WWF TEAMS WITH CREED FOR NEW COMMERCIAL SPOTS
As part of a new first quarter branding and tune-in advertising campaign, WWFE has unveiled a "Desire" series of television commercials. The :30 and :60 second spots feature emotionally charged World Wrestling Federation footage set to Creed's smash hit "My Sacrifice." The branded commercial is tagged with the WWF scratch logo, while the tune-in spots feature a message for WWF RAW on TNN or WWF SmackDown! on UPN. A promotional hit for Creed's new album is also included in the spots with a photo of the CD cover. The flight runs through January.
WWF LETS THE FANS DECIDE
New Year's Eve will deliver a special "Best of 2001 Viewers Choice" on TNN. Nearly 200,000 fans voted on WWF.com for their favorite matches of 2001. Fans voted for one of 25 matches from RAW, SmackDown! and various Pay-Per-Events. The top 10 matches of 2001 will be unveiled and broadcast, some for the very first time on cable, on a special 3-hour WWF RAW (TNN 9:00pm ET) to ring in the new year.
TRIPLE H RETURNS JANUARY 7 ON RAW; APPEARS ON REGIS & KELLY THAT MORNING
After nearly 8 months of rehabilitation due to a torn quadriceps, World Wrestling Federation Superstar Triple H will return January 7 on RAW (TNN 9:00pm ET), broadcast live from Madison Square Garden before a sell-out crowd. A lot has happened in the World Wrestling Federation since we last saw Triple H. His wife, Stephanie McMahon Helmsley, unknowingly sold her shares in the WWF to Ric Flair; Chris Jericho became the undisputed WWF Champion, and Vince McMahon, his father in-law and WWF Chairman, now only owns 50% of the Federation, sharing ownership with Flair.
