      WWF Raw Is War/Warzone
      August 21, 2000
Commentators: Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler

      DirecTV Preview
Hour 1: Countdown to Summer Slam
      Hour 2: Undertaker Emotionally Crippled

Flashback to last and the new developments in the Triple H/Kurt Angle/Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley saga.

The pyros go off inside the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA less than a week before Summer Slam

Ross let's us know Jerry Lawler is yet to arrive in the building, so for right now, JR is going solo.

If ya smell.... hits and the WWF Champion, The Rock makes his way to the ring. Finally, The Rock has come back to Lafayette. Home of the Bayou. Home of the Cajuns. Louisiana, the state that is shaped like a boot. Speaking of boots, The Rock wants to take his own boot and spread some jumbiline on it, spread some gumbo on it, and of course, spread some of that Louisiana hot sauce all over it, take that boot, shove it so far up Triple H's ass so far that it comes right back out, take that same boot, put more hot sauce on it and shove that sumbitch up Kurt Angle's boot. They will both be united on the ROck's boot. However, neither are really united. They both have goals. Number one they both want the title. Number two, they both want to win the hand of the biggest piece of two dollar trash there is. The Rock isnt' thinking about Summer Slam Sunday. The ROck is thinking of payback here tonight.

Wreck hits and out comes the Commish, Mick Foley. Foley tells Rock he knows exactly how Rock feels. After all, Foley used to be the champ. He knows what it feels like to be so consumed with anger you can't think straight. With anger like that, matches can be made, titles can be lost. Even though Foley likes to think he's a pretty popular guy here in Lafayette, LA he's afraid he's going have to make an unpopular move and give The Rock a night off.

Kurt Angle joins the party with Shane McMahon by his side. Kurt says he knows Rock's upset, but he has to look at it from Angle's perspective. Last week when Foley was trying to split Angle from the McMahon family by testing his integrity. It almsot worked, but Angle did come back and bash Rock over the head with a steel chair. By bashing Rock with a steel chair he proved he is a man of integrity. He picked loyalty over selfishness. Even though Rock lost a match, Angle gained a friend.

My Time hits and out comes Triple H and Stephanie. Triple H says Thursday night Kurt showed him a lot of integrity and he has to admit it made Triple H quit proud. The fact of the matter is, nothing will make someone Triple H's friend faster than knocking ROck upside the head with a steel chair. Triple H says Rock seems upset and he can't blame him. After all, Triple H beat him Thursday night. Since he seems to have his family problems behind him, he can get back to what he does best and that is beat Rock's ass. If he is that upset and he feels like putting the title on the line tonight, Triple H says he would be more than happy to come down there and kick his ass in front of all these cajun pieces of crap.

Rock starts to talk, but Foley interrupts. Foley says it's unfortunate Triple H's ears aren't as big as his knows or else he would have heard Foley gave Rock the night off. Since Angle and Triple H are such good friends, Foley is going to put them against another set of friends, The Acolytes. Foley says we have two championships tonight anyway. Steve Blackman vs. Shane McMahon. Shane says he didn't think Foley was serious. Foley says he was as serious as a Blackman family portrait. If Shane wins, he can cheer on his little sister in her title defense against Lita.

Steph says that is just fine with her. After she pins Lita for the third time in that ring, she is confident the ref will raise her hand in vicotry.

Foley says with Steph's intestinental fortitude this match is going to be a slobberknocker. As commish, Foley realizes this match could get way out of hand, so he better appoint a special referee. Someone whoocantain law and order and someone who calls it right down the line. That means it has to be someone who harbors no ill will towards the McMahon-Helmsley family, so he appoints The Rock.

Tazz enteres the arena and a security guy tells him where the lockerroom is. Tazz says the guy is a smartass and Tazz shoves the guy into a garage door. Tazz walks down the hallway and a bunch of boxes fall on him. Jerry Lawler jumps down from his hiding spot and attacks Tazz.

      -Commercial-

Jerry Lawler makes his way ringside to his commentary position so JR is no longer flying solo. Lawler says he's in his ring gear in case Tazz tries something.

Winners: The Hardy Boyz via pinfall

**A lot of people have asked me where the name Swanton Bomb came from. Well, thanks to Busa420, I now know. The move Jeff Hardy does is NOT a senton bomb. What Jeff actually does is a move called the Top Atomico. JR called the senton bomb and nobody caught the mistake right away. By the time someone actually caught JR's mistake, it was too late, so the WWF renamed the move Swanton to cover JR's ass.

Trish Stratus is shown walking to the ring with Val Venis. Trish wants to know why they have to have a match tonight. Val says because Summer Slam is around the corner and Trish doesn't have any experience. Val doesn't want Summer Slam to be 2-on-1, so tonight is a tune up.

Chyna and Eddie run into Foley and Chyna says she wants a match tonight. Foley says he can't do that. Eddie goes nuts. Chyna says we can do it with a match tonight or Chyna will do it her way. Foley says how bout they wait to Summer Slam and he'll make it a Intercontinental mixed tag match. If Eddie pins Val, he becomes champ. If Chyna can rip off Trish's head, she'll become IC Champ.

Triple H tells Stephanie they've accomplished step one. Kurt Angle comes in and asks where the hell Triple H was. Triple H says now we have to focus on Steph's match. Kurt says alright and takes a seat.

The sirens go off and Right To Censor comes down to the ring. Steven Richards says whether we approve or disapprove of their actions is irrelevant. How they obtain results is irrelevant. What is relevant is they will fight the good fight against anyone who offends morality. He assures us Rikishi is one of those. His appearance is offensive. Steven asks if we would live in a world where our children have their rear ends sticking out. Would we live in a world where our children rub their behinds in others faces. That is exactly the bad message Rikishi was sending. When that happens, this happens. They replay what happened in Rikishi's match. If that inappropriate behavior will not stop, the Right to Censor most certainly will stop it. They say no more.

It's a shame because he knows how hard a lot of people had to work for that shrimp. Foley tells the crowd to say Shrimpin Ain't Easy. The point is, people work damn hard in this country and people should be able to watch what ever they want. Everytime those three walk into the ring, the WWF becomes a little less fun. Foley says it would be fun to see Bull and Goodfather in action at Summer Slam against Too Cool and Rikishi. Foley says that doesn't seem fair, so he evens up the odds. He doesn't drop Too Cool or Rikishi, he adds Steven Richards. Foley tells them to go out their and enjoy themselves while Rikishi backs dat big ass up.
