    1) Stampede Returns To Calgary... Alberta, Canada!
    ==========================================

The 4th and final leg of the Mid-Summer's Nightmare tour from Stampede
Wrestling yielded several surprising developments in Drumheller, Alberta
    Canada.

For one, the show started with Lance Storm and Chris Daniels doing an angle,
which resulted in their match running first. Storm, who the WWF originally
wanted on the East Coast to appear at the King of the Ring PPV, needed to
catch a red-eye back to New York. He's expected to be on WWF television this
week. Storm vs. Daniels was a terrific bout as always, though fans on the
Stampede Message Boards are placing their match in Medicine Hat as the best
    of the series.

In the main event, Mike Modest fought Bruce Hart for the vacant Pacific
Heavyweight Championship. Modest went over, meaning that he leaves for
California with the top international title in Canada. The development truly
shows that anything can happen in this business, not to mention in Stampede
Wrestling. Modest has tentatively agreed to return to Calgary this fall, but
dates have yet to be set. In the meantime, Modest performed for Japanese
legend Mitsuharu Misawa last month, and speculation has it that the meeting
will result in "The Natural One" competing for NOAH in Japan in the near
future. If so, it must be assumed that Modest will be wrestling as the
Pacific Champion, and it leaves the door open to title defenses against top
stars all over the world. In the mean time, Modest returns home to
California with not just the APW Heavyweight Title intact, but the Pacific
Heavyweight Championship as well. It's certainly a tremendously exciting
time for both Modest and Stampede Wrestling.

    ==========================================
    2) Results for Mid-Summer's Nightmare: Calgary Leg
    ==========================================

    - Live from the Memorial Arena, Drumheller, before 107 paid fans.

    - "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and "The Natural One" Mike Modest
stormed the ring right from the start to cut a heel promo. Lance Storm soon
arrived on the scene and demanded his match with Daniels take place
immediately. The pair fought back and forth for ten minutes before Storm
scored the superkick for the victory.

    - The Man They Hail Ali defeated Monterrey Jack Johnson in a short bout with
his running Diamond Cutter finisher. The 300lb Johnson was impressive, and
was quick to save what was nearly a blown spot by turning a bodyslam into an
    inverted side suplex.

    - In the Matrats special feature, Mr. Right and T.J. Wilson defeated Jack
Evans and Markie Starr. T.J. took heat most of the match. Evans showed off
his usual array of death-defying highspots, including the suspended senton
    bomb.

    - Apocalypse finished off the tour in impressive fashion with a victory over
The Orderly and "Crazy Horse" Eddie Mustang in an elimination Bermuda
Triangle match. The bout was full of near-falls until the Rock 'n' Roll drop
put Orderly away courtesy of Eddie Mustang. Minutes later, Orderly repeated
his shenanigans of last night by helping Apocalypse turn the tide, this time
by holding his legs in place while Mustang attempted a superplex. Mustang
fell back to the mat off the second rope, leaving Apocalypse the window to
score with a beautiful cross body block for the victory.

    - Dave Swift and martial arts expert Kirk Melnyk defeated the Honor Roll
team of Rico Barzini and hometown boy Dyno-Mike, accompanied by Anna Conda.
The more experienced Swift and Melnyk controlled the match from the outset,
as Rico bumped around like a pinball. One of the lesser-publicized stories
of this tour is Rico, real name Devon Caouette, has developed into a solid
worker with limitless potential over the course of just four months. Heel
false taggery abounds (Keith), but the babyfaces come back and Swift scores
the win with a blockbuster off the top turnbuckle.

    - Bruce Hart fought Mike Modest, not for the North American Title but the
Pacific Heavyweight Championship. This match was originally set to be a
fatal four-way, possibly with Storm and Daniels included, but Storm's WWF
commitments meant he had to bow out early in the show. Bruce dominated the
action up until the half way mark, when Modest used heel tactics to take
over. One ref bump later - and a convincing one for once in this business -
The "Fallen Angel" slugged Hart with brass knucks and Modest picked up both
the pinfall victory, and the Pacific Championship. We'll have pictures of
the new champion with his title up later today on StampedeWrestling.com

    Top Rope Championship Wrestling News

    We Like It On Top!

    June 26th, 2001

    TRCW makes national headlines!

Bobby Jay was featured in the Winnipeg Sun on page 2 in a full page article
on Tuesday, June 26th for offering Canadian Alliance Leader Stockwell Day
and his unhappy cabinet members a chance to settle their differences in a
battle royal at a TRCW show. TRCW has already received dozens of e mails
regarding the article, which is also featured as the headline story on Slam
Wrestling. TRCW is definitely the most talked about promotion in the
territory, with coverage in the community and local newspapers, on 92 citi
fm as well as CJOB, on a local cable access station, as well as on message
boards on their web site (as well the other promotion's web sites) No other
promotion has received this kind of coverage, as TRCW is head and shoulders
    above the competition.

Wet T Shirt Contest spoiled by Parys, Bobby Jay makes amends

On June 21st at The Palladium, Chris Parys had his own version of a Wet T
Shirt Contest, bringing out male wrestlers, and the male fans in the crowd
were hot, expecting to see some T & A, The crowd overwhelmingly picked The
Big O as the winner, but Parys was the final judge and awarded it the
contest to Vance Nevada. Bobby Jay came out and said he had a big surprise,
and the 341 lb monster The Axe came through the crowd to the ring and
speared Nevada and Parys. Jay then announced the would be a Legitimate Wet T
Shirt Contest on Thursday, July 19th. He then said that he brought out the
mucle (The Axe) and now it was time for The Babe, and out came Kimora, who
took it all off for the crazy crowd.

Wet T Shirt Contest set for July 19th

Bobby Jay, majority owner of TRCW, announce a legitimate Wet T shirt contest
will be held on July 19th at The Palladium. TRCW Official are scoting other
W T Shirt contests for contestants. If you want to enter, call 228-0707 for
details, as it is free to enter, and the prize money is as follows: 1st-
    $150.00, 2nd $100.00, 3rd $50.00 . The prelims will be at 9:30 with the
finals immediately following the wrestling portion of the show (approx.
11:30) We are doing the finals after the wrestling, as we have many female
fans who attend our shows that may not want to see this, so they can still
see great TRCW without the T & A. If the feedback is great, we may have a
male stripper after one of our shows as well. (PLEASE NOTE: this is an adult
only venue, at our Chalmers or any other all ages shows you will NEVER see
anything of this nature as those shows are directed towards children, and a
    family oriented theme is used)

Shane Madison challnge by TJ Bratt

Shane Madison was challenged by TJ Bratt for a match at The Palladium on
June 28th. Madison said he would think about it, so we will have to see
    Thursday.

    Injury Bug

Injuries have plagued TRCW of late with their hectic schedule. The Tulip and
Chris Stevens have separated shoulders, Brian Jewel has a hairline crack in
his kneecap, The Big O has a sore knee, and Ronnie Attitude has a recurring
    back problem.

    Another debut at The Palladium

A well established Winnipeg wrestler will make his Palladium debut on
Thursday, July 4th. His debut will shock many local wrestling insiders, as
TRCW always keeps their shows fresh.

    TRCW Rumblings

Ticket Sales for the big Canada Day Show in Lac Du Bonnet are going at a
very quick pace. Tickets $8.00 for general admission with kids 14 & under
only $5.00 available at Dancy's Foods or Tangle Ridge Gas Bar in Lac Du
Bonnet, Papertown Moter Inn in Pine Falls or at Pinawa Esso. TRCW, Brandon's
favorite wrestling promotion returns to the Keystone Center on July 6th at
7:30 PM with free admission. Look for many more established wrestlers to
surface in TRCW, Manitoba's #1 wrestling promotion.

    IWA MID-SOUTH NEWS FOR 6/25/01
    ----------------------------------------------
    by Stacy McMackin, Moderator

    --NEXT CARD THIS TUESDAY NIGHT!!
    --SABU TO RETURN SATURDAY 6/30!!
--CORINO, MEANIE, JASMIN TO APPEAR 7/7!!

IWA Mid-South Hardcore Wrestling returned to the House of Hardcore in the
township of Charlestown, IN this past Saturday night, 6/23. Many thanks to
the larger than usual crowd for turning out for a regular Saturday night
card! Here is what went down...

Before the show officially started, James Fannin came out as Ian was making
his announcements wanting to be reinstated. Ian stated he would have to
apologize to a fan named Michael for his actions against him a couple weeks
ago. Fannin apologized to the fan, but then proceeded to mention several
people that he should have done that to instead. Ian then stated he needed to
get on his knees and apologize to the fan AND his mother. Fannin refused and
Ian stated that he would not be reinstated until he did so.

    1. CM Punk (w/ Dave Prazak) defeated Richard X (w/ Uncle Honkey) with the
pedigree off the top rope to retain the IWA Mid-South Light Heavyweight
Title. Earlier in the match, Richard thought he had won the match when he
used the ropes for leverage but was caught by referee Brent Blades.

    2. Bull Pain defeated Adrian Serrano with a rollup. Serrano attacked Bull
after the match with the ankle lock and refused to let go of the move until
    the save was made.

    3. Rugby Thug Trent Baker defeated Classic Colt Cabana when Dave Prazak and
CM Punk turned on Cabana allowing Baker to capitalize and score the victory
to retain the IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Title.

    4. Chris Hero and CM Punk (w/Dave Prazak and Breeze) defeated Suicide Kid and
Tarek The Great with Mark Wolf as special referee when Punk scored the pin on
Kid following the top rope pedigree.

    5. Necro Butcher defeated Cash Flo to become the number one contender for the
    IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Title.

Before the main event Ian Rotten, the special referee for the match, was
making his way to ringside and was attacked by Chris Hero, CM Punk and Dave
Prazak taking him out of the match to be replaced by Brent Blades.

    6. The main event saw Corporal Robinson and 2 Tuff Tony defeat Mad Man Pondo
and Hido (w/Short Dog) in a falls count anywhere match. Pondo pinned Corporal
in the ring while Tony pinned Hido outside the ring near the outside doorway
courtesy of special ref Ian Rotten. Pondo claimed that he won the match as
Brent counted the three in the ring, but Ian stated that because he was the
original ref that the victory stood for Corporal and Tony.

    Global Championship Wrestling
    6/23/01
    Columbiana Skating Rink
    Columbiana Alabama

Fresh off the heels of the exciting Childersburg Show last week, GCW
rolled into Columbiana with an exciting night of wrestling action and a
laundry list of injuries. The show opened with John Johnson and an
injured Professor 2 introducing, Robert Kauffman, a high profile member
of the GCW Board of Directors. Mr. Kauffman called out all the officials
and admonished each and every one of them. He then proceeded
to call out Mad Dog Dan Sawyer, who he suspended for hitting an official
the previous week. Then the shocker of the evening, Mr. Kauffman turned
his attention to Izzie Kowanawitz. Mr. Kauffman then revealed to the
crowd after a background check in April, there was no such person as
Izzie Kowanawitz. The corrupt official was indeed just that, it was
revealed that his real name was Theodore Tutwhiler the 3rd, and as of
that moment was unemployed. This set Theodore off, and he tried to
attack Mr. Kauffman, the other officials, and even Mad Dog Dan Sawyer.
After order was restored, another problem was presented; Mad Dog had
been suspended for hitting a person who was no longer employed as an
official with GCW. Mr. Kauffman rescinded the suspension. Just then,
Guff Grayson's music hit, and he came out with Tutwhiler and new found
friend Mason Fury. Grayson, told the crowd that along with Fury and the
Inhuman Fly, they were the New Triad. and they were getting ready to
dominate the GCW, and start a reign of terror. It was then time for the
    first match.

Joe Hogan def. Night Prowler via DQ

Joe Hogan came into this match outweighed by almost 60 pounds and was
towered by almost a half foot. Nevertheless, Hogan proved to the crowd
why he was the New Age Superstar and why he was one of the
best pure wrestlers in the GCW today. Night Prowler, tried to gain the
early advantage by overpowering Hogan, but was outmatched by simple
reversals, and Hogan using Prowler's own momentum against him.
Seeing that his power was not working against the ever-quick Joe Hogan,
Prowler switched gears and began using underhanded tactics to take it to
Joe Hogan. Prowler seemed to have things going his way, but a miscue
gave Hogan the break he needed to once again gain the advantage on
Prowler. At that point Theodore Tutwhiler the 3rd came to the ringside
area and jumped on the apron to get the referee's and Joe
Hogan's attention. In the meantime, Tutwhiler slipped the GCW Tag Team
Belt to Night Prowler who used it to clock Hogan. The referee made the
count, but Mr. Kauffman and Referee Dwight Snyder came to the
ring to inform Bernie Kowanawitz of what just happened and they reversed
the decision. This prompted Prowler to layout Dwight Snyder, and walk
away with a victory taken from him.

Mason Fury def. Sinister Seth Stevens

This was a match that came as a result of the TLC match in Childersburg,
when Mason Fury turned his back on his former friend, Sinister. Mason
Fury went right at his former friend, with a new found aggression. Both
men went at it tooth and nail, and used high risk moves to their
advantage. Sinister, gained the upperhand and was on his way to teaching
his former friend a lesson, but once again Fury reached down in a new
found bag of tricks and retook the advantage once again. Mason Fury hit
the Gore on Sinister and then attempted a top rope legdrop, but
inexperience and a little time wasting gloating caused a big miss, and
gave Sinister a moment to gain his breath and hit the Lethal Injection.
The count was broken up by Theodore Tutwhiler, and then Guff Grayson
came in the ring and assisted his friend Mason Fury in getting the pin
    on Sinister.

    Steve Armstrong def. Major Payne

Major Payne attacked Steve Armstrong from behind to gain the early
advantage, and kept it for much of the early part of the match. Payne
was taking it to Armstrong, but the ever resilient Armstrong regained
    the
advantage and used his height to his advantage in regaining the momentum
in the match. Steve had the match going in his favor as he took Major
Payne off his feet with a power attack. Just then, Steve Armstrong
ascended to the top rope and hit his patent Flying Clothesline. Just
after the three count was made, Inferno hit the ring and the two
teammates doubled up on Armstrong. Major Payne was holding Steve while
Inferno reached in his tights, and in one of the most cowardly and
disgusting acts, they proceeded to burn Armstrong with a fireball. Just
then Road Dogg, rushed to the ring with a towel to cover his fallen
brother's face, and to attack Inferno and Major Payne. Road Dogg called
the two out and with a little help from security they came back out. The
first victim was Inferno who was laid out with a chair to the head.
When the chair made contact, it broke over the head of Inferno. Next was
Major Payne who also was laid out with a chair, only this did not break.
Road Dogg then proceeded to challenge both men in a tag match.

Vinny V def. Guff Grayson for the GCW Heavyweight Championship

Vinny V came into this match as a former champion hell bent on revenge
on the man who took that belt from him the previous week in
Childersburg. Guff Grayson came out full of confidence and a little
arrogance in his first defense of the GCW Championship. If Vinny V was
to win the belt, it was going to be a tall order. Not only did he have
to overcome a ringside full of distractions from Theodore Tutwhiler and
Guff Grayson's self proclaimed New Triad, but he had to overcome a set
of injured ribs suffered last week during the TLC match in Childersburg.
Guff Grayson went right for the attack on the injured ribs and
used that for his point of attack the whole match. Vinny tried to fight
back, but each time he had the advantage a member of the Triad would
help cut him off and make the match an uphill battle for Vinny V. Guff
Grayson had things going his way and even hit "The Total Breakdown".
Vinny was not to be beaten so easy and found a way out of being pinned.
Guff resorted to trying to use a pair of brass knuckles given to him by
The Inhuman Fly, but Vinny cut him off and used the knucks himself
followed by "The Jackpot", to gain the win and a second reign as GCW
    Heavyweight Champion.

Mad Dog Dan Sawyer (w/Sherri Martel) def. The Inhuman Fly

After being suspended and then reinstated earlier in the night, Mad Dog
came in this match, angry, rabid, and looking for a fight. Mad Dog went
right after the GCW Intercontinental Champion. Mad Dog totally
overpowered his much lighter opponent, but Fly's manager Theodore
Tutwhiler the 3rd was there to either offer up a distraction or break up
a pinfall attempt. Inhuman Fly was able to gain an advantage and
during this distraction, Theodore Tutwhiler snuck up on Sherri Martel
and handcuffed her to the ringpost. With Sherri no longer a factor,
Tutwhiler and the Fly had open season on the Mad Dog. Mad Dog, not to
just fall silent to his opposition, fought back, but was put back down,
by a mysterious mist sprayed in his face by The Inhuman Fly. Fly
attempted another pinfall, but Mad Dog just was not going to lay down
    for
the GCW Intercontinental Champion. Mad Dog fought back hard and was
finally back up to his feet. He took control of the match and finally
finished off the Inhuman Fly with the DDT. The referee made the
count, and Mad Dog was declared the winner. Just then, the rest of the
Triad came to the ring to attack the Mad Dog. With Sherri handcuffed to
the ringpost and a four on one in the ring it seemed sure doom for
Mad Dog Dan Sawyer, but Sinister and Vinny V hit the ring to even up the
odds. As each man squared off with a different opponent, Sherri was
freed from the ringpost, and she went after Tutwhiler. In an attempt
to escape, Tutwhiler ran right into Mad Dog Dan Sawyer. Mad Dog held
down Tutwhiler and gave Sherri a chance to gain a measure of revenge.
Sherri's weapon of choice for revenge? A spanking. Tutwhiler was
being spanked by Sherri while the rest of the Triad was being "spanked"
by Vinny V and Sinister. Mad Dog challenged the three members of the
Triad to a six man tag, which was quickly answered by Guff
    Grayson, but for another time.

Pro Wrestling Talent and Ontario Wrestling Fans Beware!

Just a warning to any pro wrestlers, wrestling talent, and fans in suburban
    Ontario, Canada:

A promotion called Continental Wrestling Federation scheduled to promote 3 shows
under the "Wild Summer Nights" Tour this weekend in suburban Ontario, Canada has

canceled their shows and canceled out all name talent 1 day before the tour was
    to begin.

Simon Diamond, Dawn Marie, Chris Candido, Tammy Sytch, Little Guido, Johnny
Swinger, Little Jeannie, Bobcat, ref Charles Robinson, and myself were all
booked and advertised for 6 weeks. Although I was warned about the promoter,
Doug Felton, he assured me that these shows were legit. He even sent me an
airline itinerary that was never paid for and later canceled. I'm sure that all
of the talent involved, like myself, passed up numerous bookings and are now
left with an empty weekend. The above talent do this to make a living and are
now left with nothing but empty promises. It is my hope that by distributing
this information that this individual will never again be able to take advantage
of wrestling talent or fans again.

In the last few months, I have worked for many independent promoters that are
legit and honest and feel Mr. Felton not only puts a black mark on them but on
this entire business. Please do not be fooled by him again.

    Best Wishes,
    David Penzer
Former WCW Ring Announcer and Front Office Employee
