    - It was originally reported that Hulk Hogan's deal with Universal about a proposed wrestling promotion was off but now, it appears that the deal isn't dead but just delayed. The planned August 8th television taping is definitely off but reportedly, Hogan is planning to begin the promotion in the fall. Hogan's thinking is that since there is no official deal in place, there is no need to rush into things.

    - Earlier, we reported that John Collins is going to be MECW's owner and promoter. However, not much about Collins was revealed at that time. Collis is a lawyer out of Indiana who runs an arbitration firm. The plan for the promotion is to have television tapings and house shows to take place both around the Indiana area and nationally as well, hopefully by the fall.

    - Steve Austin is expected to resume a full house show schedule by mid-August. As you all know, Austin has been suffering from hand and back injuries, both suffered at last month's King of the Ring and aggravated soon after.
