It's a fairly small blurb about how HBO's "Six Feet Under" has brought the mortuary industry to the forefront of pop culture. From the magazine: "THE UNDERTAKER: Months ago, insiders figured the much-injured WWF star's career was D.O.A. But he's b-a-c-k. And he's sent his Old West-style coat to the boneyard, opting instead for jeans, biker boots, and a Harley. It's a killer makeover; meet Dead Man Riding." There's also a small picture of one Mark Calloway accompanying the blurb. Phil Varlese sent in the following: Hawk and Animal of the Legion of Doom have updated their website. The site has some new photos, as well as a very recent interview with Hawk, who made some very pointed comments directed at the WWF. Here is a part of the interview: Hawk Speaks Out Part 1 of 2 (Part 2 coming next week.) Hawk, before we start, I just want to say you seem to be in an exceptionally good mood today. What's up? Hawk: "Well, I just heard that poor Vince McMahon has lost over $100 million this past year. He lost $70 million with the XFL. It was just dysfunctional football. That was the absolute worst football I had ever seen in my life. It was a disgrace and embarrassment to the game. $20 million to the Hart family, which was an injustice to them. And, for the record, this is my opinion and I am entitled to it, but I feel that was MURDER. He also lost a suit to the World Wildlife Foundation, which was around a lot longer than the wrestling and the WWF. Well, the moral of the story is what goes around comes around, especially when it comes to EVIL." First question, Hawk. Where the hell have you been and what have you been up to? Hawk: "Good question. Well, I have been spending time with my beautiful wife Dale and enjoying some good quality beach time. Also, I have been exercising. Actually, for the first time in my life I have been doing more cardio. For the first 11 months, I did strictly cardio to get my heart and health back and dropped down to 229 pounds, but felt that that was too low for me. Now I am at a more comfortable 238. I fluctuate from 235 - 240. There is definitely truth to muscle memory. Since lifting I felt it has come back to me in all the right places. I feel great and my current health status is phenomenal." What do you think of the current status of wrestling? Hawk: "My opinion is to take a piece of the pie away from Vince McMahon and put it in some of the other wrestlers' pockets. Some of these other federations are going to pop up because there is one person competing with himself. Vince has created a monopoly. There are going to be other groups shooting up. Of course, for me and Animal there is always Japan. I feel it would be a lot healthier market if Vince had some competition. But I am happy to see him move away from some of all the nasty stuff he was doing even though he could still clean it up a little more. My current overall status is fair. It (wrestling) will always survive." What do you miss about working for the WWF? Hawk: "The only thing that I would ever miss from the WWF is the paychecks. I don't have any interest in working for them at all - and that's that!" Hawk has a lot more to say in Part 1 of this interview. To read it in its entirety, go to their OFFICIAL website, www.hawkandanimal.com .
