Vince McMahon comes to the ring. Last night at the KOTR there was an ugly rumor going around that if Benoit or Jericho had won the title they would come here tonight and defect to WCW. That didn't happen, and it never will. I'm proud to say that Steve Austin is still the champ. Austin did it all on his own despite interference from Booker T. The burning question is what does the T stand for in Booker T? How do you spell T? Tea? Tee? The T stands for terrible. Maybe it stands for trash. Maybe the T stands for temporarily employed. It is my intention to once again put WCW out of business. No WCW star has any business tonight here in MSG. No WCW star has ever been in here. MSG is the place that the WWF helped build. We had many great moments here such as this - Footage is shown of Vince McMahon Sr. being inducted to the MSG Hall of Fame. I guarantee you that tonight there will be many more memorable moments here in MSG.

Hardcore Championship
Test vs Rhyno
Running spear in the corner by Rhyno. Test throws some weapons in the ring. Test blocks a spear with the trash can for a two count. Rhyno throws test over the security wall. Both men fight towards the back of the crowd. Test suplexes Rhyno on a security railing. Test brings Rhyno to the back. Test hits Rhyno in the gut with a fire extinguisher. Test comes off the top of a scaffold onto Rhyno through two tables for a two count. Test puts Rhyno in a crate and pushes him against the wall. Rhyno backdrops test on the floor. Rhyno gores Test into a steel plating for the pin.

After the match Mike Awesome runs up and powerbombs Rhyno across a ladder for the pin.

Jeff Hardy vs X-Pac
Jeff with a baseball slide dropkick through the ropes. Xpac dropkicks Jeff off the top turnbuckle onto the security wall. Xpac follows out off the top with an axe handle. Back in the ring Xpac locks on a reverse chin lock. Powerbomb by Xpac for a two count. Jeff counters a missile dropkick with a dropkick of his own. Jeff with a rollup for a two count. Jeff blocks the bronco buster with a big boot to the crotch. Jeff misses the swanton bomb. Xpac with a backslide and his feet on the ropes for the pin.

Backstage, Austin and Debra enter Vince's dressing room. Vince wants to know where the hell they have been. Vince tells Austin what Mike Awesome did. Austin says he could care less, the bottom line is he beat Benoit and Jericho last night and kept the title on his own. Austin wants to know where Vince was last night when he needed him. Vince says to calm down and asks how Austin is doing. Austin says Vince does not care. Vince says he does care, and he and Austin hug.

Backstage, Trish Stratus is on the phone. Big Show walks up and calls her good looking. Show has a shirt that says "Big Show" on it with an arrow pointing down at his feet, and he wants to know what she thinks of it since she is the fasion guru of the WWF. She likes it. Show says he has a European championship match tonight with Matt Hardy and after he wins the title wants to know if she will take a European vacation with him. She agrees as long as they have seperate rooms. Show says they will work it out.

Backstage, Kurt Angle enters Vince and Austin's dressing room. Vince tells Angle he should be KOTR, but congratulates him on his win over Shane. Austin calls Angle a stupid bastard because Angle said he had a concussion but thinks he will make it. Austin said what Angle did last night was nothing. He didn't have to wrestle a triple threat match. Vince smoothes things over by having Austin and Angle sit down.

Richards insults NYC before the match. Tazz quickly gets the win with the tazmission.

Backstage, Regal is making Tajiri carry the KOTR trophy to the ring.

Backstage, Austin whispers to Vince to get rid of Angle, as in to get him out of their dressing room. Angle interupts by saying how tough he and Austin are. Angle says they could be related.

William Regal and Tajiri come to the ring with the KOTR trophy. Hello to all my friends in NYC. There is a lot of things that are lacking in this country such as politeness, washing one's hands after using the bathroom, and royalty. That is why it is my honor to award Edge as the 2001 King of the Ring winner. Edge and Christian come to the ring. While your victory will be forever tainted because of Shane McMahon, I still congratulate you. Let's give a very special 5 second pose to the common folks. Tajiri poses with E & C. Christian takes the trophy and looks at it. Christian then takes the mic and says it is an honor to be standing there with Edge. Edge says thanks. Edge welcomes us to a new era, an era of awesomeness.

Billy Gunn comes out to the top of the stage. King Edge huh? Congratulations. I wasn't even entered in the damn tournament this year. Instead, I was at WWFNY with a bunch of morons. I watched a talentless joke like you win the damn thing. Congratulations Edge. I really mean it.

Wow Billy. You sound like a vacuum cleaner, managing to suck and blow at the same time. It's not my fault if you've done a big pile of nothing since 1999. Unlike you, I will be an entertaining KOTR champion.

Entertaining huh? How about I just whip your ass tonight? Edge accepts.

Kane and Undertaker w/ Sarah vs Dudley Boyz
UT with a flying clothesline on Bubba. UT does the tight rope walk on Bubba. Dudleyz with a double neckbreaker on UT for a two count. UT with a leg drop on Dvon. Kane misses a leg drop on Dvon. Kane with a sidewalk slam on Dvon followed up by a top rope lariat. UT clotheslines Bubba out of the ring. Kane powerbombs Dvon. Bubba pulls the referee out. Albert enters the ring and gives Kane the baldo bomb. Dvon gets the easy pin. After the match Kane leaves in a hurry to find Albert. UT chokeslams Bubba. UT and Sarah walk up the ramp. DDP comes from behind and knocks out UT with a chair. Sarah swings at DDP but he blocks it and pulls a locket of hair out of her head.
Winners: Dudley Boyz

Backstage, Regal asks Tajiri how he can punish Chris Jericho. Tajiri says he wants to wrestle Jericho. Regal makes the match. Tajiri has an orgasm.

Matt Hardy w/ Lita vs Big Show w/ Trish Stratus
Show slams Matt down by his hair. Show misses a corner splash. Matt jumps off the top on Show's arm. Show throws Matt out of the ring. Show misses a clothesline and hits the ring post instead. Matt slams Show's arm across the ring steps. Show drops Matt across the security wall. Back in the ring Show headbutts Matt. Show with a big boot. Show misses an elbow drop. Trish kisses Matt. Show clotheslines Matt. Lita pulls Trish's top off and pounces on her. Show pulls Lita in the ring. Lita stops Show from chokeslamming Matt by kicking him between the legs. Referee calls for the bell. Show kicks Matt out of the ring.

Shane McMahon is shown live at WWFNY. Shane says WCW needs television exposure and that's why all the run-ins lately. Shane says since Vince has prevented WCW from airing on any television network, it is now time for the WCW to invade WWF. Shane says he will put Vince out of business, and the man to lead the charge is Booker T. Booker T comes out on the WWFNY stage. Booker asks Austin how it feels being the hunted. Booker says it was too damn easy to do what he did to Austin last night. Booker calls Austin out. If Austin wants some, he can come get some.

Backstage, Austin asks Vince who does Booker think he is. Vince says Booker is in his restaurant, which is only a couple of blocks from here. Vince suggests Austin go to WWFNY and kick Booker's ass. Austin asks Angle to come with him to WWFNY, since they have so much in common. Austin and Angle leave.

Backstage, Hardcore Holly tells Al Snow he has done a great job with Tough Enough.

Backstage, APA holds a meeting between WWF wrestlers concerning WCW wrestlers. Bradshaw asks them all to stand up for what they have built. Their is going to be a fight because they are going to start it.

Billy Gunn is shown walking to the ring.

Edge & Christian are shown walking to the ring. Christian is proudly carrying the KOTR trophy. Edge tries to get it but Christian puts it on his other shoulder.

Gunn backs Edge into the corner. Spinning heel kick by Edge. Edge with a missile dropkick for a two count. Spinebuster by Gunn. Gunn throws Edge out of the ring. Gunn slams Edge's head on the ring steps. Gunn punches Edge down in the corner. Edhe with a spear. Clothesline by Edge. Enzeguri by Edge for a two count. Christian hits Edge by accident allowing Gunn to get a two count. Jackhammer slam by Gunn for a two count. Knee drop by Gunn. Gunn hits a corner splash followed up by a hair slam. Christian enters the ring and gives Gunn a backbreaker. Edge hits Gunn with the implant ddt for the pin. Christian proudly carries the KOTR trophy as they head towards the back.

Backstage, Debra answers her cell phone. It is Austin and he is stuck in traffic. Vince tells Austin traffic like that is common in NYC. Vince tells Austin not to worry about the dork Angle, because he is Austin's backup dork for the night.

Tajiri has some new Japanese theme music. Jericho works the mic before the match and says his quest to become the WWF champion will never be over. Jericho with a running clothesline. Snap suplex by Jericho. Tajiri kicks Jericho in the head. Tajiri and Jericho trade chops in the corner. Spinning heel kick by Tajiri for a two count. Octopus by Tajiri. Tajiri hits a missile dropkick for a two count. Jericho with an enzeguri. Clothesline by Jericho for a two count. Jericho missile dropkicks Tajiro off the ring apron. Jericho hits Regal with a baseball slide dropkick. Powerbomb by Jericho but Regal pulls the referee out. Regal enters the ring and assualts Jericho. Tajiri accidently sprays the green mist in Regal's face. Bulldog and lionsault on Tajiri for the pin.
Winner: Chris Jericho

Backstage, Vince is on the phone with Austin. Vince tells Austin that is a briliant idea. Vince wants them to stay in the car and he will go to the ring. Vince will give them the signal. Vince hangs up the phone and goes to the ring.

Vince comes to the ring. Things have happened here tonight that I thought I would never see. Austin has come up with a plan. Austin will kick Booker's ass and Angle will kicks Shane's ass. Now is the time for all of us to enjoy what will happen. Vince tells Austin to get the plan underway.

Austin and Angle are shown entering WWFNY. Security tells Austin that Shqane and Booker left already. Austin gets on the mic and trash talks Booker for not being there. Austin makes some threats.

Back in the ring Vince says he is not suprised. Shane's music hits inside of the arena. Shane walks to the ring. Booker enters the ring from behind. Vince punches Booker one time. Booker gives Vince the axe kick. The APA led WWF wrestlers come out to make the save. Booker and Shane leave through the crowd.
