- At this Sunday's WWF house show in Spokane, Washington, two WCW championships will be defended. Booker T will take on Buff Bagwell for the WCW World title and Shane Helms will wrestle Chavo Guerrero Jr. for the WCW Cruiserweight title. Look for a full card posted Friday morning. - Last week's episode of WWF Smackdown! finished at the 70th highest rated primetime network program for the week of June 18-25 according to Neilsen Media Research. Smackdown finished tied with FOX's "Boston Public". A total of 134 programs were rated. Credit: Yahoo! News Matt Geer sent in the following: V8, a new dutch network, starts airing RAW on fridays at 8:30pm it's an edited 1 hour version. This is great news in Europe since it's the first covering of WWF television here, and since German networks took off WWF it's the only wrestling now watchable for people who don't own digital satellites. John Brodigan sent in the following: >From the first moment Shannon Ward appeared on World Championship Wrestling (WCW) programming, wrestling fans fell in love with her character Daffney. This gothic princess was originally signed on for a short one-month stint but was quickly signed on for the long term due to the overwhelming crowd response she received. She started off as David Flair's stalker and the two found a kindred spirit in another WCW newcomer Crowbar. She credits much of her ability to Crowbar, who's training helped her develop an impressive, high-flying arsenal and led her to the WCW Cruiserweight Title. Even after being released from WCW she decided to stick with wrestling and works with Dusty Rhodes's Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling (TCW).
