- It appears that WWFE is strongly considering turning Raw in a WCW program. It is unknown whether the show would be called WCW Raw or WCW Nitro. For those wondering, the latter is possible since WWFE owns the rights to the name "Nitro". As we have reported earlier, a WWF vs. WCW multi-man match is scheduled for WWF Invasion and the match may include a stipulation that states that if the WCW team wins, WCW would control Raw. However, plans have yet to be finalized. - Earlier tonight, Access Hollywood did a feature on the WWF. The show said that the WWF is in need of a new hero with The Rock out. They pointed out the WWF's declining business. They also pointed out last week's all-time low Smackdown rating and pointed out that the will be against Friends, Survivor and Temptation Island 2 in the fall season. They then showed an interview Stephanie McMahon and she said it was a challenge to keep ratings up. Access Hollywood pointed out that Raw has lost 1/4 of their rating since last year and Stephanie blames it on fans not being able to find TNN and the business being cyclical with the WWF currently being at a low point of the cycle. The show then introduced Tough Enough as the show to possibly save the WWF. Stephanie said that the WCW invasion is also an important angle to get viewers back. The Rock said at the end of the segment that he plans on balancing his movie and WWF duties. Access Hollywood finished by plugging Tough Enough and the King of the Ring. - On tonight's show, TSN replayed the Off the Record show with Edge, Christian, Val Venis and Chris Jericho. The show originally aired on March 30th, 2001. - According to the Houston Chronicle, Tony Norris, better known to wrestling fans as Ahmed Johnson, will be playing Shug Knight, the owner of Death Row Records in a VH1 movie called "Hammer". The movie will chronicle the life of rapper MC Hammer. To read the entire article, click HERE.
