Thanks to Adam Martin from http://www.wrestleview.com for sending this in! Thanks to Grant Schuemann for sending this report in! Let me just say first of all that the set looked awesome in real life, but just as the Raw set which I saw here in April, the entrance/walkway looks so much bigger on tv than in real life. For some reason the show started at 5:30 our time and Smackdown started at 6:00 even though it is always on at seven and was on at seven last week. I don't know if Smackdown was live for the rest of the US but here in Denver, Colorado it was delayed an hour because when it was 7 an hour had gone by and me and my friends saw the opening Hardy/RVD match on the tv's in the suites on the upper levels. Anyway, I got there a little late but I don't think there were any dark matches. Here are two Heat matches that I can remember: Crash and Hardcore Holly vs. Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire There might have been a match before this but I'm not sure. One note from this match was that Crash's hair was not the bleached blonde that Hardcore's is but more of a brown color. This match was okay with the fans popping big for the move where Hardcore sets the opponent on the rope and kicks them in the chest and balls. Palumbo and O'Haire got the win but I'm not sure how. Winners: Palumbo/O'Haire by pin Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Spike Dudley w/ Molly Holly When is Spike going to get his own music? This was another okay match with Spike winning with the dudley dog. Winner: Spike Dudley via pin Live Notes: Not many off camera happenings to report. After the show me and my friend went to where the superstars parked and there were probably 100 to 200 people outside in the parking lot waiting for the superstars. We got to see Lilian Garcia, Charles Robinson, RVD, Stone Cold and Debra, Earl Hebner, Tim White, Arn Anderson, and Seargent Slaughter. Lilian waved to the crowd after putting her suitcase in the trunk of her car then walked back inside for some reason? Stone Cold seemed to just wanna get out of there as he didn't even salute the crowd or even look in our direction. The nicest person was easily Tim White as he was the only person to walk along the guardrail and signed ticket stubs and whatever else people had and was very polite and nice to the fans. Even though it looked like he wanted to leave, he tryed to get to everyone. Major props to White who has worked for the WWF for 18 years, something I didn't know till he said that while signing. While talking to people that had been in the parking lot for a while they said that Taker and Kane left early and Kane wasn't wearing his mask! Biggest Pops: 1) The Rock - every move he did got the crowd to pop incredibly loud 2) Undertaker/Kane - Just like at Raw in April these two got an awesome reaction 3) Kurt Angle - the face turn is definitely working out 4) Chris Jericho - awesome promo...moooooooooo 5) Big Show/Billy Gunn - don't ask me why Biggest Heat: 1) Austin - besides a select few, myself included, everyone HATED this guy 2) WCW refs - especially Nick Patrick 3) Booker T - not a popular sucka 4) Kanyon - who better than kanyon? everyone If Smackdown or Raw is coming to a town near anyone definitely go to see it...it is an incredible experience!!!
