We are shown highlights from Christian vs. William Regal at Breaking Point where we saw Christian retain the belt via the Killswitch before the ECW intro hits and fire works explode on the entrance ramp.
ECW GM Tiffany walks to the ring(with Torrie Wilson’s old music “girl like that)” and grabs a mic. She puts over Christian vs. William Regal before she is cut off by the latter of the fore mentioned William Regal. Regal says he’s sorry for walking out here then calls Tiffany Beautiful. He ask her why he thought she banned Kozlov & Jackson to which she said she wanted to make the match fair. Regal asks for a new title shots which Tiffany shots down before announcing a battle royal for later tonight with the winner becoming the new number one contender. Regal, Kozlov and Jackson go to walk off before Tiffany stops Regal and tells him he’s not getting a title shot but he does have a match against…. “Stand Back, There’s a Hurricane coming though!, to which Hurricane walks out as we head to a brake

William Regal vs. The Hurricane
We are back with Hurricane in control of Regal before dumping him on the outside and jumping on it and rolling back in the ring. Hurricane stomps on Regal’s chest and this seems to annoy Regal who starts to fight back but gets cut off by a flying cross body and a big suplex. Hurricane hit’s a neck breaker before climbing up to the top rope and hitting a MASSIVE cross body for a 2 count. They brawl to the outside and then back inside but before Hurricane gets fully back in the ring, Regal punts Hurricane in the head and pins this super Hero
Winner: William Regal
As Regal walks up the ramp, Paul Burchill comes in and Jackhammers Hurricane before we cut to the back to see Goldust who is teaching Yoshi Tastu English before Zack Ryder walks in and gets called a loser by Yoshi. Apparently, Yoshi Tastu vs. Zack Ryder is up next.

We are back as we are told that Batista will be on Smackdown before we are shown what just happened in the ring with Burchill & Hurricane as we jump to the back where Burchill explains that what he did was for his sister and that he will win the battle royal.
The Bella twins are the special ring announcers for this match on ECW
Yoshi Tastu vs. Zack Ryder
Zack starts in control but Yoshi rolls though, picks the arm and despite Ryder attempting to fight out of it, Yoshi keeps in control with a series of moves that leads to a 2 count with a rolling pin. Zack finally gets in control when he kicks Yoshi of the ropes and starts to beat down Yoshi in the corner before covering for a 2 count.
Ryder locks in a chin lock as the crowd gets behind Yoshi only for Ryder to drop Tastu on his neck and lock in a crossface and then a chin lock. The Canadian crowd starts to get behind Yoshi as he fights back with a discus punch and a few kicks and knees to Ryder. Yoshi hit’s a massive Hurricanina but only gets a 2 count on Ryder who attempts to fight back but is cut off by a massive kick to the temple which gets the 3 count!
Winner Yoshi Tastu
The main event to become the new ECW number one contender is plugged before we head to a break

We are back as the announce team run down Hell in a Cell before Tony Chimmel brings out the wrestlers for the match
Shelton Benjamin vs. Kozlov vs. Jackson vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Goldust vs. Tyler Rerks vs. Sheamus vs. Yoshi Tastu vs. Paul Burchill vs. Zack Ryder
Umm… how to recap this? Everyone pairs up and beats each other as we see Burchill attempting to chuck Shelton out but failing so he goes back to thrusting his shoulder into Shelton’s stomach. Out of no where, Shelton chucks Paul Burchill out of the ring
Kozlov is beating down on Goldust as his partner is crime attacks Tommy Dreamer

Kozlov, Zack Ryder, Dreamer and Goldust are left with Kozlov head butting Goldust in the stomach before Ryder attempts to chuck Dust out but Goldust blocks only to eliminates himself as Ryder low bridges him sending him to the outside. After seeing this, Tommy Dreamer low bridges an on coming Kozlov sending him to the outside and we after left with Dreamer & Ryder but only for a second as Zack runs and pushes Tommy over the top rope to win the match!
Winner: Zack Ryder
The show goes off the air with Ryder standing in the ring.
After seeing what happened on Raw, I was expecting ECW to be pretty uneventful as we just came off a PPV but we got a pretty decent show.
I’m liked the opening as it gave Tiffany a bit of an on screen push by refusing to roll over and sticking to her guns by not allowing Regal in the battle royal. His match with Hurricane was pretty cool as neither men looked weak and it showed that Regal is smart enough to win any match he is in. With the post match attack, it looks like Hurricane/Burchill will carry on and like I said last week I’m all for it.
Yoshi is just stupidly over and he keeps improving in the ring where as his opponent Mister Woo Woo is over because of his theme song being awesome but hey,give him time i think he will improve.
I liked the battle royal as it was pretty long considering the show only runs 1 hour and to have it take up 20 minutes was a gamble that paid off. Do I see Zack Ryder winning the belt with this title shot he earn? No but maybe in the future he will.
Overall, a decent show from the Extreme brand which I give a B rating
