Before we start off, I want to thank everyone who helped me with my virus problem yesterday. I was overwhelmed at the amount of people who sent in solutions. Thank you!

Just a quick reminder that we will be doing live coverage of the Invasion PPV tomorrow night starting at 8PM ET. If you are not ordering the PPV be sure to visit the site during that time frame for match by match results.

    Robert Fallon sent this in

During Livewire this morning they ran a commercial for RAW saying that after invasion their will be a new era. Behind the RAW and TNN logo's the wCw logo was flashing! Jonathan Coachman also said the WWF has to win this or RAW will be a totally different show. The winners will lead this business and the losers will have nowhere else to turn. Coach says Austin did find Debra a couple blocks from the arena, unharmed but shaken up! Gund Arena is sold out for InVasion. The only matches they hyped were the Inaugural Brawl & the Bra & Panties Match.

WCW.com has opened up an ECW site - http://www.wcw.com/ecwsite/index.html

    ---------------

Diamond Dallas Page was on the Ron & Fez show in New York today on 102.7 WNEW (I get it at 3am in Boston), here's my recap:

They play his old Nirvana "Smells like Teen Spirit" theme music & introduce him. He says loves living in Atlanta because it's easier to travel & would never live on the coast while he's a wrestler. They ask if he's been a WWF fan, he says he's been watching the WWF since it was the WWWF! He talks about meeting Vince McMahon for the first time at Titan Towers, Vince goes to shake Page's hand and Page says he's been waiting his whole life to meet him & gave him a hug.

They start talking about the InVasion, Page loves that ECW is being involved. He mentions the XFL and how Vince was trying to get people who wanted to play the game & not big contracts, kinda like how ECW was. Page is really excited and talking more than Ron and Fez and even starting his own topics. He said it was huge for him to be the first wCw wrestler to step foot in Madison Square Garden. To a lot of WWF fans he's a new face to them.

He talks about the wCw/WWF ratings war & how Nitro and RAW being so tight made the WWF get better and thus lead to record ratings. They ask if wCw is getting it's own show, Page doesn't know and says theirs no set plan to a lot of things and fans dictate some of the angle twists. Page loved the ECW swerves and the Shane/Page swerve on The Undertaker. Ron says Page is always taking peoples wives, Page says Debra is ok and out of the trunk. The hosts thank him and call him a survivor. Page said when he learned of the WWF buying wCw he knew he had to be part of it.

Page brings up the Bra and Panties Match, Kimberly will not be involved and is enjoying her new horse Page bought her as a Christmas present. Ron and Fez promote InVasion and DDP leaves the show.

There is an article on Chyna in the July 31 issue of Star Magazine, I typed it out:

    Chyna: My Love Triangle
Wrestling queen tells Star of her romance heartache
    Written by: Carole Glines
Typed Out by: Robert M. Fallon

(Their are two photos in this article, one of Chyna with Triple H and one with Stephanie with Triple H)

Former World Wrestling Federation star Chyna has been smacked down by a shocking love triangle! In an exclusive Star interview, the brawny fighter admits she was devastated when her wrestling co-star and boyfriend Triple H left her for WWF owner Vince McMahon's daughter Stephanie, who helps her megarich dad run the organization.

"I'm being honest - Stephanie broke up our relationship and it hurt me very much," confides Chyna, who's real name is Joanie Laurer. "I have to deal with that." The tough gal, who recently split from the WWF, says she and Triple H - real name Paul Levesque - were in a five-year live-in relationship until sexy Stephanie, 24 started playing his wife in a WWF scenario.

"I was suspicious that they were having an affair," reveals Chyna, 30. "I confronted them and they admitted it." But the confrontation didn't turn into a violent showdown because, in real life, Chyna insists she's far softer than her WWF character. Although she was shattered by the news, "it wasn't a heated thing because that's my personality," the Playboy covergirl says with a shrug. "Of course it hurt and made me feel terrible. I'm a human being. But once I knew what was happening, I moved on."

Chyna admits she had hoped to walk down the aisle with hunky Triple H, 32, who stands a towering 6-foot-5. "I very much thought he was going to be the man I was going to marry," she sighs. "We were with each other every day, 24 hours a day. Everything we did revolved around wrestling. I think I grew and wanted different things, and it caused problems. And as I grew, there was Stephanie McMahon!"

"It doesn't surprise me in retrospect that they hooked up, because Paul is a guy who lived, ate and breathed wrestling, and who else did I think he would be with but Stephanie McMahon?" The statuesque wrestler claims her split from Triple H didn't have anything to do with her recent break from the WWF. Chyna, who stands 6 feet tall and can bench press 300 pounds, says Vince McMahon simply made her an offer she COULD refuse.

"We couldn't come to an agreement and they gave me my release. In my opinion, they didn't offer me enough money," says the only lady warrior to convincingly battle men on TV. However, Chyna says, "I'm grateful to Vince for giving me the opportunity to be with the WWF, It made me a star."

"The best part of it all was performing. Fans screaming my name gives me goosebumps." Chyna says she started a new website http://bodybyjoanie.com and plans personal appearances and other TV work, including guest role on Pamela Anderson's show V.I.P. She also wouldn't mind doing another Playboy shoot. Her cover was the No.1 best-seller the girlie magazine ever had, selling 1.3 million copies.

And despite her heartache, Chyna hasn't completely given up on romance, either. "I'm dating again but I'm cautious," she says. "Right now, I'm taking some time to relax at my Los Angeles apartment and house in New Hampshire. "I've lived on the road for the last six years, so it's the first time I've put my underwear in the drawer. It feels wonderful!"

Jeff The Ref sent this in

The following is a recap of an interview with Disco Inferno, which was conducted by Jeff "The Ref" Kohl of Live Audio Wrestling (The LAW) on July 20, 2001.

The interview is presently available to LISTEN to in it’s entirety in Real Audio at www.JeffTheRef.com along with other past interviews conducted by JTR with Chris Jericho, Diamond Dallas Page, Buff Bagwell, Sid Vicious, Jerry Lawler, Tommy Dreamer, Road Dogg, Mike Awesome, William Regal, Rhino, Lance Storm, Matt Hardy, as well as many others!

Prior to the sale, could he have ever envisioned the day that World Championship Wrestling would be sold to Vince McMahon?

    - He never knew that the company would be sold to Vince, but knew that the company was going down the tubes for a number of years. It was just a matter of time.

How did he feel when he first heard the news for the very first time of WCW being sold to the WWF?

    - He was thinking that it was awesome because they would know what to do with the company.

    - At first, everybody assumed that the entire company was being bought and nobody realized all of the contract situations that would occur.

    - Everybody thought that they were going to just basically come in and take it over, which would have been phenomenal.

Does he feel that the sale is a positive for the industry?

    - Yes, because WCW was losing around $60 million per year, so obviously nobody was going to be able to negotiate a decent contract with them.

    - He says that what’s its done is it has made Vince the only company to work for, but at the same time, it has opened up the potential for other things that we haven’t had for a while.

    - For the longest time, Disco says that it’s been a 2 or maybe 3 company universe in wrestling unless you want to go work in Japan, but now we’re hearing about a lot of big names that are looking to start up their own promotions, so we could be seeing a change in the face of wrestling.

Was he in attendance for the very last NITRO ever on TNT?

    - Yes he was. He actually worked a dark match.

Who did he work with that night?

    - Himself and Sanders against Hugh Morrus and Lash LeRoux.

Can he recall what the general vibe was backstage among the boys that night?

    - It was very positive once everybody saw Shane there.

    - He kind of stayed in the internet room the whole time with Jeremy Borash, Bob Ryder and Jeff Jarrett cause they had both shows on.

    - It was funny because he was watching Vince totally buried Jarrett and he was sitting right next to Jarrett at the time. Disco says that he had a very interesting look on his face which was pretty funny.

Has he himself had any talks of coming in to work for the new WCW as of yet?

    - Not as of yet.

    - To be honest, he’s really not even interested in going there right now.

    - He just started working on the independents again.

    - He says that he was hurt for a while (his back and his knee). When he got back into the ring on the independents, he realized that he was a step slow. He doesn’t want to embarrass himself, so he’ll be working the independents for a while before he considers going back to the big time.

How’s his health now a days?

    - Excellent. He says that he’s in the best shape that he’s been in a long time or actually in his entire life.

JTR comments on how he met up with Disco at an indy show in Toronto a few weeks back and says how he looked to be in great shape considering the fact that we haven’t seen him on television for quite some time...

    - Disco says that the time at home is great because it helps him eat right and train on a regular schedule, which is the most important part.

What’s the transition been like for him, having gone from working for WCW to working on the independents?

    - It’s different because you don’t know anybody in the locker rooms, but it’s good because you also don’t have to get there six hours before hand.

    - He compares it to working on house shows, which he says are pretty fun to do.

    - Disco says that he likes it better than the pressure of TV and all the BS at the end in WCW. He says that it’s definitely a better atmosphere to be in.

If there’s any promoters out there that are looking to get in contact with him, how can they go about doing so?

    - They can contact WCWjborash@aol.com

    - He does his bookings through Jeremy Borash because he’s a friend of his and he’s out of work at this time.

Is there any one particular moment that he would pin-point from his time in WCW as his most memorable?

    - He enjoyed the reaction that he got when he was doing the Wolfpac gimmick with Scott Hall.

    - He speaks highly of being in the middle of the ring when Kevin Nash defeated Goldberg and there was a huge pop. That’s the one thing he specifically remembers more than anything.

How close was he with Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo?

    - He was not close with Eric at all, as he was always in and out, in and out. They had more of a professional relationship.

    - Says that he got to know Vince pretty well from booking with him.

Did he ever have any creative conflicts with Vince or Eric when he was involved in the booking meetings?

    - All the time. That’s generally what a booking meeting is.

    - There are creative conflicts as everybody’s giving their opinions, and sometimes everybody’s on the same page and you work from there, but a lot of times, people just disagree.

    - His main disagreement’s came from the fact that he was very new-school.

    - He always thought that the shows should be funnier than it was and that sometimes they got to serious.

    - He wanted the shows to be funnier because on Monday nights, your competition is Hollywood, and Hollywood is putting out a bunch of sitcoms.

    - He says that on Monday nights, people apparently want to laugh, so you can’t put out a 2-hour serious show.

    - Disco says that you need to have comedy in there somewhere, and that it’s a necessary thing to have on any show. How much of it that you have though is what varies, but it needs to be in there somewhere.

What was the booking experience like for him, being a booker and one of the boys on the roster at the exact same time?

    - Other wrestlers had done it too at the same time, like Kevin Nash, Kevin Sullivan, and Ric Flair, but the difference was that they were in charge, and he was just on the booking committee.

    - He says that it was a pain in the ass because he had to always train, his body was always tired, he’d come back from TV, go straight in to book in the mornings.

    - In retrospect, there’s no way that he’d do both again. He’d like to do either one or the other.

I recieved in the mail a letter from "The Danbury Ink" and the "World
Wrestling Federation" about the new WWF Collectible Steins. They are
basically mugs or cups with WWF Superstars photos on them. They sell for
15.95 each. It says they will not be sold in stores and that you have to
    send for them.

Below is a photo of four of the mugs. They include The Rock, Stone Cold, Kane, and Chyna.

Joey Styles has his own 900 hotline going right now where is supposedly shooting on the wrestling business. Those wanting to call the number it is 900 786 4329.
