Wrestler passes away, More on Hall/Nash, Flair's salary, WWA notes

  • Tragically, "Maniac" Mike Davis passed away of an apparent heart attack on Christmas morning. Reportedly, Davis woke up feeling ill which prompted his wife to call for an ambulance. There was a history of heart problems within Davis' family. Davis will be remembered for competing in Florida, Memphis, Puerto Rico, WCCW and the GWF throughout the 80s and early 90s. On behalf of LoP, I would like to send out my thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Mike Davis.

  • As was reported earlier, there has been talk of a Clique reunion should Kevin Nash be under contract to the WWF by January 7th. Reportedly, that is very unlikely to occur as Triple H wants to remain a singles wrestler and does not want to be associated with a group.

  • The situation between Scott Hall and the WWF depends on Kevin Nash as there isn't much interest for Hall himself but there is interest if he teams with Nash to reform the Outsiders, if only on a limited basis.

  • More and more, the WWA is being thought out as an option for free agent wrestlers looking for a promotion to join. The money the promotion offers is decent and the road schedule is much more favorable than that of the WWF.

  • Reportedly, the WWA has a four pay-per-view deal with In Demand and DirecTV.

  • It is being rumored that Ric Flair signed with the WWF for $475,000 a year.
