I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the entire LordsofPain family, to wish you and yours the happiest joys that this magical season brings. From the LOP family to yours; Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year!

Not a whole lot of news to cover today. It's always pretty quiet this time of year, as should be expected. We'll be back in full swing at the beginning of the new year.

Speaking of the new year. Steve Borden's (Sting) AOL-Time Warner contract expires on December 31. It has been widely reported in the past that he has no interest in going to the WWF. Rumor now is the WWA and XWF are gonna try their hardest to sign him. No word if he is interested but the last official word, according to Sting himself in old radio reports and interviews, is that he wasn't interested in coming back to wrestling period. We'll keep you updated should he have a sudden change of heart.

If any of you go to the XWF shows in Green Bay, Milwaukee, and Hammond this week please send in a report. We will definitely use them. For ticket information and who will be appearing on the cards go to http://www.xwfwrestling.com/tourdates.html

There was a big match made for the Royal Rumble at the Smackdown taping Saturday night in Orlando. I will not announce it here in the news until Smackdown has aired this week, because it will spoil it for people who did not read the SMACKDOWN SPOILERS.

Saturday night I attended the Smackdown! taping in Orlando, Florida. The real story of the night comes from after the show. I was driving with my friend south on the Florida Turnpike to North Palm Beach and we stopped at the first service station to eat. Who did we see in front of us waiting to get food at Burger King?? The Rock. I must say he is huge in person. After he grabbed his food, me and 3 other people approached him and asked him for an autograph, I felt bad because he was talking on his cell phone, but he quietly waved us to the exit. He signed my ticket stub and talked with us for a few minutes about the show and the whole terrorist situation. He wished us happy holidays and said he had to go down south to his home. No matter how you feel about his wrestling ability or his interviews there is no denying what a great guy he is.

I heard on the Jonesboro, Arkansas radio station that Raw is coming to town. They are advertising tickets going on sale January 12, 2002. The show date is Monday Febuary 11, 2002. The WWF website is not showing it yet though.

Note from Calvin - This is unconfirmed so take it as a rumor for now!

I conducted with Steve Corino on December 23rd.

BBB= Big Badd Buff SC= Steve Corino

BBB: You were talking about retiring, what made you want to retire?

SC: Quite simply I was out of goals. I have been so lucky over the last seven and a half years and did everything I dreamed of and more. I thought that there was nothing to accomplish anymore.

BBB: What made you to decide not to retire?

SC: Two words-THE FANS. I was shocked at the emails I got about my retirement. Out of all the emails I got, there was only one that was "Good to see you go" but then there was over 1200 that were asking me to stay, telling me that there was other goals that I had to make for myself. So because of the fans that emailed and the ones I met over the last few months at shows I decided to stay until I can't walk anymore.

BBB: Now that ECW is gone, what is the thing that you miss most about it?

SC: Seeing Jack Victory, CW Anderson, and Lou E. Dangerously every week. The four of us were a family on the road and it was some of the greatest times I ever had. I don't miss ECW but I miss them.

BBB: Who is your favorite wrestler to work with?

    SC: Dusty Rhodes.

BBB: What are some federations that you are currently working for?

SC: PWF (http://www.PWFProWrestling.com) which is a promotion that I started in the early part of 2001 and we are very proud of, Dusty Rhodes' Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling, the NWA, the FWA in England, and Zero One in Japan.

BBB: What is on the King of Old School's Christmas list this year?

SC: For my son to get everything he wished for. He has been a good boy and deserves it.

BBB: What is the current word on your wrestling school that you are planning on opening?

SC: It's not going to be a wrestling school. It is going to be a Dojo where students sign up and are trained in different schools, on the road, getting the whole experience of traveling, putting up rings, help put out flyers, getting in the ring two hours before the show, etc. I think it will be good for them.

BBB: Is it true that you were heading to WCW before it was purcased by the WWF?

    SC: Yes

BBB: If you could set up a match against any wrestler in the world, who would it be and why?

SC: I would go back in time and team with Dusty Rhodes against Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson. In my opinion, Tully and Arn were the greatest tag team in the sport and The Dream is a hero to me so I would have loved to be in the NWA at that time.

BBB: If you had to be stranded on a desert island with one of the following people, who would it be and why? Mae Young, Hulk Hogan, or Jeff Jarret.

SC: Jeff Jarrett. I have know Jeff for about 6 years and he helped me out a lot when I first started and is a great guy. Hogan I would just be in awe of and Mae Young seems to be someone you party with, but Jeff would be my pick.

BBB: Again, that you for your time. Good luck in all you do and have a Merry Christmas!

    SC: Thank you
