1. Lethal Consequences beat Team No Limit in an excellent opening tag match. Lethal and Creed were super over with the crowd. The fans were really hot for this match.
2. Shark Boy beat Brutus Magnus. Magnus had a local dj with him who had did an angle with Shark Boy at last years show in Cinci. Shark Boy won with his finisher.
3. Roxxi and Taylor Wilde beat Jackie and Madison Rayne. A really high energy tag match. Roxxi and Wilde got a very nice reaction and played to the crowd well during the match.
4. Booker T beat Shane Sewell. Booker got the loudest most sustained reaction of the night. Booker did a nice tribute to Test before the match in which he mentioned that Test was a good friend and one of his favorite tag team partners. He also dedicated the match to Test. Booker than went into full face mode. This was a good although short match. Booker went around tagging fans hands after the match. Kurt Angle was watching the entire match through the curtain.
5. Abyss beat Matt Morgan. Nice little match. Abyss was really over.
6. Robert Roode beat Eric Young. It was supposed to be a tag title match between Beer Money and Rhino and Young but Storm did an injury angle. This was a really good match. After the match Rhino gored Roode.
7. Samoa Joe beat Kurt Angle after a muscle buster. This was a good, although very short match. They did there usual spots with Joe going over clean. Crowd was 50-50 split between the two. After the match, Angle got a really good reaction as he rose to his feet and received a "Thank You Kurt" chant which he really seemed to be soaking in. He than grabbed the mic and thanked the fans for coming, and thanked everyone for giving Impact its highest ratings ever for the last month. He than posed for pictures with the fans after the show.
Observations: The crowd was bigger than last summer's show in the building and the fans were HOT for everything. Every match had heat and the fans seemed really into the product. The event actually began 15 minutes early- The lights went down and intro music started at 7:15 while the show was scheduled for 7:30.
The matches did seem a bit rushed, which was understandable, considering the pay-per-view is today in Orlando.
They really wasted no time, going from match to match quickly with the exception of the 15 minute intermission.
We were seated second row behind the timekeepers table where JB was sitting.
There were audio problems, as the microphone was barely audible when JB was doing his thing throughout the night. However it didn't take away from the actual show, as the crowd was loud all night.
Kurt Angle watched the entire Booker T-Shane Sewell match from the curtain where the wrestlers were entering and seemed to be looking at the fans reactions to Booker and Sewell throughout the match due to the Booker Face swap at the beginning of the match.
I cant describe the pop for Booker T! It was deafening and he played to the crowd throughout the match. He was getting choked up when talking about Test. Once the match started he was having a good time and seemed to really be having a good time during his match.
The Angle- Joe match was worked really safe and was really short. Again, understandable with the pay-per-view coming up. Joe got a nice reaction for his entrance, but when the match started it was a 50-50 split as Angle got a strong reaction throughout the match.
After the show they did the usual autograph session with most of the faces coming out to sign autographs, but security was moving them through really quickly, as you can tell they wanted to get out of the building and head to Orlando as fast as possible.
