- The Hollywood Reporter reports that Kurt Angle will play a New York City Fire Chief in Sharknado 2: The Second One. This is the sequel to the wildly popular Sharknado movie that aired several months back. The sequel with Angle, Ian Ziering and Tara Reid airs on Syfy on July 21st.

- Despite Angle being pulled from Sunday's TNA Lockdown pay-per-view, Ethan Carter III says he still be wrestling a match. He wrote the following on Twitter:

"For my millions of fans, the answer is YES, I will still be in action at #LockdownMiami. I live for my fans, wouldn't miss it for the world. In the meantime, my thoughts are with @RealKurtAngle. In the heat of competition, things happen. For that, I am truly sorry. #GetWellKurt I will be hosting a press conference tomorrow at #FanInteraction for #LockdownMiami in regards to @RealKurtAngle's status and injury."
