Jesse Ventura, who has been promoting his latest book, DemoCRIPS and ReBLOODlicans, has been teasing in recent media appearances (including CNN's Pierce Morgan show earlier this week) that he will run for President in 2016. On an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Ventura asked Howard if he would be interested in being his Vice President.
Ventura also noted out of all the United States President, only George Washington did not belong to a political party and he wants to start "a new party that is a grassroots movement."
He told Howard numerous times throughout the interview he was serious about running with Howard in 2016 if, people rise up and petition to get them on the ballot.
Ventura became the Governor of Minnesota in 1999 as an Independent.
