WCW wrestlers at KOTR, Benoit injury update, Savage on Nikki, more Submitted by William Martinez on Sunday, June 24, 2001 at 9:12 AM EST
Note: LoP will be doing live play-by-play on tonight's WWF King of the Ring. Be sure to join us at 8 PM EST.
- Chris Benoit is in a lot of pain but like the professional that he is, he will suck it up and work tonight's King of the Ring pay-per-view. The word is that he will need a lot of time off either after tonight's show or this week's television. It all depends what excuse the WWF makes for his temporary departure. Doctors still do not know exactly what is wrong with Benoit despite undergoing numerous tests.
- Last night's WWF house show in Trenton, New Jersey was said to have a very poor attendence. However, the King of the Ring, also being held in New Jersey is sold out.
- There will be a WCW presence at the King of the Ring tonight. Diamond Dallas Page, Booker T, Chris Kanyon and Sean O'Haire will be at the show for sure and it has already been announced that DDP will be on camera as he is expected to have a confrontation with the Undertaker. Buff Bagwell and others are expected to be there as well but are not confirmed.
