XWF RESULTS Milwaukee, Wisconsin US CELLULAR ARENA By: Aaron Konieczny
They played through the XWF theme about 4 or so times, then David Penzer introduced the show. The sound system was absolutely horrible. I could barely understand anything he said. Then New Rock's 102.1 "The Freak" came down and basically just screamed into the mic, not making much sense. Basically just getting the crowd involved a little. Then the moment I've waited for, Rena comes down to the ring, and says how she is proud to be the C.E.O of the company, yadda yadda yadda. Then the bag pipes hit, Rowdy Roddy Piper. He comes down and goes on how this isn't about kissing your bosses ass, or anything of the topic. How it's about Sports Entertainment, and XWF is going to let the wrestlers entertain by sports. Then he get's into a story about Jimmy Hart. Hart comes down with Hail who is his new monster. Jimmy begs Rena to change the match between Hail and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. Piper makes the match for sure, and then the show begins.
FIRST MATCH HAIL(w/ Jimmy Hart) v.s Greg "The Hammer" Valentine Wrestling wise, this match was a total wreck. HAIL wins.
SECOND MATCH Drezdon v.s Big Vito Again, the hype was there, however the wrestling wasn't there. Drezdon wins.
THIRD MATCH Kid Krash v.s Josh ***** This match kept me from leaving early. Excellent job by both guys. You could see the heart both men poured into the match, a bunch of hard spots pulled off with perfection. Kid Krash wins with the piledriver.
FOURTH MATCH Buff & Curt Hennig v.s Vampiro & Johnny B. Bad A lot of talk before this match. Buff cuts down Milwaukee, and the crowd starts a chant "Buff got fired." David Penzer informs us all if we don't stop this chant, Buff will leave. Of course we all got louder. He didnt leave. Vampiro & Johnny win the match. Afterwards, Vampiro comes back to the ring and thanks us all from the bottom of his heart for comming tonight.
INTERMISSION:::GET YOU PICTURE TAKEN WITH THE X GIRLS ...Damn!...
FIFTH MATCH Hacksaw v.s The Wall Hacksaw wins the match with the 3 point stance clothesline.
SIXTH MATCH Norman Smiley v.s The British Storm IAN The British Storm makes Norman tap out with a submission of putting norman's head between his knees and squeezing.
MAIN EVENT(thank god...) THE NASTY BOYS v.s THE ROAD WARRIORS First of all, there was a bunch of BS before the match, 10 minutes of it. Boring, totally took me out of the mood to see this match. Road Warriors win the match. Piper comes out and screws the Nasty Boys. Then Rena comes down and raises the hands of the Road Warriors.
GOOD NIGHT FOLKS!
Overall......... ** 2 out of 5 star. I have to admit it's a decent start of something good. But lots of work needs to be put into the thought process of the matches.
