Todd Grisham and Matt Striker introduced themselves before the opening match.
1. D.J. Gabriel and Alicia Fox defeated Paul Burchill and Katie Lea in a mixed tag match in 3:00. Striker explained that the men face the men, and the women face the women in mixed tag matches. The women opened the match, but the men entered less than a minute in. Late in the match, Alicia crawled onto Katie's back and they tumbled to the floor. Gabriel hit a spinning elbow off the second rope on Paul and pinned him moments later.
The Steve Austin Hall of Fame video from Raw aired.
Grisham and Striker noted that Austin will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania 25.
The announcers hyped Matt Hardy vs. Jack Swagger for later in the show.

Tommy Dreamer walked to the ring dressed in a suit. He said he's debated long and hard about what he's going to do. He talked about his 19-year career and said the letters ECW mean the world to him. "My friends, my wife, my daughters, and the man I am today are all because of ECW," he said. "And if I had to do my extreme journey all over again, man, I wouldn't change a thing." The live crowd broke out in an ECW chant.
Dreamer said there comes a point in each person's life when they have to examine their lives. "I look at myself in the mirror and I don't think I'm the same man I used to be," he said. Dreamer said the competition in ECW is young, stronger, and faster. "And I don't think I have what it takes to compete in ECW anymore," he said.
Dreamer said his WWE contract expires June 6. He said he needs to prove to himself and the fans that he can still compete. He said if he doesn't capture the ECW Title before then, he's leaving ECW. "Trust me, this is the hardest decision I've ever had to make, but I need to be able to look at myself in the mirror with pride and respect and this is the only way I can do that." Dreamer vowed he would be ECW Champion again and thanked the fans.
A Jack Swagger video aired.
The announcers hyped Hardy vs. Swagger.

Backstage, Ricky Ortiz and Tiffany were ready to lock lips when Hornswoggle ran in and made a bunch of noise to kill the mood.
2. Boogeyman squashed Sammy Savard in 0:55. Boogey won another squash with a pumphandle slam. Savard received the worm treatment after the match.
A reacap from Smackdown aired of the Jeff Hardy hit-and-run angle.
Grisham and Striker interviewed Matt and asked him how his brother's accident affected him. Matt said it hasn't affected him and he shifted the focus to Swagger. He put over Swagger and said he's deserving of a title shot.

A video previewed Vince McMahon's return to Raw and focussed on his penchant for firing people.
Jack Swagger and Matt Hardy made their ring entrances, followed by in-ring introductions for the championship match.
3. Jack Swagger defeated Matt Hardy to win the ECW Title in 18:45. Hardy hit an early suplex and the show cut to break less than a minute in.

Another commercial aired for Austin entering the WWE Hall of Fame.
After the break, Striker threw out a gem about celebrities in attendance for the championship match. He mentioned Florida running back Percy Harvin and added, "Marisa Tomei is interesting in how it really goes down, and sexy senior citizen Cloris Leachman is here." In the ring, Swagger worked over Hardy's left shoulder by pulling it into the ring post. Swagger continued his assault while the live crowd chanted for Hardy.

Later, Hardy caught Swagger on the ropes and pulled him off for a powerbomb. Swagger pulled off the top turnbuckle while trying to hold on to the ropes to block the powerbomb. Swagger came back quickly and set up for his finisher, but Matt blocked it and hit a Russian leg sweep.
Hardy hit the Side Effect for a nearfall. Striker questioned whether the match would be over if his arm was 100 percent. Swagger showed agility by jumping over Hardy onto the second rope and jumping off and hitting a splash on Hardy. A short time later, Swagger caught Hardy climbing the top rope and hoisted him onto his shoulders. Hardy punched Swagger, who dropped his headfirst onto the exposed turnbuckle. Swagger hit his gutwrench powerbomb finisher and scored the pin to win the title.
