- As of right now, there are conflicting reports as to whether Booker T got heat from WWF officials for injuring Steve Austin at the King of the Ring. - Should the WWF give Raw's current timeslot to WCW, Raw would be on Thursdays meaning Smackdown would be taken off the WWF programming schedule. Coalition will announce plans to step up its youth voter registration efforts in New York City and at World Wrestling Federation live events through November. Linda E. McMahon, CEO of World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, is issuing an open invitation to New York City political candidates to attend a Smackdown Your Vote! rally Tuesday at noon at WWF New York in Times Square. She'll be joined by WWF Superstars Kurt Angle, Ivory and Albert; and Naomi Bernstein, director of public affairs for the New York City Board of Elections. The event is also open to the press and public. Voter registration will be conducted immediately following this event, and on Monday and Tuesday nights (June 25 & 26) prior to WWF shows at Madison Square Garden. Smackdown Your Vote! is a nonpartisan initiative of the National Association of Secretaries of State, the National Foundation for Women Legislators, the Youth Vote Coalition, Youth-e-Vote, Project Vote Smart and WWFE. More than 150,000 young voters were registered in a little more than two months during the 2000 presidential campaign, as a result of this initiative.
