SmackDown Viewership, Lawler Comments on CM Punk, Rey Mysterio Update

- As noted earlier, Rey Mysterio has been removed from advertising for this weekend's WWE live events after suffering a concussion at SummerSlam, and is expected to be out of action for several weeks. WWE is still listing Mysterio for tomorrow's night's SmackDown tapings in Green Bay, WI.

- The August 24th episode of WWE SmackDown did 2,587,000 viewers which is down from last week.

- WWE's website has a new article up with Jerry Lawler talking about last week's attack from CM Punk. Here's a quote:

"It's a sad day when you can't have an opinion and speak your mind. CM Punk thinks he can speak his mind. He has an opinion that he is the best in the world and he has no problem with telling that to everybody. CM Punk and I obviously had a difference in opinion. He had a way of showing me what he thought about my opinion. I've been thinking a lot about it, and maybe this coming Monday night, I might show Punk what I think of his opinion."
