Rod and Brent send us to break. Part 2 Rod and Brent welcome us back and announce Kid Kash has joined the show on the phone. Kash says that he talked to a few people from the WWF and there are no openings right now but it’s really up in the air as to whether he will work there or not. Kid Kash then says that he has been in contact with Hulk Hogan’s promotion as well. Kid Kash says he is officially booked for August 8th with Hogan’s promotion. Kash says that he is not sure who else is booked but he has heard rumors of Rena Mero (Sable) being there. Kash says that Hogan is bringing in wrestlers from Mexico and Japan and he thinks that once the promotion gets started it is going to be a pretty good deal. Kash said that Ricky Morton and Tim Horner trained him. Kash said that while he was in ECW he enjoyed working with RVD (Rob Van Dam), C.W. Anderson and EZ Money. Kash said that his match with EZ Money in WCW was just another day at the office because he has worked with EZ since 1992-93. Kash said that he noticed EZ Money’s attitude changing since he signed with WCW as well and he feels he was disrespected by EZ during their match with the WCW. Brent and Kash talk about some of the moves Kash used in ECW, including the suicide dive locker room incident. Kid Kash says that RVD was the one who got him into ECW. Kash says that Paul Heyman and Tommy Dreamer came up with his character. Brent and Kash joke about his strong resemblance to Kid Rock. Kash says that he was actually pretty good friends with Joe C. when he was alive. Kash says that he watched Monday night and he was shocked and impressed by the ECW angle and he said he felt proud because ECW got a bigger pop than anyone did down in Atlanta. Kash said he wished he could’ve been there. Kid Kash stated that he has not talked to Paul Heyman since right before his WCW tryout match in Knoxville, TN to get his release from ECW. Kash said that he would be in Northwestern Arkansas for some Indy shows on July 27,28 and 29. Kash says that he stays in close touch with Ricky Morton. Kid Kash thanks Rod and Brent for having him on and then signs off. HHH music hits as we go to break. Part 3 Rod welcomes everyone back and Korbid Thompson calls in and discusses the Mets with Rod. Korbid discusses the ECW angle with Rod and Brent. Korbid and Rod talk about how Vince has a few select guys that he likes to push and that’s gonna hurt him in the long run. Rod talks about how it’s gonna be huge when all of the injured WWF stars come back. Rod, Brent and Korbid talk about why the WCW invasion didn’t work. Rod and Brent talk about where the WWF should put the WCW shows. Korbid says congrats to Brent and then signs off. Rod and Brent send us to break. Part 4 Rod and Brent welcome us back and inform us that Jason Powell is on the line. Jason says that the WWF is booking on the fly right now. Powell says that the ECW angle was put together 3 days before the show. Jason Powell said that Heyman is giving credit to Vince McMahon for the idea. Powell said that the ECW angle was an idea that the WWF came up with to help put over the WCW invasion because of how poorly it was accepted. Jason thinks that the WCW name should be dropped because all of the wrestlers they have right now people don’t associate with WCW. He believes that once they get a Scott Steiner or a Jeff Jarrett they can bring back the WCW name down the road. Jason says all they have right now is DDP. Powell says that Steiner has a foot injury and is still under contract but the WWF is interested in him, Jeff Jarrett is not wanted by the WWF but Powell feels they will eventually pick him up and Goldberg is still under contract with AOL Time Warner. Jason said that the ECW angle was the WWF’s last ditch effort to save WCW before they have to go out and sign all the big name, expensive guys like Kevin Nash and Ric Flair. Powell said Sting and Nash are still under AOL contracts and that Sting is telling everyone he is retired. Jason said Scott Hall was contacted by the WWF and he acted immaturely on the phone with Shane McMahon, so the deal is off. Powell said that Chyna got a big head from the Playboy deal and she was asking for the kind of money brought in by Stone Cold and HHH. Rod and Jason discuss Lita. Powell thinks that the Stephanie buying ECW angle was rushed and unnecessary. Rod, Brent and Jason talks about how the McMahons have been pushing themselves too hard lately and need to get off TV. Jason doesn’t think that anymore ECW guys will be signed for awhile, if at all. Powell talks about the recent dark match between the FBI and Danny Doring and Roadkill and how the WWF was not happy with this match because they went ECW spot heavy. Jason said that the FBI would probably get in eventually, but not right now. Powell said that the WWF is already sour on RVD because he missed 2 big kicks on TV and Powell says they are concerned because he hurts a lot of people. Powell said that the WWF is very happy with Spike Dudley and Tajiri. Jason says that he doesn’t know if Hogan or Bischoff could pull off a successful wrestling business that would compete with the WWF. Jason says that Buff Bagwell was fired for many reasons. He started by walking past Stephanie McMahon backstage and ignoring her, after saying hello to one of the wrestlers she was talking to on his first night with the company. He also got into a fight with Shane Helms at the WWF training center and then he was complaining that Big Show had a Limo in his contract and that he should have one. Buff was late for many training appearances and he had his mother calling the WWF offices with many ridiculous requests. Powell said that Buff is "Immature and is never going to grow up." Jason said that he would be surprised if Buff finds a lot of Indy work, because he is going to want a ton of money and he is not a big draw. Jason said that the Monday night show is still up in the air on whether it will go to WCW or not. Powell said that originally after Invasion, Vince and Shane were going to do a draft where they picked wrestlers one by one to be in their federation. Those ideas were scrapped because ECW worked out well and it would be pointless to have two companies when the rivalry is taken away. Powell believes the WWF would be stupid not too split the WCW and WWF up and try to do two shows. Powell said Dean Malenko and Al Snow were auditioned for the color commentator spot. Al Snow is friends with Kevin Dunn, who makes those decisions, so Powell feels Al Snow will get the job. Jason said that if they split up into two shows (WWF and WCW) he feels that Michael Cole and Paul Heyman will do one show and Jim Ross and Al Snow/Jerry Lawler will do the other. Powell said that the WWF auditioned Joey Styles for the color commentator spot and they liked him, so they ignored Scott Hudson and Hudson decided to take a full time job with the FBI, Styles decided not to take the job with the WWF for some reason. This left the commentator spot open. Joel Gertner was told by Paul Heyman to be patient and he would try to get him in. Gertner didn’t take Heyman’s advice and tried to get in through Bruce Pritchard. So next time Gertner calls Heyman to get him in the WWF, Heyman will tell him that it’s Bruce Pritchard’s job now. Powell thinks Gertner is still a good candidate because he lives so close to Titan Towers (Easy to do voice over work) and that is why Tazz got the announcer job before. Powell said that Chris Benoit will be out 6 months to a year, but probably closer to 6 months. Jason said that HHH is in good spirits and is still a big man backstage. Powell said he is going to look into the Sid Vicious injury. Jason says he likes Tazz to be the first ECW guy to get to main event status, but he doesn’t think they will go with him because Vince doesn’t like his attitude or his size. Also, Lance Storm is another candidate whose size could hold him back. Powell thinks the WWF will go with Mike Awesome, but he says they will find out just how clumsy he really is. Jason plugs his web site www.prowrestlingtorch.com and then he signs off. Rod and Brent send us to break. Part 5 Rod and Brent welcome us back and inform us that BJ Bethel is on the line. Rod and BJ discuss the ECW angle and the McMahons still being on TV, even though they have a giant roster. BJ says congrats to Brent and then signs off. Mark calls in to discuss the Providence Raw Preview with Brent and Rod. Mark signs off. Rod and Brent thank everyone for listening and wrap up an excellent show and then sign off.
