- Despite the fact that Diamond Dallas Page was revealed as the stalker on Raw last night, there are conflicting reports on whether or not Page has actually signed with WWFE. Reportedly, Page was given a deadline to sign a contract with WWFE and up until that deadline, he was allowed to negotiate a release with AOL Time Warner. Apparently, Page has been the planned stalker for the past few weeks. - On Sunday, we reported that Vampiro suffered a knee injury after being dropkicked to the knee by Dr. Wagner Jr. at an EMLL Arena Mexico show. As a result, Vampiro has a torn ligament in his left knee. Frank Cusomano, the host of the Chevy's Press Box was very knowledgeable and a very big Harley Race fan. The interview was about 10 minutes long and was very interesting. He gave his thoughts on Vince McMahon, his toughest opponent, Hulk Hogan, Jesse Ventura, and Verne Gagne. Here's some of his responses. On Vince McMahon: - Vince has done very little for wrestling, but he's done a lot for himself. - Wrestling used to be wrestling. Man on man instead of a saga. Vince has made a lot of people wealthy. - The wrestling business was good before this one man single handedly put 29 other organizations out of business. Who was the opponent that he hated more than anybody outside of the ring: - Verne Gagne would have to be at the top of the list. Toughest singles opponent: Brawling style: Dick the Bruiser or Bruiser Brody Wrestling style: Dory Funk or Jack Brisco He went on to say other things. Among them is the following: - The NWA Championship belt is the only legitimate world title out there. He went on to tell a story of how he and Hulk Hogan had a match at the Kiel in St. Louis for the belt. - Hulk Hogan wasn't a real great wrestler. He just came along at the right time. - Jesse Ventura was like a big fat fish out of water. - Wrestling should only occur in a professional setting, a professional ring, with professional wrestling instructors. - He said that steroids were not more dominant in wrestling than football or any other contact sport. He insulted the athletes that have had to get ahead by using steroids. Finally they asked him what athlete would make the best wrestler today. He said that his answer might be surprising, but that John Rocker would make the best heel in the world today. Cusomano gave Harley Race a chance to plug his Harley Race Wrestling Academy and ended the interview. Very good interview overall.
