WWFX Champions Showcase Tour 2012
2/4/12
Smart Araneta Coliseum, Manila, Philippines

- The show started a little late, but Mr. Colt (Colt Cabana) came down to successfully fire the crowd up for the show. Great reactions all around that definitely made up for the fact that the arena wasn't sold out. The first match was Billy Gun vs. Jimmy Yang.

Billy Gun vs. Jimmy Yang

- Basic opening match. Some pandering at the beginning. Gun, who was working mostly in his D-X character and not really as Mr. Ass, mostly dominated the match as the big man, keeping Yang down and only allowing a few spots from the Asian Redneck. Crowd chanted both men at times, which slightly visibly confused Gun. The match was a short affair as Yang scored the pinfall after Gun and Yang botched the standing moonsault finish.

Winner: Jimmy Yang

Hurricane Helms vs. Sheik Daivari

- Helms came down with the female winner of the WWFX Fan Contest, Hannei Dimaano. Daivari came out to one of the biggest heel reactions from the crowd. This match was mostly a comedy match, which saw Hurricane riling up the crowd and Daivari trying to look for a face reaction.

Daivari gets into referee Rudy Charles's face, which causes Charles to take his shirt off and give it to Hurricane to wear as he wrestled Daivari for a bit, even scoring a nearfall. The match shortly went back to normal, but also didn't take too long, as Hurricane laid Daivari out with the Hurrichokeslam for the win.

Winner: Hurricane Helms

- The male winner of the fan contest, Stan Sy, came down be the guest ring announcer for the next match. A lot of boos for Stan.

Jillian Hall vs. Melina

- Before Melina made her entrance, Jillian made good on her promise to sing. She got into a couple lines of "Hit Me Baby One More Time" before Melina interrupted with her entrance.

The ladies put on a very good match; Jillian hadn't lost a step at all. It wasn't a divas match full of goofy stuff, as the momentum kept changing between the two. Melina pinned Jillian in her second attempt at a sunset flip powerbomb.

Winner: Melina

- After the match, Stan got into the ring and shared a beer with Melina, prompting the straight-edge Luke Gallow to come out and threaten Melina. Before he could lay a hand on her, Rhino came down to make the save and begin the next match.

Luke Gallow vs. Rhino

- Solid mid-tempo midcard match. Both men delivered a hard-hitting match which was easily the stiffest-worked match of the evening, if not the second after MVP-Masters. A lot of support for Rhino, including some "ECW" chants, and a lot of "CM Punk" chants were directed to Gallow. Crowd was still hot due to the bumps both men took. The match went around ten minutes or so, and ended after Rhino hit the Gore.

Winner: Rhino

- Long intermission, with Mr. Colt handing out some backstage passes to the fans at ringside. After half an hour, the show went into the second half.

Snisky vs. Carlitos

- Snisky introduced a baby doll, which he claimed to be his brother. He was probably the most over heel on the show. Carlitos, who was also very over, came out next with the apple. It didn't take long for the match to spill into the crowd, which everyone loved. Both men saw a lot of time outside the ring. The finish came after Carlitos missed the Backstabber, but instead spit the apple on Snisky's face (which drew a huge pop) for the pin and win.

Winner: Carlitos

Chris Master vs. MVP

- Easily the match of the night, despite a notable botch. Things started to get very interesting after MVP missed his signature boot to the corner, which Master capitalized on by working on the leg. He worked on the leg all match, but MVP was able to come back and hit his signature moves.

Master seemed to have botched a finish, kicking out of the Playmaker when it looked like he wasn't supposed to - the bell had rung and everyone thought the match was over, but referee Rudy Charles said it was only a two count. Eventually, MVP put him away with the Drive-By Kick.

Winner: MVP

Main Event: John Hennigan vs. Shelton Benjamin for the vacant WWFX World Championship

- Colt introduced the World Championship first. Benjamin then came out to cheers, then finally Hennigan. A lot of stalling in the beginning, with both men locking up and Benjamin attempting to walk out of the match. Hennigan eventually pulled him back in to really get it underway.

Momentum went back and forth. Referee Rudy Charles took a bump after Hennigan ducked a big boot from Shelton Benjamin. Hennigan hit the Shining Wizard on Shelton, but couldn't seal the win due to Charles still down. This left John open for the Paydirt, but Shelton also couldn't capitalize. A second referee went down to make the count for Shelton, but only got to two, so he ate a superkick from Shelton. Hennigan managed to recover and hit the Starship Pain, by which point Charles managed to get up and count the pin and win.

Winner, and FIRST WWFX World Champion: John Hennigan

- After the match, all the faces went down to celebrate in the ring and with the fans at ringside to end the show.
