Major update on Nash to the WWF, WWA notes, D'Lo/Val, and more Submitted by William Martinez on Thursday, December 27, 2001 at 5:00 PM EST
As of right now, Kevin Nash has either agreed to terms on a contract with the WWF or is heavily leaning towards signing with the company. Despite the fact that no actual paperwork may have been signed yet, the WWF is proceeding as if Nash is a part of the active roster. Nash met with Vince McMahon and other WWF officials on Saturday in a meeting that was said to have gone very well. Despite Nash's AOL Time Warner contract running out at midnight on January 1st, the WWF may hold off his debut until after the January 7th Raw so that is doesn't interfere with Triple H's return.
Despite Nash's current status with the WWF, do not look for Scott Hall to join him. Hall's unfavorable status with the company stems from his phone call with Shane McMahon a few months ago where it was said that Hall did not pay the proper respect to McMahon.
Yesterday, we reported that the WWA had a four pay-per-view deal with In Demand, DirecTV and other pay-per-view companies. Actually, they have an eight pay-per-view deal.
The WWA have lined up several sponsorship deals for their February 24th pay-per-view in Las Vegas.
The WWA have also opened up an office in Los Angeles and plan on running between 70 and 100 shows next year.
There has been a lot of talk lately about bringing D'Lo Brown and Val Venis back to the WWF's main roster. However, it is unknown whether it will be a full time return or if they will be needed as Royal Rumble participants.
