IPW "Paybacks Are Hell" Results (TV Taping for UPN 44)
    August 25th 2001
    Florida Wrestleplex
    St. Petersburg, Florida
    Approx. Attendance: 250 People

Main Event-IPW Hardcore Title-Cage of Death Match
IPW Hardcore Champion Havoc defeated Kubiak and NWA member Chaos after he pinned Kubiak. Chaos was unable to break up the pin due to being handcuffed to the cage. That prompted NWA Florida wrestlers New Heavenly Bodies (NWA World Tag Champs), Lex Lovett (NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champ), and IPW Lightheavyweight Champion Rod Steel to run out, only to be ran out of the building by the entire IPW locker room, causing a huge IPW chant to erupt.

    IPW World Tag Team Titles
IPW World Tag Team Champions Shane Twins (w/Sir Ronald J. Niemi IV) defeated Quickiemart (w/Mark Zout & B.O.B.) to retain the titles

    Title VS Title
NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Champion Jet Jaguar defeated IPW Lightheavyweight Champion "Miami Pound Machine" Rod Steel by disqualification after NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Lex Lovett interfered. After beating down Jaguar along with his NWA partner, Lovett then turned on Steel by whacking him with a chair!

    IPW Television Title
IPW Television Champion "Fashion Police" Pat McGroin (w/Pat Powers) defeated "Marvelous" Mike Sullivan (w/Sir Ronald J. Niemi IV & XTC) by pinfall after interference from Cuban Assassin, Fantasy, Devin Nash, and Stormtrooper. Throughout all the chaos, Cuban Assassin laid out Sullivan with the Cuban Flag, making it easy for McGroin to pin Sullivan for the three count and the victory. After the match Rastaman made his return to IPW after a brief absence in WWC, and ran Cuban away from Ringside, embracing with Sullivan and showing the fans just how unified IPW really is.

    TV Title Top Contenders Match
"Hot 'N Sexy" Sean Hill (w/Phil Latio) defeated Dr. Heresy. After the match Snowman attacked Latio, as Hill left his partner for dead by walking to the back.

    IPW Streetfight
Stormtrooper versus Devin Nash was ruled a no contest by IPW senior official Star Stevens after IPW Television Champion "Fashion Police" Pat McGroin and Pat Powers interfered.

    WWC Puerto Rican Championship
WWC Puerto Rican Champion Cuban Assassin (w/Fantasy) defeated Axis by pinfall after Mark Zout's interference backfired causing Axis to lose the match.

    Lightheavyweight Contenders Match
Wrongful Death member Naphtali defeated "Uptown" Frankie Capone. After the match Capone's bodyguard Python and Kat Larue interfered, causing Snack Pack member Von Tankard and Destiny to come out and clean out the ring.

    Tag Team Grudge Match
Wrongful Death members Dagon Briggs and Ashe Corvan defeated Justice and Kamikaze Kid by pinfall after a powerbomb/top rope spinkick combination of Briggs & Corvan.

Before the show started, IPW owner Ron Niemi, IPW Commissioner "Honest" Eddie Edward, and Wrestleplex Owner Devin Nash came to ringside to thank the loyal IPW fans for the TV spot they have every Saturday night on UPN 44.

∙ RUMOR HAS IT that one-half of the world famous Shane Twins, 'T-Bone' TODD SHANE, was running amuck in a Waffle House in the local Tampa area. It was in the wee hours of the morning in which he had an entourage of women along with four orders of delicious t-bone steaks. The women admitted to being 'love slaves of sorts' to the rugged Shane brother. His women, as he called them, barked their name upon Todd's request: Lacretia, Shandra, Chatwanda, Lawanda, and Pearl all said they love to 'Ride the Soul Train' with Todd. They said he was the 'Mackest of all Daddy-O's'. Todd just smiled and enjoyed his steak products.

∙ RUMOR HAS IT that Since being injured, SEIJIN AKKI has had some troubles adjusting to 'normal life' outside of IPW. From ordering McDonald's to feeding ducks in the park, situations have occurred everywhere. Speaking through a translator, Akki stated, 'I've been to the DMV and while they tried to take my picture for my license, the round eyed goons attacked me and went for my mask! What kind of country is this?' Akki-san is outraged, claiming that while at a Try-n-Save, he was oppugned again for his mask. 'We just can't help ourselves,' said Try-n-Save bagger boy Albert P. Flogg. 'We see that mask, instantly we need to see what's under it.' An around the clock lookout, much like the fabled UGN (Underground Godzilla Network), is making Akki's life miserable.

∙ RUMOR HAS IT that IPW Commish 'Honest' EDDIE EDWARDS was recently seen at a Tampa Bay Devil Rays baseball game. Clearly celebrating the launch of IPW TV, eyewitness testimonials place 'The Honest One' in possession of some rather plush seats, a couple of hot dogs, and as one on-looker called it, 'a Mt. Everest-sized pile of empty beer cups'. Two fans in attendance, Kayfabin' Ken Billings and William T. Wahtz claimed that after consuming refreshing beer after beer, Edwards verbally and physically accosted the two after a simple question: 'All I asked was where was he from. So he says Philly, and I go Philly? That place is a cesspool. So imagine my surprise when he starts to choke me out right there in section 104! It had to have been the beer, right?' Upon his subsequent ejection from the Trop, Edwards had this to say, 'Screw this place. All I did was raise a little hell. These marks are lucky I didn't whip out the batteries and start whipping them on the field like we do at the Vet.' With that, he leapt into an on waiting car and was seen last heading in the direction of Hooters.

∙ RUMOR HAS IT that The FCC has fined 'Hardcore Giant' RON NIEMI for excessive use of 'Old School Name Dropping' during the Cowhead radio program he visited with current NWA Junior Heavyweight champion Jet 'King of Filth' Jaguar. Spokesperson for the FCC, Sally Jo Wilson, said, 'Mr. Niemi's excessive and blatant disregard for name dropping is appalling and a direct violation of statue 234.4b.' Said Niemi, 'Dory Funk is rolling over in his grave right now! Why I have a mind to..' 'I don't think Dory is dead, Ron.' called out the Jaguar. Stopping dead in his tracks, Niemi just muttered 'Notafingah!' and stormed off.

∙ RUMOR HAS IT that after very minimal research and practically no eyewitnesses, it appears that a possible reason for the recent hostility between 'Uptown' FRANKIE CAPONE and DESTINY may have all started when Destiny criticized some of Frankie's ring attire, more specifically, his Patent-Pending Boa. It appears that Capone may have overheard Destiny making disbarring remarks such as 'He looks like a cracked-upped Huggy Bear from Starsky and Hutch.' which very well could have been the catalyst. 'I guess so, I mean I really don't remember that show too well,' claimed Amber Waves, local dancer who doesn't know either party. 'But if they are looking for some good clean 6 foot rule-abiding fun, then please tell them to come down to the Jiggly Room. Ask for me or my roommate Ashley, she`s good too."

    OVW TV TAPING
    8/22/01
    Aaron "Lurch" Wilson
    awlurch@hotmail.com

-Overall a very average night in OVW to say the least, with the
crowd down a bit because of the Kentucky State Fair. Calling
tonights show are Jim Cornette and Dean Hill. Dean Hill announced
that Big Show would be at Davis arena next week to take on
Machine for the OVW Title. Later on he also announced that
Rhyno and Chris Kanyon would be in the house as well.

-Damaja & Rob Conway vs. Rico Costatino & Prototype

-A very good opening match to start off the night with Rico and
Rob Conway starting off with some very quickly paced wrestling.
The crowd really is all over Kenny Bolin and Prototype, but
for some reason they love Rico. Very interesting combination.
The match comes to an end as Rico tries to hold Conway so
Bolin can hit him with the Bolin Services briefcase but
Synn comes down to the ring and sprays mace in the face of Bolin
allowing Conway to get the low blow and Damaja pulling off the
Brain Damage and picking up the win.

-Winner Conway and Damaja via pinfall

-Next Jim Cornette and Dean Hill come down to the ring and Cornette
starts off on the mic telling a story about his recent trip to the
gas station. The Station attendent then went on to ask Cornette
who they had that was new in OVW. Cornette told him David Flair
was there and the attendent responded with "David Flair Sucks Ass!"
This is when Cornette told the OVW crowd what Eric Bischoff and
Russo did to Flair by throwing him into the ring with no training on
national TV trying to screw over Ric Flair. He then got David into
the ring and asked him if he was willing to start from the bottom,
doing ring crew if he has to and work his way to the top. Flair
stated yes to all Cornettes questions and the show went to a commercial
    break.

    -Nick Dinsmore vs. Machine
LUMBERJACK OVW TITLE MATCH - LUMBERJACKS: BOBBY EATON & RON WATERMAN

-The match started off extremely high paced and technical with
Machine getting thrown to Waterman and Eaton and getting tossed
right back into action. The match was by far the best match of
the night with the "Go Nick Go" chants echoing across the city.
The show went to a commercial break with Machine pulling off a
very unique insegurie as it came right back on the air. The match
came to an end just as it looked as if Dinsmore had it in the
bag but Johnny Spade and Big Bad John took out Eaton and Waterman
and fought to the back as the referee got knocked out in the
ring. Then a man dressed like Machine with the mask on came to the
ring, hiding from the ref as Dinsmore is layed out with a chair by
the real Machine. The imposter then makes his way into the ring
and pins Dinsmore to retain Machine's belt.

    -Winner Machine via pinfall

-Next Dean Hill interviews Bolin Services who comes out to new music
this week. I didn't catch too much of this segment, but for the
most part Kenny Bolin talks about a new member of Bolin Services
coming in the next couple of weeks named Vic. She is apparently
the trainer of Bolin Services. It would be my best bet that "Vic"
is Victoria who is currently training in OVW. Expect Vic to make
her OVW Debut with Bolin Services within the next few weeks.

-Mark Henry & Randy Orton vs. Payne & Damien w/ Synn & Swail
    TV MAIN EVENT

-A very good TV Main event with Orton and Damien starting off with
some good in ring work. Damien is starting to improve in the ring
as well as all the others. Henry is really impressive in the ring
compared to where he was a couple of years ago. He will defenitely
shock the WWF TV audience when he returns with his great improvements.
The match came to an ende as Henry threw Payne into the ropes and
did a leapfrog over him as Bolin made his way up to the ring and
knocked him in the back with the briefcase, allowing Henry to
Powerslam Payne and get the three count. After the match Leviathan
as well as all of Bolin Services brawled in the ring as the cameras
went off the air for another great week in OVW.

-Winners Mark Henry & Randy Orton via pinfall

    NWA Crowns New World Champ;
    Are Worlds Colliding in Florida?

TAMPA - Former NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Champion and "Super Junior Open" winner Lex Lovett captured the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title on Tuesday night with a hard fought victory over former champ Mike Thunder in a rematch of their recent Texas encounter.

Despite outside interference from NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Champion Jet Jaguar, who has been embroiled in a feud with Lovett, and IPW owner Ron Niemi, the self-proclaimed "Hardcore Giant," Lovett was able to secure a victory thanks to the help of NWA New England's "Boston Bad Boy" Jason Rumble, who helped lock the victory for Lovett. After the match Rumble asked Lovett for his hand to cement a world title match on October 13th as part of the NWA's "Battle of the Belts" 53rd Anniversary show. When Lovett shook hands with the Massachusetts native to accept, Rumble decked him and warned Lovett "never trust anyone from Boston."

Also on the card, NWA World Heavyweight Champion "King of Old School" Steve Corino turned back the challenge of NWA Florida Heavyweight Champion "Iceman" Buck Q, when Corino caught Q with the "Old School Expulsion" after the match was restarted by NWA Florida senior referee Frankie Reyes. Prior to the restart, a battered and bloody Q. had been announced as the new NWA World Champion having pinned Corino, after Reyes had been temporarily impaired and Corino had been attacked and laid out by MECW's Sandman, who showed up at the event unannounced. However, after NWA President Howard Brody explained the circumstances to Reyes, despite protests by Bill Alfonso and Mark Gold (respectively Q's manager and financial advisor), the match was restarted, enabling Corino to gain the victory.

In other matches, the NWA World Tag Team Champion Heavenly Bodies (Casanova Chris and Vivacious Vito managed by Gigolo Jimmy del Rey) successfully defended their belts against IPW's "Marvelous" Mike Sullivan (with XTC) and "Black Nature Boy" Scoot Andrews when they delivered the Veg-o-matic on Sullivan; The Shane Twins (with Ron Niemi) defended the Florida Unified Tag Titles (NWA Florida and IPW-Hardcore) with a victory over "Cuban Assassin" Fidel Sierra (with Fantasy) and "Extreme Shah" Hack Myers; Jet Jaguar retained the NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Title with a victory over Pepe Prado and Jason Rumble when he pinned Prado; "Miami Pound Machine" Rod Steel defended the IPW Light Heavyweight title with a victory over Naphtali; Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling's Jason Sugarman and Jorge Estrada made their NWA Florida debut with a victory over IPW's Quickiemart; "Sexy" Sean Hill topped "Uptown" Frankie Capone; and in the opener NWA New England tag team champs Criminally Insane defeated Bruiser Layton and Townes.

The next NWA Florida card at the Fort Hesterly Armory takes place on Tuesday, September 18th with NWA World Heavyweight Champ "King of Old School" Steve Corino facing "Black Nature Boy" Scoot Andrews; NWA World Tag Team Champs the Heavenly Bodies versus NWA Wildside's Total Destruction (Sean Royal and Rusty Riddle); newly crowned NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champ Lex Lovett making a title defense against an opponent to be named later; NWA Florida Heavyweight Champ "Iceman" Buck Q. takings on "Marvelous" Mike Sullivan; Florida Unified Tag Team Champs the Shane Twins (with Ron Niemi) meeting TCW's Jason Sugarman and Jorge Estrada; NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Champ Jet Jaguar squaring off again with "Boston Bad Boy" Jason Rumble and this time IPW Light Heavyweight Champ "Miami Pound Machine" Rod Steel in a three-way dance; and Pepe Prado facing Barry Horowitz.

Tickets will be $10, $12 and $15 and will made available soon.

TAMPA - Less than a week after it was announced that NWA Florida's Lex Lovett would defend the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship at "Battle of the Belts 2001" against NWA New England's "Boston Bad Boy" Jason Rumble, other junior heavyweights from around the organization issued protests to NWA President Howard Brody.

"As of Saturday morning, August 25th, I have received three written protests seeking to remove Jason Rumble from the October 13th match against Lex Lovett," said Brody. "Each letter is accompanied by a letter of support from their promoter, including NWA Co-Vice Presidents Bill Behrens and Jim Miller. Each wrestler is asking that Rumble be removed from the match and instead they be inserted in his place, charging various reasons."

Brody said that each wrestler had "somewhat of a valid complaint" and because their arguments were bona fide, he has decided to expand the match beyond the traditional one-on-one confrontation. Just which three wrestlers submitted grievances?
"Tornado" Tony Kozina of NWA Pacific Northwest (Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling) is a two time former NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion; Jimmy Rave is the current NWA Wildside Junior Heavyweight Champion and recently pinned Lovett during a match in Georgia; and Brandon K. of NWA East claimed he never received the title shot he was promised when Vince Kaplack won the title a year ago in Nashville.

Of the three, who gets the nod?

"All of them," said Brody. "This will be the very first 'Frenzied Five-Way' to determined the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title. And as the late, great, Gorilla Monsoon would probably say, it's going to be sheer pandemonium."

In other major announcements: Brody declared that the idle NWA Canadian Heavyweight Championship would finally be filled on October 13th as two former champions would be vying for the vacant title when E.Z. Ryder of the NWA Canadian Wrestling Federation squares off with "Gorgeous" Michelle Starr of NWA ECCW. And citing "an inconsistency in the method of choosing a champion," Brody said that NWA National Heavyweight Champion Kevin Northcutt would face his number one Texas adversary at "Battle of the Belts 2001" in NWA-Southwest's Hotstuff Hernandez.

For the latest "Battle of the Belts 2001" update, please visit http://www.nwa-florida.com/botb.htm or call the NWA Florida Hotline at 813-960-4168.

*The Official KING OF INDIES 2001 ONLINE NEWSLETTER*
by: Senior Media Editor, Jeremy "Jermz" Medeiros
    (August 22nd - August 27th 2001)

"Only 9 weeks until King Of Indies 2001!!!"

    -------------------------------------------

*WELCOME TO THE KING OF INDIES NEWSLETTER*

Welcome to the online newsletter devoted entirely to All Pro Wrestling's Annual King Of Indies Tournament. This will be a way to keep up with all the latest news and happenings for this Fall's huge event, which is already being called by some, the biggest show in the history of independent wrestling. This newsletter will be delivered in your e-mail every Wednesday night from now until October 24th (which is KOI Opening Day!), and it will be complete with all of the stats and facts you need to stay on top of what is going on with this huge event!
It is never too early to begin planning your trip to the great city of Vallejo, California for your KOI Weekend Vacation. There are lots of things to do in this area, and you could easily make a week out of it. From Wednesday October 24th through Sunday October 28th, will be a wrestling fans dream week!

    -------------------------------------------

    *RECKLESS YOUTH SUFFERS SERIOUS INJURY*

It is being reported all over the internet that 2001 King Of Indies participant, Reckless Youth, has suffered a serious back injury, and could possibly be taken out of this October's tournament...and even worse, may have to consider permanent retirement. Reckless has a tear in one of the discs in his lower back, and is currently seeing a specialist, while doing physical therapy. This fantastic wrestling superstars career is currently in jeopardy.
APW President Roland Alexander recently stated: "I really feel bad for Reckless and I wish him the very best and hope everything works itself out. This is a wrestler who has been one of the top 3 indy wrestlers in pro wrestling over the last 4 or 5 years but can't seem to get a break in this business. I was very much looking forward to having this great talent in the KOI 2001. He has offered for us to replace him in the tournament and I chose to give him the next 30 days to see what transpires with his health. As much as we would miss having him in the tournament, I think it is more important to make sure Reckless is healthy and that the injury does not get worse. I feel only Reckless knows how he feels and only he will be allowed to make that decision."
You can remain posted on the latest information on Reckless Youth on www.allprowrestling.com, and right here in the KOI Newsletter. We wish him the best of luck in a full recovery, as do wrestling fans all over the world. A final decision will be made on his future in the KOI tournament within the next month.

Frankie The Future Kazarian is no stranger to APW, west coast or east coast wrestling fans as he has wrestled for APW many times and travels the west and east coasts frequently wrestling for many other indie federations. He was born on August 4th, 1977 in Palm Springs, CA. Growing up in Yucca Valley, CA, at the tender age of seven, Frankie got his first glimpse of what would become his passion in life, professional wrestling. From that point until this very day, Frankie=92s life has revolved around wrestling. The action figures, the cd's, the magazines, the tapes, he had it all. His first heroes of the mat were guys like Ricky Steamboat and Tito Santana. As he grew older, eventually, Bret and Owen Hart, Shawn Michaels, Sean Waltman, and various others gave Frankie the inspiration to fulfill his life-long dream of becoming a professional wrestler. After researching wrestling schools all around the world, he, upon recommendation by none other then Bret Hart, chose !
the Killer Kowalski institute of professional wrestling.
In early 1998, Frankie packed up everything he had, and drove over 3,000 miles to the northeast. When he arrived, he really had arrived. From the first day of training, he completely engulfed himself in the business. It was then that he learned that to rise to the top of this business, he must learn all styles, and truly become a chameleon of the sport. Walter "Killer" Kowalski was there with him every step of the way, as the two developed a great life long friendship. Having his first few matches in the New England area, Frankie was pretty much forced to return to the sunshine state. Upon his arrival, he began working with various independent promotions but quickly found a home in the EWF. Frankie continued to develop his own style, and quickly made a name for himself in Southern California. In May of 2000, Frankie began working with Rick Bassman's
UPW. There he has worked with the best there is in California, and UPW including APW's top stars such as Michael M!
odest, Donovan Morgan & Vincenzo Massaro. With several WWF dark matches under his belt, movies and television, Frankie is ready to continue his successful career with an appearance in the prestigious King of Indies Tournament 2001.

AWF Thanks CNE Paramedics and St. Michael's Hospital Staff

Aug.25th, 2001 AWF Proving Ground Results from Toronto, Canada...

The Apocalypse Wrestling Federation would like to extend our thanks
to the CNE paramedics and St. Michaels Hospital staff for their
excellent work in treating an injured Jaguar Vijay Singh on Saturday.

Vijay appeared to have suffered an injury which left him knocked out
and immobile following his loss to AWF Champion Joey Knight at the
conclusion of Saturday's AWF programming at the CNE.

The medical staff on hand at the CNE quickly rushed into the ring to
tend to Jaguar and had him transported to St. Michael's Hospital in
downtown Toronto for a diagnosis by a doctor. The AWF is happy to
report that a series of x-rays administered at the hospital proved
to be negative and that Jaguar was discharged and sent home to rest.

The AWF is also pleased to report that Jaguar will indeed be ok but,
against his wishes, he will not be allowed to continue on in the
tournament until we are completely sure that he is at 100%.

The following are the results and standings from day 9 of the
