- With bidding currently underway to determine what city will host the 2020 Olympics, the leader of Istanbul, Turkey's bid committee, Hasan Arat, stated this week that his country wants wrestling instated if they host the games.
"If we are awarded the games, Turkey wants to have wrestling events in Istanbul," Arat said. "There is a big responsibility for the international wrestling federation to really make their presentation, to make them really understand the position of this sport in those countries, like the United States, like Russia, like Japan, like Uzbekistan, like Turkey, like Azerbaijan. These countries are very sensitive about wrestling. I hope the wrestling federation will do their best to make their presentation."
- WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, who is in the midst of a legal battle with his fourth ex-wife, will be appearing on the ABC show "Celebrity Wife Swap." The episode was taped last week in Charlotte, North Carolina and will air later this season. Mick Foley appeared on the first season of the show.
