- Steve Austin may return to active competition at next week's television but whatever the case may be, he will most likely return before Kurt Angle does. - Monday's Raw at Madison Square Garden drew a crowd of 13,763 paid for a gate of $451,138. Last night's Smackdown at the same venue drew 11,772 paid for a gate of $393,190. Both events were officially billed as sellouts. - Jerry Lawler and WWF officials continue to deny that Lawler has signed a contract to return to the WWF. However, there is an overwhelming belief that Lawler will return on WWF television this summer but perhaps not before the WCW relaunch. - Reportedly, Jim Ross is open to working as a commentator for either WWF Smackdown on Thursdays or "WCW Raw" on Mondays but prefers working with Jerry Lawler (who will most likely work for WCW should he return) rather than Paul Heyman. They may play an angle where Ross and Lawler would defect to WCW for the shabby treatment shown by Vince McMahon towards Lawler and his wife, The Kat. - The new official release date for The Rock's next movie, The Scorpion King, is now April 19th, 2002.
