    - Last week, we reported several details on Main Event Championship Wrestling (MECW). One of which was MECW's television deal. At the time, it was reported that John Collins, owner and promoter of MECW, signed deals with four television networks to air their program. One of those "confirmed" networks was Florida's The Sunshine Network. Since that announcement, Sunshine Network representatives have denied agreeing to air any sort of wrestling program. Mike Roache, Director of Marketing for the network claimed that "We've never even heard of the guy", in reference to Collins.

Roache went on to say that the network has no plans of adding professional wrestling to their programming schedule but should things change, the show would get ECW Hardcore TV's old timeslot of 11:00 PM to midnight EST on Friday nights. However, it is unlikely that MECW will air on the network due to the fact that The Sunshine Network is very cautious about airing a wrestling program due to problems with ECW over payment. However, some are saying that the reason The Sunshine Network is denying any sort of deal with MECW is because until it's announced, it's not a done deal.

    - In a related note, MECW does not have a television deal in the Philadelphia area either, despite what was previously announced. The promotion is currently negotiating with UPN 57, UPN's Philadelphia affiliate and Channel 48. Channel 48 might seem like the more likely of the two to get MECW TV due to the fact that they currently air CZW TV, WWF Metal/Jakked and used to air ECW programming, proving that they are a wrestling-friendly network.

    - As of a few days ago, neither Terry Taylor nor Buff Bagwell had signed with MECW. However, Bagwell is slated to appear at their August 11th show at the ECW Arena where he is being booked to take on Curt Hennig for the MECW Heavyweight title. Also booked for that very show is The Sandman vs. Sabu. Plans are to make the show a blowout event.

    - MECW also plans on putting up an official website within the next week or two.

    - Those interested in contacting MECW may do so by calling (618) 943-2653 or (618) 943-5080.

    - Earlier today, we reported that former NWA promoter, Dennis Coralluzzo passed away. Late last night, Coralluzzo developed bleeding to the brain and because of that, slipped into a coma. The decision was then made to take Coralluzzo off life support after it was determined that he was brain dead. Coralluzzo did undergo bypass surgery a few months ago but it had nothing to do with his death. Coralluzzo was 48.

    - Kurt Angle suffered a groin pull at Saturday's house show in Syracuse, New York which was why his planned singles match at last night's show in Wilkes-Barre was turned into a tag match. Obviously, the injury isn't very serious if Angle was able to participate in the house show.

    - The Rock is scheduled to be regularly featured on all of the WWF television programs from this point forward.

    - The current plan is for Paul Heyman to return as an announcer alongside Jim Ross for tonight.

    - There is also a chance that Tazz will return as a Smackdown announcer with Michael Cole tomorrow.

    - The Iron Shiek will be doing a stand-up comedy routine at Caroline's in New York City tonight.

    - Mick Foley will be appearing at Harley Race's wrestling show on Wednesday night in Springfield, Missouri at the Ozark Empire Fair. Foley will referee a match with the Harris brothers. Curt Hennig vs. Butch Reed will headline the event.
