Jeff Jarrett, who co-founded TNA Wrestling with his father in 2002, announced this afternoon via Twitter that he has parted ways with the promotion.

After being written off television in December 2011, Jarrett maintained behind-the-scenes roles with TNA Wrestling. In 2012, he oversee Ring Ka King, a short-lived satellite promotion that was based in India. More recently, he helped handle the promotion's creative division.

As a performer, Jarrett is one of TNA's most successful wrestlers in history. From 2002 to 2006, he held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on six occasions for a combined 1,006 days.
