    Part 2

    - Diana Hart-Smith joins us and she starts by talking about her book "Under the Mat" which will come out in October.

    - Diana says the book will clear up a lot of the rumors about her family and it will be the brutal truth. She says this book will set the record straight.

    - Diana says she imagines Bret won’t like parts of the book, but he may agree with some of her thoughts.

    - Diana said she anticipates an explosion when Bret reads some of her opinions.

    - Hart-Smith says she hasn’t spoken to Bret since the day after Owen’s funeral when he "tore a strip off her" and a lot of the members of the family because they literally embraced members of the McMahon family at the funeral.

    - Diana says the Hart family doesn’t care what Bret thinks anyway.

    - She is thankful for what Bret did in putting the Hart family name on the map, but Diana says that he owes it all to Stu.

    - Diana discusses how Martha (Owen’s Widow) is still very bitter. She tells that Martha wants nothing to do with the Hart family and Diana feels that Martha was somewhat smug even before the Owen tragedy happened. Martha called Owen a White sheep in a Black sheep family.

    - Diana says Martha was lucky to have Owen and not the other way around.

    - Diana said she was Owen’s sister and she lost someone she loved too, but Martha refuses to stop being bitter.

    - Hart-Smith then stated that Martha and Bret have been all about themselves since Owen’s death. Not caring about the rest of the family’s opinion.

    - Diana said she never sees Owen’s kids and she barely saw them when Owen was alive…she only saw them when Owen brought them by.

    - She then stated that Martha would not allow her children to play with Diana’s because she is afraid they will get along with them.

    - Diana then says the Hart family is a little odd but they are not bad people and Martha painted a bad picture of them.

    - She then says that Martha will not agree with a lot of things in the book…if she even admits to reading it at all.

    - Diana says she does not blame Vince McMahon for what happened with Owen…she says it was an accident.

    - She then says you can’t worry that things will go wrong in your life or you won’t do anything at all.

    - Diana says if Owen were really against doing that stunt then he wouldn’t have done it.

    - Diana says that Vince hires people to be in charge of stunts because Vince can’t be everywhere at once.

    - Diana believes that if this had happened to her father, Stu, during the match where he had Jon Foley suspended above the ring in a Cage and Jon had fallen to his death, then many people would have blamed her father for doing stunts also and their would also be people who understood it was an accident.

    - Rod sends us to break.

    Part 3

    - Diana says that she thinks Bret is more upset with Vince because of the Montreal Incident at Survivor Series 97’ then the Owen Tragedy. She thinks a lot of his bitterness towards Vince is because of that match with Shawn Michaels. She stated that Bret felt that he was such an asset to the WWF that Vince should have done whatever he wanted.

    - Diana says Bret uses Owens death as a platform to his WWF bashing because no one will challenge his statements if it involves Owen’s death.

    - Diana said that Martha and Bret act like they are the only ones who lost someone. She feels bad for Odge and Athena (Owen and Martha’s kids) because they will never get to know the Hart family because Martha and Bret have closed off all avenues.

    - Diana stated that Martha and Bret are companions now because they are both so anti-Vince McMahon.

    - Diana felt that it wasn’t fair that the WWF caught flack for the Owen tribute show because the wrestlers and the McMahon’s were being genuine.

    - She then said that Bret doesn’t speak on behalf of the Hart family when speaking about the WWF.

    - Doug then asks Diana about the recent charges against her husband the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith.

    - Diana calls Davey a little "Rascal".

    - Diana says she was trying to get Davey help because he was dying a slow death (By being addicted to painkillers). She said you couldn’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped.

    - She said Davey still thinks "in his polluted mind" that there is nothing wrong with him.

    - Diana then stated that Davey is now sleeping with her brother Bruce’s wife!!!

    - She said that Davey is not employed because he isn’t a safe investment.

    - Diana then said you don’t have to be a scientist to see that he was always wearing long sleeves and he was the color of eggplant purple and he was sweating all the time and his eyeballs were yellow.

    - She stated that Davey started sleeping with her brother Bruce’s wife because the have the same "interests".

    - Diana said that Davey felt the world would be a better place for him and his kids if she just weren’t around anymore.

    - She said that Davey was arrested for death threats to her and her brother Bruce.

    - Diana said Davey will go on trial for the charges against her brother.

    - Diana said they can’t find Davey to sign the divorce papers…she has agreed to just take nothing, so she doesn’t know why they just can’t be divorced…she said that she filed for divorce at the end of 1998 when she got out of the hospital. She said she was in the hospital because she took too many pills and was pronounced dead four times. She said she did this in a quest to get people to believe her…almost a "I’ll take my life to save his type thing."

    - Diana said that the incident didn’t make a damn bit of difference to Davey.

    - Diana said Davey put a restraining order on her…but it works both ways…She said she has the kids and they rarely talk to Davey because he changes his number all the time.

    - Diana says that her and her sister Ellie were like Thelma and Louise and they were gonna drive off the cliff together.

    - Ellie was also getting abused by Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart.

    - Diana says they both wanted to divorce their husbands who were totally rotten to them.

    - She says that in Jim and Davey’s world they think they would have been big stars, even without the help of Stu Hart.

    - Diana makes fun of Davey by saying he’s right he would have been discovered over in England while he was delivering fruit at age 15 and become the WWF Tag Team Champion.

    - She says that Ellie was more severely abused by Jim then she was by Davey.

    - She said the Ellie can’t break away from the yo-yo that Jim has her on…She’s with him, then she’s not, she’s in the women’s shelter, then she’s in the hospital.

    - Diana stated that she is dating James Trimble (Indy Wrestler Dick Butkus Jr.) because she is trying to get on with her life.

    - She says that Ellie is holding on to a ridiculous notion that if she got back with Davey then Bruce’s wife would go back to Bruce and things would be better again.

    - Diana said to Ellie "why would Bruce want his wife back and why would you want me to go back with Davey and for that matter why are you still with Jim."

    - Ellie said that she stays with him because "She’s been with him for 21 damn good years!"

    - Diana said to Ellie that if she stays with him another ten years she could be dead with the way Jim is.

    - Diana says Ellie has been counterproductive for her, in that she is dating again.

    - Diana says that Ellie has no problem telling her boyfriend James, who has been her friend for years, that she has no respect for him because he is dating a married woman right at the Sunday dinner table.

    - Diana says that Ellie has visions of Davey and Jim getting together as tag team partners and wiping the mat of all the competition in the WWF and that everything will go back to the way it was 15 years ago.

    - Diana says that if Davey didn’t have a passion for drugs then they may have had a better life.

    - Diana says that she has developed a close relationship with James. She says her brother Bruce gave him the name Dick Butkus Jr.

    - She says that he is perfect for a lot of things…He adores her family and he likes to be around them because he was an orphan and he thinks of her family as his own.

    - Diana says everybody loved James when they were just friends…Even calling him the next Brian Pillman. She said all of a sudden she asks him to a movie and he has been black listed from Stampede Wrestling and Ellie is telling him off at the dinner table.

    - Diana talks about how James just tore his petella tendon in his knee and may never wrestle again.

    - Diana plugs the book one more time…."Under the Mat" coming out in October…The story of Diana Hart-Smith’s life. The book features stories about her encounters with Andre the Giant ,Owen Hart , The Funks, Bret Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Dynamite Kid, Gorilla Monsoon, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Justin Credible. The book also features stories on Owens’ death, Vince McMahon, what she did when Bret left the WWF and Davey went to WCW and how much her life changed. Diana stated that Bret Hart fans might not like what they read… because it’s the brutal truth.

    - Diana says goodbye to Rod and Doug as we go to break.

    Part 4

    - Rod, BJ and Doug do a roundtable discussion with their picks for the King of the Ring.

    - BJ and Rod discuss the WWF’s new affiliation with Heartland Wrestling.

    - I wonder if the Memphis decision has anything to do with Jerry Lawler being involved with Memphis????…Just a thought
