    - WWF.com has put up an interview with Matt Hardy. In the interview, Hardy discusses his lengthy European title reign (Hardy currently has the second longest reign in European title history), the magazine dedicated to him, Lita and his brother Jeff entitled "Extreme" and the grueling August travel schedule that is currently underway, among other things. - Tomorrow, August 24th, will be Vince McMahon and Funaki's birthday.

    - Scott Steiner's injured foot seems to be healing but he is not ready to return to the ring. His contract with AOL Time Warner runs until December and it seems inevitable that he will become an employee of WWFE judging by what Steiner and Jim Ross have stated publicly.

    Excess Trish!
Trish will be reaching her fans on TNN once a week

    Better fasten your seat belts!

Trish Stratus is going to be beaming into your home once a week on TNN.

Trish -- along with "Coach" Jonathan Coachman -- will be co-hosting the World Wrestling Federation's newest program, "WWF Excess," which will air each Saturday from 10 p.m. to midnight on TNN. The live show will feature interaction between the superstars and fans who will be able to call and e-mail the program.

For Saturday's debut episode, Triple H will guest star.

This all comes on the heels of Trish’s recent successful appearance on Howard Stern's radio program.

“I’m excited about doing this show, I can highlight my personality a little without always being in character,” says Stratus. “I’m also looking forward to the style of the show which will allow me to interact with the fans.”

This TV break couldn’t have come at a better time since Trish recently found out she had received the kind of break all athletes fear. X-rays revealed that Stratus had a bone chip in the joint where her leg meets her ankle -- which is the main weight-bearing joint of the leg. Doctors told her they'd have to screw the chip back to the ankle, but when they performed surgery on Aug. 2, they determined that the chip was small enough that they could just remove it. But don’t worry – Trish says nothing will stop her from meeting her fans on ‘WWF Express’.

“I’m feeling tons better then I was last week,” says Trish. “But it’s no problem – they would have to break both my legs to keep me from appearing on this show. I really love the way they’ve set things up. I’m really looking forward to it.”

    - Welcome to my review of Chairshots the radio show starring Brent Fusaro and Rod Siciliano. The show airs on 88.1 FM WBLQ in Westerly, Rhode Island on Thursday nights from 6-7:30 PM. This is only a review of the show; the whole show can be heard on www.chairshots.com with use of Real Player. This week's guest is John Collins of MECW.

    John Collins of MECW

    - Main Event Championship Wrestling

    - John said that his show last Sat. 8/11 at the ECW Arena was a Free show because it was a TV Pilot.

    - Collins said that he couldn't discuss with what network it was but he said we would be seeing it within 60 days.

    - John said that his goal is to become the strongest #2 company behind the WWF. He said that no one can compete with the WWF and if they try they will die.

    - John said that he goes around promoting at other Indy shows with stars such as Curt Henning and He describes working with Curt as classy.

    - Collins said that Curt Henning is the MECW Heavyweight Champion and is under contract with MECW.

    - John said that he has Public Enemy, Sandman and Curt Henning under contract and they are in negotiations right now with Dr. Death Steve Williams, Barry Windham, Mike Rotunda and the Road Warriors.

    - Collins said that the rumors that there were problems with Buff Bagwell were false. Also, the rumors of Barry Windham and Tracy Smothers being upset were false.

    - John said that he has no wrestling background outside of MECW.

    - Collins said that his promotion will be national and it will happen within a couple of years.

    - John said that for now the East Coast is where his fan base is so they will start out there.

    - Collins said that Sandman, Barry Windham and Curt Henning are part of the Booking team.

    - John said that he has spoken to Terry Taylor about joining MECW but he has not talked to him in the last two weeks, but he hopes Terry is still excited to work for him.

    - Collins said that he would have to talk to Terry Taylor about his comments that he was promised some things by Collins that have not come true.

    - John said that he didn't get the ticket itinerary to Bobby Heenan in time for the show last Sat. 8/11 at the ECW Arena.

    - Collins said that he has spoken to Randy Savage about 15 times, along with Terry Taylor and Hulk Hogan and he said with all due respect to them that he was not going to blow a budget on one person.

    - John said that he has Tracy Smothers training some younger talent for MECW.

    - Collins said that he loves to go out with Curt Henning and scout the Indy shows because he believes those guys are the ones who love the business, not the high priced established guys. He feels that the Indy workers who wrestle for $20 a night deserve a shot because there are a lot of talented young guys out there waiting to be discovered.

    - John said that the pilot is going to a major network.

    - Collins said that despite the comments made by Disco Inferno that "he was a con man and had no money", he has never spoken to Disco but he considers him a great young talent and couldn't say a negative thing about him.

    - John said they have a big show next week featuring Curt Henning, Johnny The Bull, Buff Bagwell, Sandman, Public Enemy, Chris Harris, The Giant Justice Rob Williams, The Road Warriors, Mike Rotunda and Dr. Death Steve Williams.

    - Collins said that their web site is under construction.

    - John said that the split show idea has been put on hold due to the fact that the South and the East like two different types of wrestling and he needs to figure out how to appease both audiences.

    - Collins said that the MECW offices will be located in Illinois.

    - The phone number to reach John Collins directly is (618) 943-2653; he would like to speak to anyone who thinks they could help better their product.

    - John said that he needs the help of the fans and the media to make it and he refers to MECW as a "WE Company" and not a "ME Company."

    - Collins said you will never see him on TV involved in an angle because nobody wants to see him.

    - John said that MECW has been around for a few years but hasn't got any attention until now.

    - Collins said he wants to bring wrestling back to where it was in the 60's, 70's and 80's where the marquee says WRESTLING, not talking.

    - John said that they hired a guy named Joe E. who is 4'5'' and can work with the best of them.

    - Collins said that he has a show at the ECW Arena on September 22nd.

    - John invited the workers of Chairshots to that show and offered backstage access so we could see for ourselves what kind of promotion it really is.

    - John Collins thanks Rod and Brent for having him on and then signs off.

    - For www.chairshots.com this is Dirty Doug Bloom signing off.
