Thanks to Todd Van Rooyen for sending this report in! Thanks to Mitch for sending in results as well.
Just got back from the House Show in Ft. Wayne and here's everything that went down....
Spike Dudley vs Chavo Guerrero, Jr Crowd pretty into the match, lots of Chavo sucks chants, I got a small "LSD" chant started, but it faded quickly... damn non ECW watching Hillbillies. In the end Spike going for the Acid Drop, flipped out of it, caught a boot to the gut and got the brainbuster and Chavo picks up the win. Winner : Chavo Guerrero, Jr via pinfall after Brainbuster
Chuck Palumbo & Sean O'Haire vs The Holly Cousins Palumbo & O'Haire get alot of heat obviously... The Hollys with a good pop... I'd like to see Hardcore get more action in the angle... basic tag team match with a bunch of double teaming from the heel team, you know how it goes.. Hot tag to Crash who winds up getting a spiked Hot Shot and O'Haire covers for the win. Winners: Palumbo & O'Haire via pinfall
WWF Magazine "program" plug
Out come Raven & Hurricane Helms to face.... The Hardy Boyz WITH Lita... and yes, they got a huge pop...
Raven & Hurricane Helms vs The Hardy Boyz Huge Lita chant to start the match out... Matt worked most of the match and Jeff was on the apron holding his back most of the match (I didn't see Smackdown so I don't know if something happened on there or not) match ends with a big cluster in the ring, Matt hits the Twist of Fate on Helms, Jeff covers for the win. No Poetry in Motion, no Swanton Bomb, but it was still a damn good match. Winners: The Hardy Boyz via pinfall
Kanyon vs "The One" Billy Gunn for the WCW United States Championship Everyone seemed to take a que from me.. cause I went to take a leak during this match... from what I could tell though... it was a boring match... Nick Patrick screws Gunn, Kanyon with a roll-up and a fast count. Winner : Kanyon via pinfall
Mike Awesome & Tommy Dreamer vs The Acolytes Bradshaw works the mic before the match.. Says that The APA and Fort Wayne have a few things in common... neither like suck asses (To Dreamer wearing a Stone Cold shirt) and that neither like men who... like men (To Awesome hanging on Dreamer) not a very long match, Faarooq takes the Dreamer DDT, then hits the spinebuster for the win Winners: The APA via pinfall
Earl Hebner comes out and gets a good pop
Buh Buh Ray Dudley vs The Undertaker Good pop for Taker.. Took a bit to get the match started... lots of interference from D-Von, Taker takes the win with the Chokeslam. Taker also seemed to be favoring his left arm after the match. Winner: The Undertaker via pinfall
Merchandise Plug & Intermission
Test vs Albert I guess they knew everyone would still be in the bathroom, getting food & smoking... Pretty boring match, Patrick was the ref again, wouldn't make the three count, Albert almost stomped him, Test rolls up, fast count for the win. Winner : Test
After the match Albert drug Patrick in the ring and hit him with the Baldo Bomb
Lance Storm vs Edge for the WWF Intercontinental Title Great match... normal opener with Storm wanting to "Be Serious for just a minute" then Edge's music hits... A ton of false finishes, Storm grabs the I-C Title, tries to hit Edge, but Christian comes out and stops that... Implant DDT for the win. Winner: Edge via pinfall to retain the I-C title
Post Match: Edge & Christian celebrate, I try to get a "5 second pose" chant started but it fails.. they leave, I get upset.
Ok, now, originally booked as RVD vs Jeff HArdy.. it didn't happen (obviously with Jeff teaming with Matt earlier in the night) so instead we get...
Rob Van Dam vs Chris Jericho!!!! Awesome, I didn't think he'd be there, I marked out when I heard the countdown... the crowd was HOT into this match... lots of ½ Y2J & ½ RVD chants althrough the match... in the end, as RVD was going for the 5-star Splash, Raven comes down and shoves him off the top rope, Y2J hits the Lionsault for the win Winner: "Y2J" Chris Jericho via pinfall
Main Event: Rhyno vs Kurt Angle Angle got the biggest pop of the night by far... Awesome match... Rhyno mocked Angle throughout the match.. in the end Angle hit rolling German Suplexes, then turned the last one into an overhead belly to belly suplex, Angle Slam into the Ankle Lock and Rhyno taps out. Winner: Kurt Angle via submission
Biggest Pops: 1 - Kurt Angle 2 - Y2J 3 - The Undertaker 4 - Edge 5 - Lita/RVD (tie)
Biggest Heat: 1 - Nick Patrick 2 - LAnce Storm 3 - Rhyno 4 - The Dudleyz
