. However, he wanted to address what happened with R-Truth on Monday. Before Miz could really say anything, R-Truth's theme played (he is back to "Whats Up") and came from the crowd to attack Miz. Miz runs away and out comes John Laurinaitis with David Otunga (in ring gear). He tells Truth that since he can attack Miz. he can also wrestle in his street gear against Otunga. Johnny Ae distracts Truth before the match starts to wish him a Happy New Year and this lets Otunga attack him.

Match #1 - R-Truth v. David Otunga. Quick offense by Otunga to start but doesnt last long. Truth hits the Lie Detector really quick to put Otunga away.
Winner - R-Truth

Match #2 for the Divas Championship - Beth Phoenix (c) v. Eve Torres
(Bellas are involved, one is the referee and the other is the time keeper.)
Usual Divas match. Beth was really working the crowd and she got a lot of heat. As Eve was about to win, the Bella ref "injured" her shoulder before counting to 3 and then this led to Beth hitting the Glam Slam for the win.
Winner - Beth Phoenix

After the match, the Bellas attack Eve which then brings out Kelly Kelly to make the save.

Fink then announces the Guest Host of the show, Mick Foley (who comes out to a huge pop). Foley says he has quite a few memories in Hartford. In the late 80s, in his 3rd match ever, he got his teeth knocked in by the Killer Bees. Then in 2000, he had the famous Hell in a Cell with Triple H that "retired" him...Jack Swagger interrupts and says that Foley is washed up, fat, etc. Swagger is upset he doesnt have a match so Foley fixes that - against Jerry "The King" Lawler!

Match #3 - Jack Swagger v. Jerry Lawler
Good match by both. Ends with Swagger knocking out Foley, runs into pole, Lawler rolls him up for the win.
Winner - Jerry "The King" Lawler

After the match, Foley gives Swagger Mr. Socko. Funny moment as Swagger leaves, he says the sock was dirty and pretends to almost throw up on a handful of kids at ringside. The looks on their faces were priceless.

Match #4 - JTG, Curt Hawkins, and Tyler Reks v. A-Ry, Mason Ryan, and Leo Kruger
Really good match here with the crowd LOVING Mason Ryan. This dude was way over in CT. Heels dominate most of the match, Ryan makes the hot tag and gets the win.
Winners - A-Ry, Mason Ryan, and Leo Kruger

Didnt see much of Kruger but he was decent. His look is pretty bland to me.

Match #5 - Michael McGullicuty v. Santino Marella
Pretty much what you's expect.
Winner - Santino Marella

As Santino was leaving ringside, he is blindsided by Dolph Ziggler, which then brings out Vickie Guerrero. Could barely hear her promo because of the boos in the arena. But it basically said Ziggler will be the next US Champ...enter Zack Ryder.

Match #6 for the US Championship - Zack Ryder (c) v. Dolph Ziggler
Really fun match between the two. Ziggler dominated most of the match, Vickie interfered and then was ejected. Ziggler hits the Zig Zag and pins Ryder but Ryder's foot was on the ropes. (Fink did announce Ziggler as the NEWWWWW champion which was cool to hear) but the ref restarted the match and Ryder pins Ziggler with the Ruff Ryder,
Winner - Zack Ryder

There was one sole cameraman all night getting reaction shots of the wrestlers as they were leaving. A guy near us had a huge Ryder sign and Zack camer over and posed with it with the cameraman filming.

Match #7 - John Cena v. Kane
Same match as MSG show. Cena was mostly over with the crowd but there were quite a few boos. (I myself bought the Cena Sucks shirt). Both guys worked well and it was a fun little match. Kane grabs a chair at the end causing the DQ. Kane chokeslams Cena.
Winner - John Cena (by DQ)

Cena is announced the winner which brings back Kane who then gets an Attitude Adjustment for his troubles.

At this point they take a short break to set up the cage.

Match #8 for the WWE Championship - CM Punk (c) v. The Miz
MATCH OF THE NIGHT! The crowd was Pro-Punk and these guys worked an awesome match. It had false finishes, near falls, oohs and ahhs...it was awesome.
Punk wins with the GTS.
Winner - CM Punk

Punk then celebrates by going around ringside and posing with fans. It was really cool to see and he looked like he was having a lot of fun. Crowd cheered him until he walked out of sight.

Fink announces a SmackDown taping at Mohegan Sun on March 6. Tix go on sale next week.

Overall, one of the best house shows I have ever been to. COME TO HARTFORD MORE OFTEN!
