DDP injured, Stasiak's screw-ups not a work, Notes from Raw, more

    - Apparently, there could be more than one reason as to why Diamond Dallas Page was squashed at Summerslam in the cage match. Aside from backstage heat, Page worked the match with a torn meniscus in one of his knees. The injury, which occured a few weeks prior to Summerslam, was known to WWF officials. Page is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Wednesday and could undergo arthroscopic surgery as early as Friday. Should surgery be required, Page will be out for approximately 3 weeks.

Page also suffered a possible shoulder injury during the cage match which needed to be iced heavily. The injury did bother him at Raw last night as well. However, the extent of the injury is unknown and depending on whether it is serious or not, Page may have to take even more time off.

    - Triple H was backstage at Raw last night. Triple H was also backstage at Summerslam in San Jose and just decided to stick around and attend Raw.

    - Shawn Stasiak messing up his lines on the Steve Austin tribute skit was actually not a work. Stasiak was really messing up his lines and the writers thought it was so funny that they played it into his "doofus" gimmick.

    - Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam did not work at Raw last night because they were selling the ladder match at Summerslam. Neither was injured seriously.

    - Most of the people involved in last night's main event skit were cracking up as soon as they got backstage because it was so goofy, namely the former ECW wrestlers since they were never involved in anything like that.

    - There is no word on when Kane will return to action. As we reported earlier, Kane went into Summerslam with a lower back injury and, consequently, missed last night's Raw.
