The only thing set for RAW is WAR tomorrow night at this stage is Matt Hardy vs. Christian for the WWF European Championship.

Mick Foley will be the host of the new TNN show Battlebots that debuts tomorrow at 8pm right before RAW.

Jim Ross made an interesting comment at the end of the Ladder match saying "Could this be the last Ladder match we ever see?" Apparently WWF management believe that those type of matches are too high-risk oriented and therefore the high-risk action will be toned down in the future.

It appears that the Lightheavyweight and Tag Team Titles matches on the PPV were unification title matches so that there will now only be one set of Tag Team Titles and one Lightheavyweight Title.

AT&T Broadband McHenry, which services northern Illinois, was having problems broadcasting SummerSlam tonight and apparently anybody with a converter box will not be able to see the event.

    Interview Report with Val Venis
    Date: August 19, 2001
    Interviewer: Joltin' Joe from Starphone

TORONTO -- This past week in Toronto, Joltin' Joe caught up with former WWF Intercontinental Champion, Val Venis. Val was in town for a Celebrity Tennis Match, to help promote the kick-off of the Rogers AT&T Cup in Toronto. Val spoke out on several issues, including the purchase of WCW, his future in the wrestling industry and more. Here's what Val had to say:

    - Val Venis emphasizes that it would be fantastic to have WWF WrestleMania XVIII come to Toronto.

    - He said that he has almost completely recovered from the injury he sustained while "bumping" in the ring. Venis claims that he is almost 100%.

    - Venis clarifies that he believes the "Right to Censor gimmick" is done. He went on to say that he had fun doing his old gimmick as a "pornstar" when he first came into the WWF.

    - Val told Joltin' Joe that he doesn't really know what to say about WCW/ECW alliance. However, Val ensured that he does not want to go to the Alliance, since his dream has always been of wrestling in the World Wrestling Federation.

    - When asked to make his predictions for WWF SummerSlam, Val said that he thinks Kurt Angle will come out on top against Stone Cold Steve Austin because he wrestles with 3 I's, which are very similar to Val's four commandments (NOTE: At this point in the interview, Val started speaking spanish with Joltin' Joe, which was quite funny). Also, Val said that he believes "Y2J" Chris Jericho will defeat the "manbeast" Rhyno, since Jericho knows the ring like the back of his hand.

    - He said that he thinks the purchase of WCW will be good for Vince McMahon. Val went on to emphasize that Vince does not have a monopoly on the wrestling, since he is not preventing other promoters to compete against the World Wrestling Federation. He said that McMahon is simply just making competition for himself right now because nobody else can compete against the WWF.

    - When Joltin' Joe asked Val what his opinion was on the WWF signing Goldberg, he said that his doesn't count. He went on to say that if the fans want Goldberg, he WWF will do whatever they can to get him.

    - Lastly, Val said that he hopes to be at WWF RAW is WAR and WWF SmackDown! in Toronto, but he might not be competing at the two events.
