Backstage News on Brooke Hogan's TNA Departure, Rating for Thursday's Hardcore Justice Special
By Marc Middleton
Aug 17, 2013 - 10:57:14 PM

- As noted, Brooke Hogan has been released from TNA. The feeling internally was that Brooke's role as General Manager of the Knockouts division had run its course and both parties decided it was time to party ways. Brooke is said to be focusing on non-wrestling projects going forward but the door is always open for a return later. Financial cuts also played a factor into her release. A source within the company described her contract as "a luxury we can't afford right now."

- Thursday's Hardcore Justice themed episode of Impact Wrestling scored a 0.99 cable TV rating, up slightly from the previous week's 0.96 rating.

Impact averaged 1.319 million viewers. On cable TV Thursday night, it was ranked #35 in overall viewers.
