Early Invasion PPV plan, NY senator pushing wrestling act, and more

    - Reportedly, the early plan for next month's WWF Invasion pay-per-view is to have a WWF vs. WCW multi-man match. However, the entire angle could depend on who the WWF chooses to wrestle in the match. Should WWF mid-card talent be booked in the match, the angle will suffer and will be all but buried.

    - In another sign of the declining business for the WWF, this past weekend's house show attendence (Toronto and Ft. Lauderdale) were said to be at approximately 60% occupancy.

    - Tom Libous, a republican senator from New York, is pushing a measure called "The Professional Wrestling Health and Safety Act" which would order a doctor to examine wrestlers prior to a match. "A lot of my constituents are professional wrestling fans... . a lot of New Yorkers are," Libous said. "It is a lighter bill (than others). But if this is being enjoyed by our citizens, it's appropriate for us to look (into) it. Does it rank up there with the collision-damage waiver I want togive the car industry? No." To read the entire article, click HERE.
