- According to a local show in Toronto, Ontario, Wrestlemania 2002 has been confirmed to take place at the SkyDome in the city. The official announcement is said to take place at the September 3rd "Thank You, Toronto" rally. Rob Rodusky sent in the following: Bill Goldberg, who will be in town Saturday and Sunday for the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic, conducted a phone interview on 96.1 WBBB Thursday morning. The interview started off with Goldberg commenting on how good he feels and that he wished that his golf game was as good as he is feeling. They discussed his wrestling status and he said that there have been a bunch of rumors and he has not wrestled since January. However, he said that he is still under contract for two more years with Turner. He would love to go out there for the kids but it is contractual. He reiterated that he feels bad for the kids. Bill commented on how proud he is of his book and that his dad is probably is the most proud that his two sons did not kill each other writing it. They finished up with him talking of his brief NFL career and that he is looking forward to seeing everyone out at the golf classic.
