ECW on The Sci-Fi Channel 5/26/09
Live from Los Angeles, California

The opening montage kicked off the show.

Josh Matthews and Matt Striker introduced the show and hyped the six-man tag main event.

Christian came out for a promo and called Swagger a pest that won't go away. He called out Swagger, who came out dressed in his ring gear. Swagger took offense to Christian saying that his fame and time are running out. Swagger said he's a two-time All American and his time is just beginning. Swagger said Christian's time as ECW Champion is running out.

Swagger entered the ring and stood face-to-face with Christian. He said Christian has cheated twice now in their matches. He said he spoke to Tiffany, who granted him another title match at Extreme Rules. Christian asked whether the stipulation is an "I've already beat this dork twice match."

Tiffany's music played and she joined the wrestlers in the ring. Tiffany said Swagger needs to get his facts straight. She said his actions on WWE Superstars would not be a singles match. Rather, it will be a Triple Threat match. She introduced Tommy Dreamer as their opponent.

Swagger said Dreamer's contract expires the day before Extreme Rules and it's not fair that he's going to wrestle since he said he would retire. Dreamer entered the ring. Tiffany explained that Dreamer signed a one-day contract and will walk away if he doesn't win the title. She said the match at Extreme Rules will be fought under extreme rules. Dreamer cleared both Swagger and Christian from the ring. The crowd booed when he dumped Christian over the top rope.

An ad aired for Vladimir Kozlov.

Ring introductions for Kozlov's handicap match took place.

1. Vladimir Kozlov squashed Russ Taylor and Joey Munos in a handicap match in 1:40.

Backstage, Christian bickered with Dreamer about what happened earlier. Dreamer said he tossed Christian out of the ring because Christian and Swagger ignored him after he was announced for the Triple Threat match. Christian pointed out that he helped Dreamer when he didn't have to. He said he's ECW Champion. "Not for long," Dreamer said. They went at it briefly and rolled around the floor of the locker room until Finlay stepped in.

2. Evan Bourne beat Mark Henry by countout in 6:30. Striker pointed out that Henry had more than a 200 lbs. weight advantage over Bourne. Henry dominated the early offense. Henry placed Bourne's back over his knee and pushed down. Bourne eventually broke the hold with a couple of kicks to the head. Henry charged at Bourne in the corner and missed. Bourne came back with a dropkick to Henry's knee.

Bourne went up top for his finisher, but Henry rolled out of the ring. Bourne moonsaulted onto him at ringside, but Henry caught him. Bourne went up top again a short time later and hit the knee dive onto Henry. Bourne springoarded off Henry's back to make it back inside the ring, while Henry was counted out.

Backstage, Tiffany said Finlay was injured breaking up their brawl and was unable to compete in the main event. She got pissed and said the match would take place anyway.

The Hart Trilogy walked to the ring. Natalya took the mic and said she wants to give everyone a history lesson. She said Tyson Kidd is the one and only protege of Bret Hart. She pointed to David Hart Smith and said he's the son of the British Bulldog. She pointed out that she's the only daughter of Jim Neidhart. The crowd cheered, but she turned them against the group by saying they are something the fans and the wrestlers in the back will never be part of. She said that collectively, they are "The Hart Dynasty".

3. David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd, and Jack Swagger defeated Christian and Tommy Dreamer in 18:40. Striker explained that Finlay suffered an eye injury while pulling Dreamer and Christian apart. Dreamer and Christian worked as a team early on despite their backstage skirmish, yet they still did a nice job of looking leery of one another.

After the break, the heels worked over Christian briefly until he made a hot tag to Dreamer. He got a good reaction when he played to the live crowd. Striker noted that it was a different Dreamer just as he performed his usual "ECW" chant followed by the slide kick into Swagger, who was caught in the tree of woe. Dreamer went into sell mode for the heels for the next few minutes.

Striker raved about the untapped potential of the young guys in the ring. Dreamer finally made the hot tag to Christian, who hit a nice missile dropkick on Kidd. He went for a cover, but Smith broke it up, only to be clotheslined over the top rope by Dreamer. A short time later, Swagger hit his finisher on Christian and scored the 1-2-3.

After the match, Dreamer attacked Swagger from behind, but he was quickly outnumbered. The Hart Dynasty hit the old Hart Attack Clothesline on Dreamer. Natalya entered the ring and raised their hands.

End of show...
