WWF Smackdown Results 6/21/01

We're shown a recap of the Undertaker/DDP saga.

Medal hits and here comes Kurt Angle who also has a new Titantron. Kurt gets in the ring and got the mic. Believe it or not, some people have had the nerve to say that he's getting a little too cocky by calling himself a superhero. Is he super? Yeah. Is he a hero? Yeah. So what exactly is the problem? The fact that he can take down any person any time he wants and the fact that he stands for truth, justice and the American way classifies him as a superhero. It's true. It's true. Shane may be able to fly, but he is a mere mortal. At KOTR, he will show him how mortal he really is. Speaking of KOTR, he talked to his friend Shaquille O'Neal. The guy who left this town and won back to back championships for L.A. They all know who he is. It's true. It's true. Edge, Christian, and Rhyno, they don't know how thrilled he was that all four of them made it to the final four. However, it is a grown ups table and he's playing with boys. He says he doesn't really mean that.

You think you know me. You think you know me. Edge and Christian enter and climb into the ring. Kurt says in a lot of boys, he's a man who likes beating them. What he meant to say was...Christian says that he is a man and he is a superhero, but most importantly, Edge says he's a dork. Christian says he's a huge dork. Edge says dorkimus maximus. Christian says total dorkification. Kurt asks what are they saying. Edge says they didn't get in the KOTR to face him, but to beat him. If Christian doesn't beat him in the semis, Edge will beat him. Christian asks if Edge doesn't think he can be Kurt. Christian says after he beats Kurt, he'll gladly beat Edge in the finals. Kurt stops them. Kurt calls them ungrateful snot-nosed punks. He says after all he's done for them, they were nothing and nobodies without him. He demands an apology or he's gonna do something he's gonna regret. See this finger, see this thumb, he's gonna give all of them that and holds up a fist.

Here comes Rhyno and he climbs in the ring. He says it's real simple, they never needed him. He may be wrestling Edge in the semi-finals, but there's one thing for sure, the three of them are gonna make damn sure he doesn't repeat. Rhyno drops the mic and stares at Kurt. Rhyno turns to Edge and Gores him. Rhyno sits on Edge and beats on him while Christian tries to give him shots to the back. Kurt gets behind Christian and gives him an Olympic Slam. Rhyno stomps on Edge and Christian as Kurt leaves. Rhyno gets out of the ring as Edge and Christian are left laying.

Undertaker is shown in the parking lot waiting for DDP. He walks around and stands next to Sara. The two are waiting for him.

Spike Dudley and Molly Holly are shown in the back holding hands. Molly says he's got the Big Show tonight. Spike says he's gonna be alright. He asks her to stay in the back. Molly doesn't want to. Spike knows she's a tough girl, but he wants her to stay not for her safety, but for his piece of mind. Molly agrees. Spike says he's up next and goes to leave. Molly stops him and the two exchange a smooch. Spike goes to the ring for his match.

Weeeeellll. Well it's the Big Show. Here comes the Big Show. We're shown a recap of the closing moments of the Big Show/Christian KOTR match on Raw.

Bombs away and here comes Spike Dudley. We're shown a recap of Spike going through the table in the main event on Raw.

Spike with shots to the chest. Show pushes him down. Show with a slap across the chest. Show with a gorilla press and drops Spike on the outside. Show slaps the announce table. Show wheel barrels Spike onto the barricade. Show charges him and Spike ducks. Show goes over the barricade. Show is back up and climbs over the barricade. Show grabs Spike by the throat and throws him back in over the top rope. Show gets back in the ring. Show runs the ropes and attempts a vertical splash. Spike rolls out of the way. Show throws Spike chest first into the corner. Show splashes him in the corner. Show grabs Spike by the throat. Spike kicks him in the crotch. Spike with the Dudley Dog. Bubba Ray and D-Von run in. 3D on Spike. Bubba Ray and D-Von leave. Show gets up confused. D-Von is yelling at him to cover him. Show chokeslams Spike and pins him for the victory.

Undertaker and Sara are waiting by his bike. Sara points at something. Taker walks up to a limo. Taker opens the door and Vince climbs out. Taker is disappointed. Vince says he wants to set the record straight and he had nothing to do with DDP stalking his wife. He says from a security standpoint, DDP won't come within a thousand miles of the arena. Taker says he better let DDP in because he wants him. He says if he doesn't get DDP, he and Vince are gonna have some problems. Taker and Sara walk off.

Boom. Here comes Kane out of the fire. We're shown a recap of Kane doing a number on the crane game at WWF NY on Raw.

Here comes the Hardy Boyz and Lita.

Yo you dealin with the X-Factor. X-Factor enter the arena. Albert and Kane stare each other down.

Albert knocks him down. Kane knocks down Albert. X-Pac comes back in. Kane chokeslams X-Pac. Kane clotheslines Albert to the outside. Jeff with a Swanton Bomb on X-Pac. Jeff with the cover and the victory.

Vince McMahon is shown on the phone and talks about how Taker wants to let that WCW freak into the arena. Austin walks in and he wants to know Vince's decision on his ultimatum. Vince says he understands the ultimatum and he's still thinking about it. Austin says it's simple. Vince says something like this deserves a lot of thought. He says he thinks Austin knows which way he's gonna go. Austin says he's got something for him and gives him his hunting bow. He killed fourteen deer with that last year and it's Vince's now. Vince says thank you and he's always wanted bows and arrows and stuff. Austin says he's gonna need to sneak up on some deer. He takes off his camouflage cap and puts it on Vince. Austin says he's a hunter now. Vince says thanks to him as Austin leaves.

Sara is shown in the parking lot. Taker is getting frustrated. Sara asks him if he thinks he'll show up. Taker says he better show up. If Page wants to be famous, he'll make him famous and kicks some wooden structure.

Tajiri is shown in Regal's office watching his match with Rhyno on Raw. Regal comes in and hopes he doesn't blame him for it. Kaientai run in. Taka mumbles something in Japanese and wants the WWF champion. Regal says he can't have Austin. Taka says light. Regal says he can't have Jeff Hardy. Taka does some karate chops at Regal. Tajiri jumps on the desk sticking up for Regal. Regal gives Taka a match with Tajiri.

Kurt Angle and Rhyno are shown in the locker room. Kurt says Edge and Christian have a lot of nerve challenging them. He says on Sunday it could be the him and Rhyno in the finals. He says winning second place isn't gold, but it's a solid silver. Rhyno looks confused. Kurt walks out and says he'll see him out there.

Vince is shown looking at the bow and arrow. Austin and Debra walk in with cookies. Austin says that it might help his decision with some cookies. Debra says she was up all night baking them and it's her best batch yet. Debra tells him to try one. Vince takes a bite and doesn't like it too much, but says it's good. Austin says the cookies taste like crap because she puts too much sugar in them. Austin and Debra leave. Vince tosses the cookie he bit.

Rhyno comes out.

Rhyno and Edge start. Edge with right hands. Rhyno with right hands. Edge misses a clothesline. Edge with a flapjack. Tag to Christian. Christian uses Edge as a toad stool and splashes Rhyno. Christian with his version of a back breaker. Christian with right hands. Kurt kicks Christian in the back. Rhyno with a spine buster. Cover. 2 count. Tag to Kurt. Kurt with a right hand and down goes Christian. Kurt with right hands in the corner. Kurt stomps Christian down. Christian comes back with right hands. Christian tries to boot Kurt in the corner. Edge, Christian and Rhyno are outside the ring while Kurt is in the ring celebrating. Shane runs in from the crowd and nails Kurt in the head with a kendo stick. Shane mocks his celebration and security tries to take him away. Shane waves the kendo stick at him and runs out from the audience.

Vince is shown in the back taking a sniff of the cookies. Austin comes in and asks how everything is. Vince says everything is great. Austin asks how the cookies are. Vince says everything is great and he appreciates everything he's done for him tonight. Austin gives him a framed picture of him and Vince shaking hands at Wrestlemania. Austin says that's where it all began. Vince really appreciates it. Austin says he took it from his house, but he signed it "To Vince, All the best, Stone Cold Steve Austin". Vince thanks him. Austin tells him he could put it anywhere. He can even put it near his heart. Vince says he knows where he can put it and thanks him. Austin says bye and leaves. Vince just looks at the picture with an odd look.

We're shown a recap of the Tough Enough party on Tuesday.

Regal is in his office talking to Perry Saturn and Terri. Regal says he's giving him a hardcore title match against Test. He says he wants to make Test pay. Regal asks him if he understands. Perry says "Doggies eat applesauce to save the ozone layer." Regal says that Test says doggies eat kumquats to save the ozone layer. Perry says they eat applesauce. Regal says Test is going around telling everyone that they eat kumquats. Perry says they eat applesauce. Regal says he better make Test pay for it. Perry says he will. Regal says thank you. Perry says you're welcome. Regal says thank you. Perry says you're welcome. Regal motions for Terri to take Perry out of his office. Terri does so. Regal says make sure you take that belt. Perry says you're welcome.

Glass breaks and Austin comes out. He poses around the ring and approaches Michael Cole. Austin asks him where Tazz is. He's at the Tough Enough premiere. Austin stands on a chair over him and Heyman leaves. Austin says Michael knows why he's out there. Michael Cole says he doesn't. Austin says he knows. He tells him to shut his mouth the melee mouth bastard. Austin says look at him. He says Michael said he doesn't like Stone Cold's chances at KOTR. Michael denies it. Austin asks him if he did and just shake his head yes or no. Michael shakes his head no. Austin says he said Stone Cold hasn't been the same since he sold his soul to the devil. Michael shakes his head yes. Austin tells him to stand up. Michael doesn't want to stand up. Austin says if he has a back bone in his body, then stand up. Austin says he should whip his ass for talking about Stone Cold that way, but he won't. He says he should whip his ass for talking about Vince McMahon that way and he will. Austin drags Michael around the area and keeps asking him if he's ready to get his ass whipped. Austin backs Michael into the barricade and stands over him. Austin asks if they have an understanding and he has to answer yes sir Stone Cold. Michael answers. Austin stomps him down. Austin stomps on his head and rips his shirt. Austin kicks him in the ribs. Austin stomps Michael in the crotch. Austin stands over Michael's head. Austin kicks him in the ribs again and leaves. Michael is down and coughing badly.

Austin is shown walking in the back screaming to Vince to see what he did. Austin looks inside his dressing room and can't find him. JR is shown having taken Michael's place. We're shown a recap of Austin kick the crap out of Michael. During the break, EMTs took Michael out on a stretcher.

Test, test, this is a test. Test enters the arena ready to defend the Hardcore title.

Sirens and here comes Perry Saturn and Terri.

Test clotheslines Perry out of the ring. Test goes after him. Perry gets in the ring. Test tries to climb back in the ring. Terri grabs Test's foot. Perry knocks him down. Perry dives into Test on the outside. Perry puts Test back in the ring. Perry tosses trash cans, lids and trays into the ring. Perry comes in with a lid. Test punches the lid into Perry. Test with rights to the head. Test puts a trash can in the corner. Test tries to whip Perry into the trash can, but Perry reverses it. Perry smashes Test with a kendo stick. Perry climbs to the top. Test throws a trash can at him. Perry is crotched. Test puts a trash can in front of the turnbuckle. Test with shots to the head and goes up. Test attempts a superplex, but Perry drops Test's ribs on the trash can. Perry with a cover. 2 count. Perry goes up top. Perry comes off the top and Test hits him on the way down with a stop sign. Test smashes Perry over the head with a lid. Terri tries to smash Test with a lid. She misses and nails Perry. Test with the cover and Terri pulls him off. Test backs Terri into the corner and picks up a lid. Perry with a superkick. Perry with a cover. 2 count. Terri is up on the apron. Perry picks up Test for a DVD. Test drops down and tries to push him into Terri. Perry stops. Test with a full nelson slam on a trash can. Cover. 2 count. Perry smashes Test with a lid. Perry picks up a mop. Test boots it into his face. Test with the cover and the victory.

Terri is trying to help Perry back up. Perry has a small argument and shows love to the mop. Perry carries it out while Terri follows.

Undertaker and Sara are shown walking in the back and they run into Kane. Taker asks Sara if she's ready for this. Sara says she is. Kane says he's got his back tonight. Taker says he knew he would have his back tonight. Taker and Sara keep walking.

WWF Overdrive of the Week is DDP revealing himself as the stalker.

Austin is shown walking in the back and runs into a guy with a red shirt. Austin asks him if he's seen Vince. The guy says he thinks he left the arena. Austin says he wouldn't leave without telling him goodbye. The guy says he doesn't know. Austin keeps walking screaming for Vince.

Rollin rollin rollin rollin. Enter Undertaker and Sara. The two enter the ring. Taker wants to know who in the hell is Diamond Dallas Page. He is the sorry son of a bitch that he will beat the hell out of the first chance he gets. He wants to see if he's got this straight, first he trespasses on his ranch, he hides in the woods and he peeps at his wife like some pervert. To top it all off, he went and videotaped it because all he wanted was to be famous. Taker says Page is not famous because he sucks. Over the last two years, some people call it a decade of destruction, he's compiled a list of all the people who's beat up and a lot of famous names on it. He says that on that list, there is a place for him. His name is going to the top. It will say Diamond Dallas Page famous. He wants him to come out. He's begging him.

DDP's voice is on the loud speaker. He says he can see Taker and Sara, but where is he? Page shows up on the ovaltron. Page says they're at Smackdown, but he's on his ranch. He says let's take a tour. Page shows the shower. He says he's seen Sara looking oh so fine in there. He shows the pool. He shows the bedroom or he calls it the playpen right near the pool. He says it's like a cloud and he jumps on the bed bouncing. He says he'll see Taker at King Of The Ring. Taker and Sara are watching angrily.

We're shown what happened during the break. Austin and Debra were in Vince's dressing room with all the stuff that he gave him. Austin says Debra wouldn't have left if it wasn't something important. Austin says he'll pick up the stuff and find him. Austin has Debra carry all the things. Debra says don't forget her cookies. Austin looks at her and the two leave.

English horns hit and here comes William Regal and Tajiri.

Here comes Kaientai. Taka says he's insulting and degrading. He says he may serve tea and kumquats, but they serve eeevil. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ha. Funaki has the mic. Indeed!!!!

Taka does a sumo stomp and a karate kid stance. Tajiri comes at him with kicks. Taka ducks a kick and the two exchange slaps to the chest. Taka with a shot to the eyes and a shot to the throat. Cover. 2 count. Tajiri bounces off the ropes and back elbows Taka. Tajiri with a chop. Tajiri locks Taka in the Tarantual. Funaki jumps on the apron and holds Tajiri. Taka tries to run, but stops short. Tajiri kicks Funaki down off the apron. Tajiri hits Taka with a big power bomb. Tajiri with a kick to the face of Taka. Tajiri with the cover and the victory.

Benoit locks in the crossface. Ref is out. Bubba Ray taps. Austin runs in and smashes Benoit with the title belt. Bubba Ray rolls onto Benoit. Ref gets in the ring and counts to 3.

Austin walks out looking at Benoit and Jericho. Jericho and Benoit stare him down. Austin runs into Vince on his way to the back. Austin asks him where he's been all night. Vince says he's spent the better half of the night in the emergency room with Michael Cole. Vince says he doesn't give a damn about him except he threatened to sue him and his company. Vince thinks he talked him out of it, but he wants to sue Austin. It'll probably come out of his wallet. Austin goes to hug him. Vince backs him off. Vince says he gave him an ultimatum and say he's gonna be alone at KOTR. His ultimatum is simple. Either Austin walks out with the WWF title or they're through. Vince leaves. Austin is stunned.
