    Top Rope Radio recap

    It was a full show on the July 29th edition ofTop Rope Radio. The NEW Top Rope Radio champion, Dr Ruthless was in studio.Callers included: Charles from Krash Krew, former champ Maverick issuing achallenge, ref Mike Kehner, and more announcements regarding Autumn Armageddon.

    Hosts Bay Ragni, Lucky Larry were joined in studio by theNEW Top Rope Radio champion Dr Ruthless. Larry was very happy for Ruthless€™ win and sorry that due to his back injury was unable to be there. The show kicked up a notch as the new entrance music for the new champ. This music is great andsure to catch on. Major props to Ruthless€™s friend Blair for putting down thetracks. Since Ruthless is now the Top Rope Radio champion, he€™s taking over and this show is now going to be €œRuthless Radio.€

    First caller is regular Little Luc,. Just as he goes to congratulate
    Ruthless€™ win, Bay Ragni interrupted to congratulate Little Luc onthe big little league World Series win. During this call, Luc puts on a guestin Larry€™s home, who he can€™t identify. Thus, causing him to get flustered.Turns out Larry€™s daughter was in from out of town visiting and Lucky Larry wasgetting rightfully ribbed because of that.

    Charles from the Krash Krew calls in and is of course upsetabout losing out on the tag title shot at Glenolden. Even more upset about themanager Cosmic Commander not being there. The fill-in, Joey F wasn€™t much help.He actually caused the loss. However Charles and Dr Ruthless go back and fortharguing and a challenge gets issued for a singles match. Stay Tuned!

    For more information including hearing matches announcedfirst for Autumn Armageddon stay tuned to top rope radio on 1540 am Sundaysfrom 5p-6p and also on Top Rope Radio.com.

    Check out ProWrestlingDaily.com for the LAW message forum to leave comments forpromoter Bay Ragni and learn more about LAW on tfhwrestling.com.

    After the radio show aired, the Liberty All-Star Wrestlingfamily learned of the passing of Dennis Coraluzzo. On behalf of myself, LAWpromoter Bay Ragni, his wife and everyone at LAW would like to pass along ourdeepest sympathies to the Coraluzzo family at this difficult time.

    LAW timekeeper Tom Misnik calls in to review the matchesfrom the Saturday shows. He also continues getting ribbed (and rightfully so)for his in-ring performance dancing with Maverick at Super Summer Sizzler. Thetape is available through www.toproperadio.com.

    IAN RETAINS TITLE AGAINST PUNK!!

    MAW NEWS FOR 07/23/01
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    by Stacy McMackin, Moderator
    --IAN ROTTEN PINS CM PUNK TO RETAIN MAW TITLE!!
    --DINO TO DEFEND DAIRYLAND TITLE ON 8/17 IN KENOSHA!!
    Mid American Wrestling returned to KP Classics in Big Bend, WI this past Saturday night, 7/21 for the 9th Annual "Summer Sizzler Spectacular." Here are your results...
    1. BUTCH McLAIN defeated BRAD BRADLEY via submission in the opening bout.
    2. "Double D's" FRANKIE DeFALCO & JASON DUKES (w/ Holly) retained the MAW Tag Team Titles against "Love Machine" MATT LONGTIME & FARMER VIC.
    3. ADRIAN SERRANO (w/ Holly) defeated DARKCHILD with an armbar submission in a shoot fighting attraction.
    4. IAN ROTTEN defeated THE NECRO BUTCHER (w/ DP & CM Punk) via pinfall in a Barbed Wire Board & Bed of Nails Match after Necro was face first on the bed of nails, and Ian chairshotted him in the back of the head. Post-match, Punk jumped Rotten from behind and the two had to be pulled apart by the entire locker room of wrestlers.
    5. CM PUNK (w/ DP) pinned THE SKULL KRUSHER after Prazak threw powder SK's eyes.
    6. DINO BAMBINO won a Three Way Tables Match against "Classic" COLT CABANA and "Dysfunction" KURT KRUEGER. The first fall went to Bambino. Dys had set Cabana on a table, and climbed to the top rope, but Dino cut him off with a kick to the head, launched Dys onto Cabana, with Kurt hitting him with a legdrop, but the table didn't break! Dino then picked up Colt and gave him a sit out powerbomb off the ring apron to the floor through the table. Bambino then won the second fall as he put Dys through another table with a Michinoku
    Driver.
    7. IAN ROTTEN pinned CM PUNK (w/ DP) to retain the MAW World HeavyweightChampionship. Several times throughout the bout, Rotten went to chairshot Punk, but was unable to do so, both due to Prazak's interference, as well as Punk's quickness. In the latter moments of the match, Punk worked on Ian's leg, and applied the figure four leglock several times, but Ian would not submit. The match concluded when Punk attempted to apply the figure four yet again, but Rotten rolled him into an inside cradle for the three count. Post-match, Prazak and Punk declared that it was a fluke pinfall, and insisted Punk could defeat him in a rematch. It was agreed to that Rotten and
    Punk would do battle at the next KP Classics card (the night before Labor Day, 9/2) in a Texas Death Match, where you must pin your opponent, yet they must also not be able to make it back to their feet following the pinfall.
    -------------------------------------
    Former IPW Lightheavyweight Champion Seijin Akki and Snack Pack member Von Tankard both suffered major and minor injuries this weekend at separate wrestling shows in the Orlando area.
    Akki suffered a severe broken right ankle and a torn ligament during his match with former IPW World Heavyweight Champion "Marvelous" Mike Sullivan at SECW in Sanford. The horrendous injury occurred after Akki's somersault plancha to the outside of the ring onto Sullivan. Amazingly, Akki was able to get back into the ring and finish his match until stumbling back to the dressing room. He is scheduled to be out of action at least three to six months, meaning his scheduled IPW Lightheavyweight Title rematch with "Miami Pound Machine" Rod Steel at the August 21st NWA Florida show will not occur.
    Von Tankard suffered a a back injury (The exact injury has not yet been determined) last night at HVW in Kissimmee during his hardcore match with Spanky Malone and Wade O'Really. While getting out of ring, Tankard noticed a stiff pain in his lower back. He needed assistance to get to the dressing room. Due to the injury, he missed his scheduled tag team match at NBPW tonight. Tankard is much luckier than Akki however, as his injury will only put him out a week, as he makes his return in a mixed tag team at IPW "Reign in Blood" this Saturday Night in St. Petersburg.
    IPW World Heavyweight Champion "Black Nature Boy" Scoot Andrews is suffering from a broken hand that he suffered in the finals of the Super Junior Open July 10th. However he is wrestling on all the shows he's booked on, and is still scheduled to defend his IPW World Title this Saturday at the Florida Wrestleplex in St. Petersburg against "The Incredible Bulk" Mike Shane
    A get well goes out to all three men!
    Match 6-TCW World Heavyweight Champion Barry Windham defeated CW Anderson by pinfall to retain the title
    Match 7-"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes defeated "Big" Ron Studd by disqualification after CW Anderson interfered. After the match several TCW superstars tried to save the former three time world champion, but failed to do so, until the Dreams' son Dustin Rhodes ran down and cleared house, until a brutal chair shot by Studd busted him open. After a near riot, a challenged was issued by CW Anderson for an Anderson/Studd versus Rhodes Family tag team main event August 25th when TCW returns to the venue.
